If anyone could name the Grizzlies’ starting lineup tonight without looking, I’d be either very impressed or very concerned.

LOL! As Brian would put it, if it was against the Knicks – “2025-26 Game Thread: Knicks vs. 5 guys OFF THE STREET” 😀

So, we have Mr Burner Accounts for tonight. Looking at the standings i don’t think we can call the next regular season games meaningless.

“curious z-man, did you drop any weight the last month or so…not always the case, but last bunch of years was mostly a causal beer drinker, bit of a soda fiend though…”

I’ve managed to lose 3lbs in a month of no booze. I don’t really eat sweets other than PB&J (actually natural PB and fancy preserves that my wife buys), but definitely eat too much in general. Love that Dave’s bread with all the grains. So carb intake is definitely a thing, especially beer and/or those fake beers. At 67 the weight just doesn’t budge, especially on that belly. All that said, I think I look and feel pretty good compared to most guys my age, so it’s all good!

I just spent way too much time trying to get the Wizards to the #9 spot in Tankathon’s simulated lottery.

Didn’t happen in 100 attempts. They fell to #8 a decent amount of times, though, so let’s hope they fall to #6 or worse by season’s end, so I could dream!

I’m starting to think that if Harden came to the knicks, Mitch Robinson would average 25 points a game.

Haha saw the Mavs lost and tried that same experiment, Brian. I guess strength of schedule will be a big factor from here on out.

Will miss tonights game, going to see an all-female Zep cover band called Lez Zeppelin. I’ve mentioned my recent fetish for Dazed and Confused, that might describe my current state of mind as a Knicks fan.

zeppelin favorite…so many to chose from, i’m not really even sure anymore…growing up though no doubt over the hills and far away was the song replayed the most…

many is a word that only leaves you guessing, guessing about a thing
    you really ought to know…

    Didn’t happen in 100 attempts.

You’re only about 67 away from having it show up 1 time on average

    So you’re saying that there’s a chance!

ha clarence, still visiting friend, so, yeah no…

my mind’s been getting bludgeon incessantly with spy and cop shit…

fuck, I don’t even know anymore, maybe i’m starting to like it…

picking up the pooch tomorrow from sis’ place and back on home to mi casa…get back to the kiddos, ma and waking up with little miss doja doggie curled up next to me each morning…

remember when I first got her and asking someone what kind of dog bed did her cute old pooch have…she told me the dog slept with her…

fucked me up a bit in the moment, didn’t even know that was like a thing…they’re pack creatures, so yeah it is a thing…

and you what sir, I am pretty okay with that now…

truth is, I’ve seen Primal listed there on prime for a while, i’m just really particular on the type of animation i’ll consume…mostly just a visual superficial kind of guy i guess 🙃

now that you mention it though mister clarence, I will check it out and report back…

Yeah, Alan. It’s so good… gotta be honest you tipped me off to it and I’m so unplugged atm that when I try to enjoy tv I check out what you’re watching first. Learning to trust your opinions has been a fucking life boon.

Geo! I think you’d love it. Imagine you and Doja Dog taking on the world. No wasted words.

My three favorite Led Zeppelin albums, not in any particular order:

Led Zeppelin III – Completely successful integration of folk music, their vibiest albums, endlessly listenable

Houses Of The Holy – Full of iconic, epic songs, they really stretch out on this one

Physical Graffiti – Kitchen sink double album that is loaded with prime deep cuts

got me curious now jk, I see on their deluxe edition sets they have a bunch of alternate versions of songs listed…

don’t think i’ve listened to any, do you have any favorites from those alt versions…

this is pretty niche, but i made this draft page to show how game results would change if all the players who attempted 3s in the game hit them at their longer term expected rate. it doesn’t account for whether it was a pull up or catch and shoot or wide open, etc at the moment. there’s an offset for expected orbs changing as there are more or fewer makes.

    That’s cool PT

So the 19.6 is read how?

How may net points Pistons picked up due to luck?

Game certainly felt like that in the moment….

see, you tell people the universe is out to get you, and they pretty much just scoff at you…

compile some data, then do some kind of milo math magic on it and boom, plain as day…

could of grown up a nets fan, shoot even maybe a jazz fan, enjoy that massive big luck energy those fans are surely enjoying daily…

but, nope stuck as a forever miserable knickerbockers fan…

agonizing over a negative 64,000 luck percentage…I am in a world of shite…

Awesome stuff pt, did you use Codex or Claude Code? After 31 years of never coding anything outside of a class I didn’t do well in at Stuy, I’ve been playing around with them with some fun results. I’m on a ski trip this weekend with TNFH-GF and all her MIT friends and I feel like they’ve allowed me to participate in some discussions that would’ve had me sneaking Knickerblogger under the table a few months ago.

took a fortran class early on at school, remember those huge floppy disc things well, what the heck is that thing…

biggest takeaway, life is full of do-loops and subroutine errors…

oh yeah, and the weird floppy disc things didn’t play music…

Doing the cover band thing myself tonight…Sabbath cover band…going heavy on the edibles…

I saw an all female Iron Maiden cover last year…the Iron Maidens

Since I’ve Been Loving You is the Draymond of songs — amazing in almost every way yet still not considered an all time great.

Sports Illustrated had quite the headline…Knicks favorites vs Rockets despite key injuries to McBride, VanVleet

Yes, VanVleet’s injury, which occurred before the season began. Great work there.

yeah it’s claude code. it’s such an improvement to not have to iterate much at all.

yeah owen that’s how it works.

Did you use a prior for rookies? Because I’m looking at it and Brooklyn has the most luck and half their roster has no long-term 3p%.

Edit: Nvm, saw it at the bottom: 36%
