User Verification Fixed

Hey all!

It’s been brought to my attention that user registration/verification isn’t working. Well it wasn’t working as of a few minutes ago, and should be functional now (I created a new account to test). So if you did want to create an account, it’s working.

Registering helps even if you’re a lurker, because it REMOVES ALL THE ADS from visibility!

You can register here: https://knickerblogger.net/login-nospam/?action=register

i love the smell of a fresh thread in the morning…even if i have no clue what’s going on…

just happy to be along for the ride…

Message to all you lurkers, please sign in and leave a message, even if it’s just one… we want to know who you are… and how many! 😉

I was a lurker from 2008 (or 2009, don’t know for sure) and only started in 2020 (i think), because there was always someone saying what i had to say, i felt i wasn’t needed, but then i started commenting and now i feel that i have contributed to this beautiful community and that’s a wonderful feeling! 🧡💙

“Gardens need a lot of care. But if you love your garden, you don’t mind working in it, and waiting. Then in the proper season you will surely see it flourish.”

Go Knicks!

Can verify that the site without ads is a much, much better place

Ha – not a lurker, I’ve been an occasional poster here for years. But three small kids mean I’ve been relegated to lurker status in recent years. I had literally no idea that if I at least logged in, I’d lose the ads! As if this week wasn’t already great enough!!

Anyway, as I’m here – absolutely LOVING the atmosphere and the chat here during this run, and couldn’t believe it when the old guard returned!! Can’t remember who wrote it but the post game recap after we eliminated the Celts in the playoffs in (2013?) might have been the peak moment of this site for me, even though it’s remained excellent ever since!

I’m registered but I still see lots of ads and personalized content for the New York fucking Knicks winning the nba finals

that’s weird KBPR…maybe it’s like a user verification issue or something 😜

though seriously, on android and clear and free of unsightly advertisements…

maybe try logging off and back on again…make sure the power supply is connected…and plenty of ink available…

Finally! Man, I’d been trying to register for days and I thought the problem was me for some reason. Much appreciated for the fix!

I used to post here back in the Melo days (I believe I’m the one who coined the Mega Max Melo term), and have been lurking for the last few years. Never really thought I had much to contribute to the conversation, but it was nice to feel like there were others out there who felt similarly about the team. I’m in Tampa, and there are not a lot of Knicks fans here; or basketball fans in general, really.

Never really thought I had much to contribute to the conversation,

totally not a requirement for engagement kahnzy…

get in where and when you fit in and all…

sometimes, the most fascinating things, aren’t exactly basketball related, but as long as you casually throw in a let’s go knicks here and there – you can pretty much share whatever, or just say hi, just to say hi…

tampa is one of the nicest spots I’ve lived, was close by macdill…

after getting out of the military didn’t know where to go, so I went to tampa…

think for some reason the sentiment got planted from watching that 12 monkeys movie…whatever…

wasn’t able to find work, and after six months left for cali…

growing up on long island, felt like I needed to get the heck out of new york and make my way to either florida or california…

fave part of that area is over in clearwater around the water…not crazy about being on it, but love to be by the water…just makes for a good day and a fine way to spend time…

Edit: let’s go knicks…

ways so cal is better than new york:
– less cold weather
– less bad weather driving
– more chilled people
– way way way less flying insects
– I was gonna say the ladies have a much softer sound when speaking, but, that’s not nice

every summer in new york people must swallow a pound and half of a bugs just – living…

Long time lurker here…I think I might have posted something once during the Melo years. Thank y’all for maintaining this amazing site!

Geo, I’ve adjusted to a not-quite-as-fast pace here. My body has adjusted to the weather, and despite my NY pride, I admit I much prefer warmer weather (spend a few winters in Syracuse and I think anyone would lol). By all measures, I have a better life here and found true career footing here, so I’ll always be grateful to LA for those things. Back when the Yanks won #27, if you’d told me I would be married to a crazy yet wonderful beautiful woman, take on her two loving big kids, live (eventually in) the suburbs and be blessed with the everlasting gift of my wonderful son, i would’ve looked at you like you came from weird dimension. And mind you, I was back home living with moms in ‘09 after bottoming out professionally.

But they can keep the trolls. And the passive-aggressive culture. And the “omg being judgmental is so evil” culture. And their fairweather sports fandom (with a couple exceptions). And the overall cost of living. And the culture of not calling out bullshit.
