The Knicks head to Atlanta to take on the banged-up Atlanta Hawks in a game that would sure be nice to win heading into the All-Star Break.

EB, that’s an interesting thought, but Rokas probably makes too much money since the minimum Euro league salary is 1.1M euros.

A total fake news,
the vast majority of EL players is paid under 1M.
Rokas is playing for 700K and Maccabi has only one player over 1M salary.

Rokas is a PG who can play off the ball, Besson is a scorer/slasher SG who could play the “3”.
Rokas has more high-level experience.

Brunson’s ft shooting has been surprisingly iffy this year. I think about him like he is a 90% guy but he isn’t.

Brunson’s shooting 81.9% from the stripe this year. Career is 82.3%.

I feel like I should write something derogatory about the Knicks allowing 50 offensive rebs in the same possession.

Yeah, Raven, I guess I didn’t realize it somehow. Brunson feels like a 40/50/90 type (but isn’t)

Only 8 points? We should have been up more, KAT (when not asleep, 4 TO) and JB lead the way, Dyson Daniels is a great trade for the Hawks.

We’re doing an awful job under the defensive board and trying our best to put them back in the game…

Sloppy sloppy play, no chasing loose balls, no blocking out, and the lead’s down to five.

i remember the wolves game last year when kat had 44 in the first half but the hornets stormed back and won

I know Knicks are actually excellent at not turning the ball over but when they do my God it’s dreadful.

Knicks go into defensive slumps during games where it feels like the other team doesn’t miss for entire quarters.

Feels like one of those old fat heavyweight bouts where they are just hugging each other to keep from falling down.

If they lose, I won’t say they didn’t deserve it. They got away with not playing good defense for most of the game last night. Tonight, the played bad defense throughout, and hope to get away with it again. I don’t know if they will, but this is surely not a good approach for a top team that they want to be.

You were wrong.

Towns makes some dumb decisions. He’s better than Randle, who does stupid things, forces them, and then complains to the officials. But damn, he’s an airhead at times.

I hope Knicks lose this game plus every game rest of this season and miss the playoffs.

Worst loss of the season, letting this fucking team comeback and force overtime. Pathetic.

Knicks kinda feel like a tire that keeps losing air and you just can’t find the leak. Need the break and need to meditate.

The last seconds were the pinnacle of their disgusting “defense” throughout this game. They should have won by 50 against this Hawks roster tonight!

We deserve to lose this game. Terrible defense all game and poor execution at the end. It’s been 50+ games and this coaching staff can’t teach the team to defend the 3????

Every team can hunt KAT relentlessly or Brunson if they so choose but we keep running Brunson iso on Daniels instead of hunting Trae young or god forbid putting KAT in the post. The lack of creativity on both ends is killing this team. I’m getting very close to believe Thibs has served his useful life.

KAT and Jalen are a terrible duo in defending the PnR. Just terrible. Teams keep spamming that against them and they can’t figure it out.

They had Mikal attack Trae relentlessly last time these teams played, and seem to have forgotten that it worked?

That was so weird. Not one Knick was trying to get open for that entry pass. They just milled around.

Daniels is the player we wish Bridges was and he’d only gave cost one 1rp

We lost. Our 6p lead with 10s left is somehow far less safe than their 1p lead with 30s.

Pags did it again with the prediction. Not sure if we should be thanking him….

Was the dumbest most unforced OT ever worth giving Trae the opportunity he needed to choke the game away?

a little sad that Hart stuck his finger in Dad Bod’s face and taunted him there at the end.

They dodged the bullet. Did they deserve to win? Questionable. Are they gonna learn from this? Doubtful.

This was not a meltdown.They consistently refused to play good defense. At no point of the game did it feel that they are surely winning, no matter how many points ahead they were.

The timing of Mitch coming back after the All Star break could not be better

This is the last chance they have if they are to make a deep playoff run. They are going nowhere in the post season with this kind of defense.

