Nice to see Julius kicking ass in the playoffs. Although it’s painful to think what could have been if not for Jacques.

    Let’s keep doing this!

    @sny_knicks:
“Everyone was shooting with confidence. Ball’s moving. Being aggressive. Getting stops, scoring in transition, scoring early. I think we’re really hard to guard when it’s like that”
    – OG Anunoby on the Knicks’ offense in Game 3

Nice to see Orlando not completely rolling over for Boston. The more they can extend that series, the better for us especially if we can take care of business with Detroit.

Anyone know how serious these injuries to Tatum and holiday are? If they’re not one hundred percent that definitely opens up a door for us to beat them.

    One game at a time.

The Celtics are pretty beat up. None of Tatum, Brown or Holiday is 100% and KP looked like he was concussed at times last night. This is the scenario we were hoping for to give us a chance to beat them. But first we have to keep moving the ball and players to get past the Pistons.

I am SO hoping the T-Wolves beat the Lakers. To me, the Lakers with Doncic should have a top 1-3 offense, but the defense is highly suspect at multiple positions. If the T-Wolves win Nico will probably send a writer plane over Dallas spelling out “defense wins championships”. 😉

I am torn between wanting good things for Julius and DDV, and wanting the humiliation of Nico Harrison to keep increasing. If the Lakers get knocked out by the Wolves, he gets to go back to his bullshit justifications for a while.

I just want good things for Julius and Divo. Wishing ill on someone is bad energy. Even if it’s a tool like Nico.

Also, what a great story if somehow we met in the Finals!

Things are quietly looking really good for the Knicks right now. Detroit is forcing us to evolve and Orlando is physically pounding the Celtics. This is the best case scenario I wrote about before the playoffs.

Speaking of the draft… Jaxson Dart better be good bc there were a lot of good players available with the two picks we traded for him. And we still owe a third round pick.

The other two picks we made (Carter & Alexander) were great. Teams like the Eagles don’t do stupid shit like trade three picks for mid prospect. They use all three picks and that’s how they end up loaded.

Daboll better be right about Dart bc the cost looks increasingly huge, especially with Sanders sitting there for us in round 4.

I wonder if Sanders falls out of the draft entirely at this point. If teams don’t see him as their starter in the short-term, they might all decide that the drama that comes with Coach Prime isn’t worth the hassle of making Shadeur your second or third-stringer.

But, yes, it will be embarrassing if he turns out to be a better QB than Dart. Several analysts I follow, like Mike Tanier, are outright mocking the Dart pick.

Randle and Divo worked their asses off for the Knicks. I wish nothing but the best to both of them, going forward. (Assuming, of course, we don’t meet them in the Finals. Which we will not.)

I love the two picks they did make. This defense is looking good. If we didn’t fuck around with Dart we could have added two more really good pieces.

The Eagles don’t do stupid shit like this. No one sits around their war room saying dumb things like “it’s been 5 years since we drafted a QB so you better pay a premium price to take a mediocre talent in round 1”.

I’m happy with the upward trend but this stupid trade feels like a Jalen Johnson moment that you know is going to cost you big down the line. We basically gave up a starting WR, a starting OG, and a 3rd next year for this guy.

The things I hear about Dart don’t endear me to him. Supposedly had the offense simplified for him and he struggled playing prime competition. Sounds like a guy who doesn’t have the talent and relied on a superior receiving core. Guess it’s good we have Nabers.

I do like the defensive line upgrades. Always a fan of Giants investing in a pass rush.

We should probably draft Sanders at this point, even with whatever problems that leads to.

    starting OG

You have figured out how to captcha those of us scrolling over NFL draft posts looking for Knicks post, well done.

Garland not playing and Mitchell has 6 points, up 20

Seems like the Cavs use a system and prosper

Nico has handled the situation in Dallas as poorly as is humanly possible .

However, I’ve been saying Doncic is a negative defender, too ball dominant and out of shape for years. I went as far as to say he may never win a championship because of it.

The only difference between my position and Nico’s is that I wouldn’t have traded a young Doncic for an older injury prone Davis. I would have waited for a younger two way player and not had the balls to do it anyway. But in my heart, I would have wanted to trade him also.

Doncic is a variation of peak James Harden and others like that. They annihilate the stat sheet as individuals and work really well with players that play off them, but they hinder others and their contribution to winning is overrated. Also, not always in shape.

If he doesn’t win a title with James this year or next, he may never get one. After James, the long term core in LA is going to be Doncic and Reaves, two excellent offensive players that don’t really compliment each other and don’t play high level defense. It’s going to be easy to a build a team that wins a lot of games around those two, but less easy to win a title.

The Lakers will find other, better stars to play next to Doncic other than Reaves, there is a one million percent likelihood of that.

Doncic is easily a top 5 player in the league and it’s silly to pretend otherwise.

