Well, we definitely didn’t do this… so let’s hope they’ve learn their lesson and bring it for game 4.
I don’t feel all the confidence you guys feel, “now it’ll be a gentleman’s sweep” and so on. Spurs are young and each game we don’t “kill” them, they’ll continue to figure it out. Like it’s a lot more effective to go to the rim than whatever they do. Or that Wemby should be posting all our players, when Mitch is not in and if KAT has reverted to not defending like he did in the first 2 games of the series (i hope not).
We must win game 4 for this to not look like it is derailing. It’ll be the most important game of the season.
Watching the clips of KG in South Korea and Starbury in China, hearing Silver in pre-game interview about building international base, coupled with Golden Child Face of the ( International) NBA makes it easy to understand the whistle this series.* ( Expecting fair whistle in late stage capitalism sports** is hopelessly naive)
* not to mention NBA being in bed with legalized betting.
** college athletes can now bet on their own games and have their bans overturned by friendly state court judges.
Brunson’s taken 81 shots in three games and is shooting .370 from the floor, .318 from deep. (*) He’s back to chucking and the offense is back to him dribbling around while everyone else watches.
(*) In this and the Cavs series, he’s shooting .250 from downtown.
I sure hope not. With 2 wins on the road to start, it never happened before in Finals. But there’s only 2 instances before we won 2 games in SA, so it’s a super small sample. I’m trying to not remember about Paul Westphal. 😛
Shamet goes 3 for 7 instead of 1 for 7 from 3 – that’s it, we beat them at “their” best! and at our clumsy, iso fair to midland.
When you watch how good OG was . Its terrible he only got 13 shots
*Brunson needs to play more off ball, but that would require playing him with a Point Guard. Allowing the spurs to press creates all types of issues .
Make or miss league. Would be nice if Deuce could do something . Shamet has been bailing this team out. If Deuce wasn’t so useful on defense I might call for kolek
I still can’t get over that obvious flagrant foul by Wemby on Brunson. That’s why you have 3 fucking referees so you don’t miss shit like that.
And Wemby grinning afterwards makes me hate him and the league even more.
Yes if Shamet has a normal game we won but Hart did go 4-6 from 3 to make for that, which isn’t normal.
Deuce is giving us nothing on offensive, I don’t think Mitch is giving us much on either end. Someone needs to keep stepping up. Regroup and find a solution
The flag art was bad. Especially since Brunson got called for one on that 3. That’s a two point swing in a 4 point game.
NBA can review the Wemby play and issue an ex post facto flagrant. SMH.
Mitch has been a disappointment in the playoffs , but he did have the nice save at the end of the game 2.
I couldn’t care less about a post game fine for a flagarant that should have been easily called during a game. Helps us zero
It wasn’t missed. It was permitted
“I couldn’t care less about a post game fine for a flagarant that should have been easily called during a game. Helps us zero”
Could be nice to let him know that there are consequences, such as maybe calling it next time. And there *will* be a next time—the guy is a hothead. So much for “ethical basketball.”