Brunson bailing us out again – there should be no doubt he’s a top 10 player, particularly in the the clutch.

But this offense, which looks amazing at times, goes too iso with Brunson at the end. KAT was dominating all game driving to the hoop. Bridges has too many disappearing acts, tho his D on Trae at the end was great. Need to get him involved at the clutch and utilize his midrange.

Can this coaching staff teach better defense???? Been 50+ games already. Schemes are not working. Defend the 3, defend the 3, rotate better.

It’s better than losing it, but this is one of our ugliest win ever and the way we throw it away at the end of regulation was disheartening.

We need OG, Mitch (and Deuce) back asap because with this defense we can lose against a G-League team…

Towns needs to put SOME effort on D. Past couple of weeks he’s been awful, even more that OG isn’t there to cover for him.

Despite our great record, Thibs lack of adaptability is really hurting us. He is so fucking stubborn. Still not trusting bench fully – defense is so up and down but mainly down and not trying something different – lack of adjustments against good teams. That last one is gonna rear its ugly head in the playoffs…

I’ll cut the Knicks some slack because it was the second night of a B2B w/ travel, and ATL really took it to them energy-wise. But the unforced errors have to be addressed. Thibs had a bad game too, he should have called TO in regulation, and probably should have fouled when we were up 6.

Knicks only have to go 14-14 rest of the season to win 50 games again. Crazy part is would be first time since Pat Riley was the head coach Knicks have back to back 50 win seasons. They accomplished it all 4 seasons under Riley.

Very ugly win, but we were on a B2B and a couple of guys probably played too many minutes yesterday (Towns and Hart) given this figured to be a tough game also. A couple of guys were probably exhausted.

The defense is clearly a major issue, but it’s an even bigger issue when OG is out.

We gave up 19 OREBs!!!!

That’s ridiculous.

Towns is busting his ass on offense, has bad hands and a bum knee. He can’t do everything. We have to find a way to keep teams off the boards when they make a strategic decision to attack the offensive boards. There are too many games where I am screaming at the TV to get a rebound because we are getting beat by teams getting boards that should be ours.

Deuce is an important part of this team. We missed him. Missing Deuce and OG is a problem.

Dyson Daniels had 4 steals, and none of them were the fugazy kind. He’s fun to watch. Still, Brunson goes for 36 on 21 shots, many of them right in Dyson’s grille.

The Heat were up by 10 after the 3rd in OKC but the Thunder won the 4th 32-8.

Indiana were down all game long and barely beat the Wizards in OT (Toppin 28) and the Bucks without Giannis and Dame won in Minnesota (no former Knicks).

Assuming that Precious was in for all 6 of the non-KAT minutes, they shared the floor together for around 36 minutes. I wonder how many minutes KAT and Mitch will share the floor on average.

The Lakers have a chance to have the #1 offense in the NBA after the all-star break but I’m not sure they can defend anyone now. Davis was their best defender and Christie showed signs of being OK also and they were still bad defensively. Now, it could get ugly.

A TON of the others were long that bounced right to a Hawk. It was incredibly frustrating to watch. But a fair number were due to lack of effort/ exhaustion.

Mitch could be a useful pick-up…

Not signing off on a win’s a win for this game.

I was screaming on that possession.

The overall stats are whatever they are, but when I’m watching games I see way too many individual possessions where we have guys all around the rim and we give up multiple OREBs that result in a basket. It drives me crazy when they defend a possession really well and then give up the board.

I just watched the Ahmad Rashad interview with Clyde. I came away really hoping he gets to be part of another championship. No one deserves it more than him, considering what he has meant to and given to this franchise.

Just really glad that Trae didn’t get to do a celebratory routine on our logo tonight, that would have been a bitter pill, especially after being up all game and literally having it in the bag.

I always thought it was the opposite with drugs. People that aren’t creative do them to catch up and creatives… But in truth, most everyone does them in some form. Sugar, coffee, DMT. You know. The usuals.
