2025-26 Game Thread: Knicks @ Nets

The Knicks have at least luckily hit a stretch of games where even a struggling Knick team should be able to defeat the Nets with ease. I legit don’t know at least two of the Nets’ starters off the top of my head. I know MPJ, Claxton and Terance Mann start, but beyond them…Clowney, maybe?

So, yeah, this better be a win.

Let’s go, Knicks!

58 is still possibly great!

At the game with my little guy and he’s about to explode if Claxton sinks this FT to make the score 6-7

I hate how they pump loud sound at Barclays. It makes it a very unpleasant arena experience, and is not great even for the broadcast.

If they didn’t pump loud music you could hear a pin drop in here. This place is a mausoleum.

But I did get three tickets to tonight for the price of one ticket to Friday vs the Bucks @ MSG, and my 7 year old doesn’t know the difference (actually I’m not sure if my 80 year old dad does, either).

Not a good sign that the Nets of all teams can get an uncontested 3 or shot at the rim every possession.

At least the offense looks terrible.

Hello…(hello…hello…hello…)

Well I don’t care, I’m having fun watching Kolek.

Kolek with the rush to the rim!

Bouncing and announcing…

This is a fun defense first lineup despite having KAT at C

All our kids are doing well! Mostly on the defensive end, but that’s something.

The defense has not been good, the Nets have just been missing. You can’t allow 24 3PAs in 22 minutes.

You would think the Knicks would have the fresher legs tonight. But then again, the Nets are the youngest team in the league

Josh Hart is our best three-point shooter tonight.

I’m still against the trade, but there are moments when I’d rather see Anthony Davis in street clothes than KAT doing stupid things.

Only 14 attempts from 3pt for the Knicks along with just 10 assists, this looks like a game from last season.

Only started in the 2nd half, how did the Nets fans received Mikal? Oh forget about it, there’s no Nets fans! LOL

The Nets announcers just commented that Diawara is a player that Mike Brown raves about.

Have you guys tried the Sprite Winter Spice Cranberry, the ads finally got to me but it’s actually pretty great

I really liked that Kolek was being tough. Not just the charge, which was nice, but the Nets have been trying to tie him up a lot and he just shoves them away.

Towns is up. Thank goodness.

Staying in to get his 50 and make me look good…

Clyde “I slept with a lot of ice bags during my playing time”
Breen “I think i don’t want to know the details”

when did the knicks decide to only target poor free throw shooting big men?

anyway, we are beating the nets. yay

huk-sporti…i like it!

Players names are whatever Clyde says. Huk-sporti is indeed great. 😉

This was a game we should have easily won and we did. The talent gap on the floor was glaring. The Nets had no answer for KAT and at times they didn’t even look interested in disrupting our offense. That was jaw-dropping.

It’s a good thing we didn’t get embarrassed like in Dallas a few days ago. I was concerned about this for most of the first two quarters but we put it together in the second half.

This is a good win for the team’s psychology, but we can’t draw serious conclusions from this game.

I will say in all humility that if we trade KAT, we ain’t getting a higher character guy back.

To get Yabu in shape Knicks need to put a spy on every shop in NY that have baguettes! LOL

Bagels, Cyber, bagels

Breen mentioned it tonight, if Knicks win their next 2 games they win their group and advance to the quarterfinals of the NBA Cup since they’ll have head to head tiebreaker over Miami and Milwaukee.

Curious to see how motivated the Knicks players will come out on Wednesday at Charlotte, that definitely has trap game written all over it.

Went to the game tonight in Brooklyn with my son (he’s 11). KAT really balled out, especially in the second half. He’s our best defensive rebounder. I felt his defense on the ball and with some weakside help was better then usual. And yes, he’s absolutely a very likable dude. Unless it’s a clear trade to upgrade the team, and not create any new weaknesses, I think you stand pat for now. Let this team and new coach gel, give them 40 games.

FYI, it was my son‘s first game in Brooklyn. He enjoyed the entire vibe in the stadium. Lots of homage to Brooklyn hip-hop and Brooklyn culture..