Johnnie Bryant right next to Atkinson standing up on the bench calling out plays. He has to be in the running for a Head Coaching job. 39 years old and new blood in the coaching ranks.

Doncic is easily a top 5 player in the league and it’s silly to pretend otherwise.

    Jokic
    Shai
    Giannis
    Kawhi

I’d take all of those guys

After that you can bring LBJ/Tatum/Curry up

    So borderline 5

    Jokic
    Shai

My $0.02 on the MVP… it’s as close to a tie as any race ever, and the tie should go to Jokic to atone for the disgrace of giving one of his previous MVPs to Joel Embiid.

Two more picks I love for the Giants. Pretty much everything they’ve done since last year that doesn’t have Mara’s meddling fingerprints all over it has been excellent. (And yes, that includes letting Saquon walk.)

They’ve now gotten Tyler Nubin and this lineman (Mbow) with the two picks they got from Seattle for Leonard Williams. That’s some nice work.

I have Anthony Edwards over Luka right now too. Ant’s intangibles are 11/10 and he can definitely impose his will on a game as we saw last night.

It’s kinda crazy looking back that the knock on him early on was his perceived interest in basketball. He’s so locked in, both on the court and off

They’ve now gotten Tyler Nubin and this lineman (Mbow) with the two picks they got from Seattle for Leonard Williams. That’s some nice work.

With all due respect to Tyler Nubin’s ONE pass defensed last year in 13 games, did you watch Leonard Williams play since he let the Giants? 15 sacks in 24 games, 15th last year in NFL defensive player of the year in 2024. The Giant rush defense has been a sieve since the left.

    Williams is great but he’s
30 y/o and like Saquon was adding marginal wins to a terrible team.

I’d much rather have Carter, Nubin, Mbow, and a clean cap than have had 6 wins last year instead of 3.

The Griz did an admirable job of not being embarrassed on their home court. That said, I don’t know what exactly the beef they had with Jenkins was, but I feel like whatever it was, he couldn’t have done any worse than dropping from the #4 seed to the #8 seed and getting swept in the first round. Could have saved themselves having to explain the audacity of an April firing if nothing else.

    Williams is great but he’s
30 y/o and like Saquon was adding marginal wins to a terrible team.

I’d much rather have Carter, Nubin, Mbow, and a clean cap than have had 6 wins last year instead of 3.

The problem was their evaluation process has left something to be desired. They allowed Williams (14th in NFL defensive player of the year voting , Saquon (NFL offensive player of the year), Xavier Mc Kinney (6th last year in defensive player of the year voting) and Julian Love ( 7th ranked safety by PFF in 2024) to walk out the door over the past two years. However Schoen thought it great to give Jones 160M after Dabol resurrected his career. Not terrific asset allocation. No wonder they sucked.

And please don’t try to tell me it was some sort of Dr Spock 4 dimensional chess to let them suck just enough NOT to be in line for this year’s best QB in the draft.

As to Dart, I’m completely agnostic. I don’t watch enough college to have a strong opinion. However, I’m fine with it on this level; they hired Dabol to be the QB whisperer after his work with Tua and Hurts in Alabama and Allen in Buffalo. Dart is “his guy”, so, he gets to work with his guy.

Even if everything blows up and Gabol and Schoen both get fired, that move for Dart isn’t franchise crippling moving forward, only one 3rd round pick is owed moving forward.

I don’t think taking Dart was bad but trading up for him was probably foolish. He played in an offense that’s just not anything like playing in the NFL so you can’t really look at his college career and know one way or another if he’s going to be able to do it in the pros. But he’s got a good arm and he’s a good athlete so sure, why not try to see if you can get him to play you have to find a QB somewhere.

Jokic is taking the Clippers soul in this 3rd qtr

There are no words to adequately describe the wonder that is Jokic on the basketball court.

Meanwhile, Harden doing his seasonal disappearing acts.

    No rebounds… no rings.

Jokic playing chess, getting Zubac to come out to defend him so he could throw an alley to Gordon

That was an unremakable game for 47.5 minutes. Then they fired the screenwriter and hired James Cameron and now it’s a classic.

Am I the only person who thought after watching all the replays that Gordon’s right hand fingertips was still on the ball at the buzzer?

Am I the only person who thought after watching all the replays that Gordon’s right hand fingertips was still on the ball at the buzzer?

I think the ball was all the way through the bottom of the rim at that point

Why are the Jets passing on him with Fields and Taylor as their two qbs??

That’s what I’m asking. I was secretly hoping they would pick him up in a later round. Sure if they were a normal franchise, then yes, build up the team and then get that QB. But in my lifetime they’ve had maybe 3 good QBs. (Pennington, Testeverde, Ken O’Brien). The Jets have had an AWFUL record with picking the right QB, AND putting him in the right situation.

Granted I’m not sure Sanders is going to be a good NFL QB, but as a Jets fan it would be great if for once we’re the beneficiary of the league’s mistake.
