Frank is injured again. What a shock!
Looks like all the Knicks played well.
That’s a significant factor in his lack of development. You do most of your developing in the off season and he’s hurt virtually every off season.
Interesting how RJ is ranked fairly high here (#14) even above Anonuby!:

I agree with the article in that it is a list of 24 NBA small forwards… well, most of them are small forwards
Finally some games to watch! The off-season is way too long. A lot of take-aways from FIBA and the past few months…
-Brunson’s passing has improved as is the rest of his game.
-RJ looks like a beast. I remember his rookie season when he couldn’t win at the rim. Now he looks unstoppable.
-I’ve seen offseason workouts for almost every Knick rotation player. The one player I really wanted to see dedicate himself to the offseason was Robinson. All I see from him are posts with his baby daughter (I love that) and all of his new cars. I worry about him both as a player and as a person. He should be taking 1000 foul shots a day and working on a post-up game. He needs a turn-around jumper or a hook shot. He can’t slam everything. And if he’s buying all these cars, is he saving any money? This article came to mind.
-I feel bad for Frank Ntilikina who suffered a thigh injury that knocks him out of FIBA and may impact his season.
-I hope that Fournier’s ankle gets well fast and that he really impresses during FIBA. We need his trade value to go up. I think that we all want a good, all-around, defensive-minded PF/C added to this roster.
If it weren’t for the injuries Frank would’ve had a real shot at being a great depth piece on a middling European team
Just when I thought you were finally learning something about valuing players correctly…… 😉
Just because I mentioned Mitch’s work ethic earlier. Is this him getting ready for the season?
Mitch Instagram
If you can hook a fish, you can hook a ball
Mitch literally did a post where he said all he was doing is cardio and FTs and you persecute him
I wish I saw that post.
Yeah real Basketball Knowers know that all Frank needs is a healthy offseason to learn to shoot, make layups, dribble, pass, and rebound
Frank Ntilikina cannot be bad at basketball, because Phil Jackson drafted him and Phil Jackson knows more about basketball than all of you have forgotten
#goink
Mitch does need to practice shooting but I’ll judge him on his stats next year not his instagram.

RJ dominating Germany
RJ, like Melo, was clearly made for the international game
he looks quicker but sometimes its due to the opposition being a bit slow of foot…which that looks like the washington generals of germany team…aka hogan’s heroes all stars…
I can’t believe we have such an efficient scorer and shooter like RJ on such a bargain contract! 🙂
Screw OG Anunoby!
RJ laughs at the inferior skills of guys like Donovan Mitchell.
Boy, wouldn’t it be great if the big break-out season comes from RJ!
(…he says, swinging his leg through where Lucy had placed the football…)
As a Yankees fan the Knicks season can’t start soon enough…
It would be great if RJ were doing stuff life this in the NBA next year. Solid Knickerblogger consensus there.
Didn’t watch Canada but I was thinking RJs game fits FIBA better with some worse athletes and he can leverage his strength much more
The new deal is Anunoby + three 1st rounders for RJ.
Take that Masai!
+1
The Yankees have been like a functioning alcoholic who never fixes his life bc he’s just competent enough to avoid rock bottom. So I welcome this disaster with open arms.

Feels like we should have beat Spain by more than 10. Looking at their roster they’re not the juggernauts they once were. They’ll need some new blood soon unless Santi Aldama turns into a superstar
Um, so did they shoot 67% or 71% or somewhere in between? Good job ESPN
67% is the FG%, and then they split between the 2P% (71%) and 3P% (56%). Means that they roughly shot 2/3 of 2Ps and 1/3 of 3Ps. It’s not usual to do this on game box scores, but BRef has it on player profiles and i find it useful.
I guess there’s no official stats for a friendly game, but i’ve checked 2 score websites that i use for football/soccer and my reaction was “what have these guys been drinking??”. How come stats from the same game can be so far apart!?

They shot 67% from the floor.
71% from 2-point range
56% from 3-point range
