    Listening to Joe Pass, Virtuoso.

Turned on the game last night for all of one minute and saw Huk with a nice slam. Good enough for me on a random Tuesday.

Sad to hear about Shamet’s injury. Hope he heals well. Sounds like he had a chance to show some good stuff here. Pro sports can really frustrate guys on the margins.

Judge broke the site, apparently, (and he obvs reads us).

Wondering also if I should do squats. #gainz?

Sorry to see Shamet get injured, but even before last night, I would have kept TJ Warren as long as he is healthy. He is a scoring forward off the bench. Landry was filling that role, but he is a 6’4″ shooting guard, not a 3 and definitely not a 4. I’m confident Warren can come in and play with the second unit for 10 minutes or so a nightand give some better balance on both ends. I wasn’t really feeling the 3 guard alignment. Mook should have stuck around.

As far as Kolek, he looks like a good prospect, but a real liability on defense right. Both Deuce and Payne are far ahead of him on that side of the ball.

Hukporti will need to be coached up on defense, but I have some hope for him there. He was considered a defensive stalwart in Australia, the key defender on an excellent defensive team. The NBA seems to be moving too fast for him right now but I like Huk’s chances of succeeding as a defender once he adjusts to NBA game speed. He’s looking pretty athletic out there.

Would re-acquiring Bullock be better or worse than re-re-acquiring THJ? 🙂

(For the record, I don’t want either of those guys, or Marcus Morris for that matter, back on this team.)

Did I miss any discussion of Quentin Grimes’s game the other night?

20 points on 7-11 from the field, 3-7 from 3; 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 22 minutes. He had 4 TOs, but overall it looks like the knee is better and he’s ready to play some good ball for the Mavs.

I trashed the Mavs for a couple of years, but Nico Harrison has been doing a great job since Cuban became less involved. They look like a very serious contender to me.

Would getting Bullock be better or worse than re-re-acquiring THJ?

Can we have a do over on the Grimes trade that I hated?

Agree with this. I watched some of his clips from the Australian league, and he was terrific in drop coverage. When he gets in prime condition and more used to Thibs’ system, I think he’ll be pretty good.

Are we just going to keep commenting in both threads?

Alan, it’s called the weave. Only brilliant minds can comprehend it (-:

So who stolle Bibby’s cash envelope… Hmm checking the roster for potentials

So who stolle Bibby’s cash envelope… Hmm checking the roster for potentials

I saw that story…I feel kind of guilty, looking at the list of possible suspects, I thought about DWTDD…

Edit: read some more about the thing, looks like it may have actually been shump…

It occurs to me that if Boston lets Lonnie Walker go don’t they have to do that by waiving him? If so, some other team
Could claim him, giving us no chance at getting him.

Randle is currently playing against the Bulls. Lonzo Ball also expected to play.

Yeah Geo saw the thing about the thief saying his earrings got stolen, and only a couple of players had them at that time…

But I thought this was funny (Reddit)
Toney Douglas. He left FSU behind only Sam Cassell on the all-time steals list.

Toney Douglas. He left FSU behind only Sam Cassell on the all-time steals list.

i feel kind of bad now though for his name coming to mind…truth is, i don’t know none of these folks like that, and stealing’s on the top 10 of the list for shit not to do…

and, goodness knows i’ve violated a couple of those commandment line items myself, i used to have a real tough time with the third one, i’m getting better now though…

and toney douglas don’t need no shiney rocks in his ears to look good, toney douglas looks good just cuz toney douglas looks good 🙂

It’s sad that Shamet got hurt. It looked bad. I wonder how the Knicks handle the situation. I’m sure they don’t roster him, but does he get screwed with medical costs and the likely end of his career?

The logical replacement for Shamet in this lineup seems to be Dadiet.

Considering how the 3 rookies that are active have played, I’m now curious about McCuller Jr. Leon Rose seems to have a knack picking bargains and gems late.

    @FredKatz

Wrote last week that Shamet was likely to make the Knicks’ regular-season roster. Was getting regular time with them. But he’s also on an exhibit 9 contract, which means he has only $15K of injury protection. Really unfortunate situation for him.

Walker Buehler had a 5.38 ERA this season and the Padres cooked him last series..

has it been announced yet what the injury was? it kinda looked like his shoulder dislocated…

i haven’t a clue about mccullar jr, but – i am warming to the idea of giving dadiet some minutes…
