I can’t believe I’m saying this, but much like Dirk was in his prime- I don’t care if KP’s rebounding aren’t great if he’s scoring and protecting the paint like he is now. With guys like Kanter, Willy, KOQ, and Noah we can probably afford to have KP’s rebounding numbers where they are. He’s playing that well, hence the Dirk reference. Besides, he’s already spending enough energy being in the Durant/Steph/Harden/LeBron/Giannis stratosphere offensively. It’s entirely possible that if he steps up his rebounding, he could wear down. He’s carrying a helluva load for a team that doesn’t have the talent yet to buoy things when he needs a break. I can’t believe I’m saying this as well, but that’s practically what Melo went through as a Knick- and we all know how that turned out for him.

I think I would cut both B and Sessions and then give Burke some burn (he’s been playing well in G League). Start Frank and let him develop some KP/Timmy chemistry and try Burke on the second unit. Trey’s ability to penetrate might really help there.

Looks like Covington (UFA) and Kyle Anderson (RFA) are the available SFs this summer. I don’t think Spurs will go too high on Anderson since they’ve got Kawhi playing the same position. Trading both Lee and KOQ together for a 1st round pick and an expiring contract would be ideal. If we’re lucky we might end up with this rotation to start next season:

      1: Frank/Burke
      2: Timmy/Dotson
      3: Covington/McDermott
      4: KP/Draft Pick
      5: Kanter/Willy/Noah
