The woman accusing Kristaps Porzingis of a brutal rape asked the Knicks in late October to help “mediate” a payment of $68,000 she claimed the Latvian star contractually agreed to pay.
That was among the new details in an ESPN story based on emails, documents and text messages in the aftermath…

The Knicks eventually referred the woman to Porzingis’s personal legal representation.

So, with Williamson, R.J. Barrett, and Ja Morant all out of the tournament, who should Knicks fans look forward to seeing in the Final Four? Look no further than Texas Tech’s Jarrett Culver.

Happy Block Day … er, Birthday, Mitchell. New starting center Mitchell Robinson continued his rookie rampage Monday in a rare 113-105 Garden victory over the Bulls and he can now celebrate his record-setting accomplishments with a legal drink. But he won’t. Robinson, who resides just 20 minutes from Bourbon Street in New Orleans, turned 21…

The Knicks may have the NBA’s worst record, but the Bulls may have trotted out Monday the worst starting lineup anyone has seen this season. It was a lineup that made you think it was just an April Fool’s joke. In the finale of their six-game homestand, the Knicks built a 28-point lead in the…

Lance Thomas is trying not to read much about the Kristaps Porzingis situation in which a woman has accused the former Knicks star of rape in an NYPD complaint filed Thursday. The Post’s exclusive report Saturday detailed the accuser discussed with Porzingis a $68,000 payment, and a subsequent report Monday alleged she went to the…

Today I’m wondering if quilla19 was an AI bot designed by mike k to amalgamate all the many trolls we’ve had on the board into one cartoonish personality that he waited til April fools day to unleash.
That really was something. I kinda feel bad for everyone who missed it before it got deleted.
All the comments got deleted before I saw them, so I missed the whole thing. Believe me, as much as I like a good joke, the trolls of this site are something I abhor.
Oh and at some point when RiverAveBlues killed off their comment section, I thought of making a Yankee version of Knickerblogger. Basically allowing the exchange of comments by Yankee fans, in a (hopefully) intelligent manner. Daily link to articles around the league, etc. (If anyone is interested in participating, holla…)
BTW the Yankees should have signed at least one if not both of Machado & Harper. I was slightly more for Harper, given his left handed bat is exactly what the lineup needed. Although, character issues aside, Machado is likely to be more valuable over the life of the contract given that he can play SS/3B . Once Harper can’t play CF anymore, his value reduces for the Yankees, given he’ll never sniff RF with Judge.
But the team definitely could have used both. Granted they need pitching, but there was no great pitching out there. They could have moved Gleyber or Andujar for a good pitcher, or run with what they had. I mean, imagine a lineup where you have to face Harper, Judge, Stanton, Machado, in the middle, then add Gleyber, Andujar, Sanchez, Voit, etc. You basically have the Houston Rockets of MLB. Don’t forget their bullpen, and in the playoffs your rotation shrinks. You get 4/5 good innings out of Tanaka, Sev, and Happ/CC/(insert prospect here)/(trade for a starter)/whoever, and you’ve got a team that can win any of the next 4-7 the World Series.
It was a dumb move by them to pass on either or both. They’re ready to win now. You sign these guys, and you increase the chances of winning one or more World Series. And 8-10 years from now you suffer the downside of these contracts and rebuild.
Nets extend Kenny Atkinson, staff. Savvy.

I’d be happy to help in any way I could, Mike!
Not a Yankees fan but I think they should have signed Machado. That said, I am somewhat sympathetic to the notion that they had big financial commitments coming to Sanchez, Judge, Torres and Severino (who they ended up getting for a steal) which made it a little less palatable to sign a mega contract. Also, they were going to be really good even without one of those two so there was a little less juice in it.
Maybe they sign Keuchel….
