2024-25 Game Thread: Knicks @ Kings – You’ll be King if Dogs Run Free

The Kings have one of the weirdest ass lineups in the NBA. The Knicks really need to win this one to show that they can win without Brunson.

I go with the talking heads and with KAT having a big game.

That was a terrible foul call. Josh fouled him running upcourt, nothing happened during the shot.

Grimes 35 points; 14/25; 5/11; 2/2; 7 rebounds; 5 assists, 3 steals; 1 block….just sayin

No mention of Grimes last week scoring 6 pts while shooting 2 for 11 vs Boston?

Good first quarter. We slowed them down, contested the majority of their shots, boxed out and rebounded well. I liked the way we defended the perimeter. Still a long way to go.

Maybe we should trade Towns and Brunson for a massive pile of picks and go with this all defense lineup using Mitch and Deuce. 😉

I’m actually enjoying this, which is a rarity for me.

Knicks always miss KAT when he gets down the court and gets great position down low.

Refs starting to try to make it close by halftime…Payne just got pushed out of bounds right in front of the ref and no whistle

Nice steal by OG, but his form from 3 a couple times looked like early on set Parkinson’s .

Considering how good the Kings are offensively Knicks have played excellent defense so far, granted Sabonis being out helps.

The Kings D is so bad Bridges realized he could actually walk in for a dunk instead of his usual pull up jumper

I thought DeRozan had two good points on earlier plays, but no way this isn’t a trip.

That first half showed why Thibs plays his starters long minutes. I was having a freaking heart attack with the ineptitude of our bench.

Well luckily we now have PJ Tucker so our problems are solved.

Yeah ball movement wasn’t better last game without Brunson against the Clippers.

That was a sleepwalking start of the fourth by the Knicks.

Let’s hope Thibs uses some good threats during the time out.

Way too many timeouts and challenges right now considering its a blowout, its late and I want to fall asleep soon let’s get this game over with.

By the way, the box score says MarJon Beauchamp and Anton Watson are in the house, and even on the bench. Who knew.

Kolek in at 4:44, for those who took the under pour yourselves another drink.

My theory is that if we shoot 57% from three we have a pretty good chance of beating most teams.

Kolek not a great showing, got burned twice by Fultz and missed two threes. C’est la vie.

But otherwise, a damn fine win.

I forgot they had Sabonis. That makes a looooooot more sense. I was, like, “How does this team make any sense?!” And obviously, you put Sabonis in there, and you can at least squint and sort of see a conception of a team.

The Knicks had to kick this team’s ass, and they did, so, well, you know, yay!
