Just noticed that the mighty Cavs lost to the KAT-less Wolves and are only 2.5 games ahead of us in the standings.
That would be the ideal first round matchup.
The next 5 games are an important stretch:
@DET
TOR
WAS
@ATL
@TOR
We are playing well, healthy, and gelling. 3-2 seems like a must. Can we possibly go 4-1? There’s a tough 7-game stretch after that, so piling up wins is pretty essential if we are dreaming about becoming part of the 4-5 seed conversation. Maybe overall 7-5 is a fair optimistic ask? That would put us at 31-24.
Jeez, Z-man, talk about potential jinxes.
Z-Man,
What was your take on the rules conversation the other day? I like the 3pt line quite well. Game is fairer to players of all sizes.
This is a good dunk

Ahhh that was a nice mini kb break. I highly recommend.
Anyway, I’m not a big fan of LaVine, but he would still make our team eFG explode if he replaced RJ’s 36 min a night.
Yes, the defense would probably suffer a bit with him at SF, but it would likely be worth it, especially if we could get good minutes from RJ off the bench.
I think it was JK who pointed out that 3 of our 4 factor were top-10 but out team eFG is god awful thanks to RJ, Quick, and Randle to a lesser extent.
So I say, try to fix that problem.
I would be v happy at 6-6 over the next 12 with a healthy team on the other side.
On those next 5 games Z, I think we go 3-2 at minimum. None of those teams are pushovers, but today’s game should be a lock to win against a depleted Pistons squad that has to give Knox and Noel extended burn. But *knocks on wood* we have a good chance to go 5-0 over that stretch. With RJ back and the defense fixed, we can win at Hawks and Toronto. But shit..they will be hard fought, that’s for sure.
I think we have to beat the Wizards and Hawks. Wizards for the pick, and the Hawks to keep them behind us. I can’t really read Toronto because even when they’ve had their whole rotation healthy, they’ve been a little Jekyll and Hyde. Still though, it’d be nice to keep them behind us. The problem now is Miami. They’re heating up and we haven’t played them yet. Yikes
One man’s opinion (Zach Harper in The Athletic). That I share, so it’s two men’s opinions.
Their balance of starting lineup and impactful role players has this team reasonably confident in getting the job done. The Knicks probably have their most balanced and effective team since the 2012-13 season.
Should they make a move? I don’t think so. Let’s see what this Knicks squad can do with as much continuity as possible. And if it falls apart, you address the next step in the offseason. They have a good thing going, and it seems sustainable.
Raven, make that 3.
