  • [NY Newsday] Knicks ‘excited’ about Christmas Day matchup at MSG
    (Saturday, December 24, 2016 6:28:12 PM)

GREENBURGH, N.Y. — The Knicks were down after a 17-win season and were left out of the Christmas Day lineup last season. But when the schedule came out for this season, Carmelo Anthony saw a Christmas gift: Knicks vs. Celtics at Madison Square Garden at noon on Sunday, Dec. 25.

  • [NYPost] Knicks’ Derrick Rose back in the groove but a big-time test awaits
    (Saturday, December 24, 2016 3:57:50 PM)

Though Derrick Rose got blocked at the rim on a rare driving dunk attempt Thursday by Orlando center Bismack Biyombo — a play that scorched the internet — take it as a good sign. Rose is feeling his oats, back spasms in the rear-view mirror. The Knicks are 2-0 since Rose returned from back woes,…

  • [NYPost] Christmas is when Carmelo gets validation — and revenge?
    (Saturday, December 24, 2016 9:44:40 AM)

Carmelo Anthony hardly can contain himself — akin to a kid envisioning his presents under a decorated tree. It’s not just the honor of kicking off the Christmas card at noon, but it also is playing the Knicks’ longtime rivals from Boston and attempting to avenge November’s disastrous night in Beantown. Carmelo Anthony is the News’ New York Sportsperson of the Year

A well deserved honor. My opinion of Carmelo Anthony has soared this year. It’s not just the message he tries to send, it’s the manner in which he delivers that message that deserves praise. He does it with dignity. His approach brings people together rather than drive a wedge between people. No matter what he does on the basketball court, he’s a champion to me.

Merry Knicksmas everybody! All I want is to beat the Celtics today!

Carmelo Anthony has grown a lot since he left George Karl. He’s become a great human being through all of the pot shots he takes and the extreme criticism. He may never be LeBron James or he may never be good enough to make his contract look good, but he’s a New York legend and the leader of a ball club trending upwards. It’s a great time to be a Knicks fan and Carmelo Anthony is a big reason why.

Very proud of Carmelo, let’s hope he drops 40 on Boston as a thank-you!

Should be a good slate of games today. I love the fact that 2 of the most historical teams in the league kick the day off with a rivalry game. And yes, I will be watching with a nice, warm cup of brown egg nog lol.

Merry Christmas Knickerbloggers. We did not get the stocking stuffer I was hoping for but wishing you all the best in 2017.
