This years New York Knicks are going to teach us a valuable lesson

Nothing new in the News Bot article about Dolan, other than a quarterly reminder that he continues to be an idiot.
Who knew that the cost of becoming a quite good team would be the demise of Knickerblogger during the off-season…
I honestly didn’t see that coming.
This year’s offseason is actually more alive than previous years. Eye test alert đ
It happens. I need basketball back in my life. The Olympics were such a welcome interlude. Still thinking about Curry. So are the French.
Guys guys guys guys guys.
P&T has a “Where are they now? Ron Baker” post up: https://www.postingandtoasting.com/2024/9/12/24243094/where-are-they-now-ron-baker
Aw, the Mop-Headed Hustle Bunny. Thanks, Alan. One of my all-time bench favorites, only because I always like to find an underdog and root for them (see Deuce, one of the very few who didn’t crumble to dust). This line is pretty stark:
“He was the odd man out in a guard rotation featuring Frank Ntilkina, Emmanuel Mudiay, and Trey Burke.”
Man, remember when Trey Burke was a bright spot for this team?
Remember when Langston Galloway was practically our best available player?
At one point I thought Allonzo Trier was gonna be so amazing for us âŚ
I like that on LinkedIn he just lists “Athlete” for “Madison Square Garden Entertainment”. Not Shooting Guard or Basketball Player for the New York Knicks.
Doesn’t even mention the Wizards or CSKA Moscow.
Weird seeing his profile picture, he has short hair
The Ron Baker Player Option wasnât the most damaging dumb move the Knicks ever made, but it was almost certainly the most hilarious dumb move the Knicks ever made.
wasn’t Lance Thomas the Knick who played the game the right way…
I can’t remember if he was a mediocre player, or worse than that…
to be fair, for so many years players on the roster had to perform in a totally dysfunctional environment…
were they bad, or just in a bad situation…were they really that good, or just looked good because everyone else on the roster was so bad…
Just looked at the MIP odds for iHart and he’s +15000 and +25000 for DPOY. Is it just me or are these odds very favorable to bettors?
Think OKC will flirt with 70 win season. Will have the best defense in the league and they play an unselfish brand of offense moving the ball and making the highest probability play instead of hero ball and iso offense Thibs runs. I would have handicapped Hartenstein’s chances at 3%-5% and not +25000 for DPOY award. Same for MIP. Wonder what others think.
This is funny! đ

I hope they do one about Toney Douglas… he plays here in Porto now, and on my team (FC Porto)!
MIP is possible if OKC gets him scoring more and his tendons hold up, I guess. DPOY on a team with Chet is going to be tough and it’s also about to be Wemby for like 8 years in a row.
Frank Williams run as future All-Star Knicks pg until they traded for Marbury will always be memorable. Even Hubie Brown was talking him up after a Knicks victory vs Memphis.
I doubt heâll win MIP but I wouldnât be surprised if Hartenstein starts taking 3s and becomes a stretch 5.
I canât imagine any player in the NBA improving more than Victor Wembayama next year. Heâs probably going straight into the All NBA teams.
Pablo Banchero, Jalen Williams, and Jalen Johnson strike me as good bets for 2nd place.
I agree about Wemby
Still sweet on DLee, especially after that clip
Iso Zo is only 28 but it’s weirdly hard to find any info as to what he’s doing these days
He’s probably selling dime bags in Washington sq park..
I cant see IHart as DPOY
1) He does not have the block numbers/highlight reel
2) If OKC is good defensively, it will be attributed to Caruso/SGA/Dort
3) I dont think he will have the minutes. I am skeptical of the pairing with Chet
4) The narrative is going to be Wemby vs Gobert all season long
I could see MIP if he gets the minutes and a prominent role on offense (and because sophomores are downplayed for MIP because they are expected to improve)
I’d be pretty surprised. He doesn’t shoot past 10′ and he’s a mediocre FT shooter. When Brook Lopez went from never shooting 3’s to being a good stretch big he’d been hitting 40%+ outside of 10′ at a solid volume and he was a good FT shooter. iHart is just good away from the rim compared to Mitch.
