According to KnicksFanTV:
Knicks News: According to league sources, both Taylor Jenkins and Mike Brown are headed for a second round of interviews. Micah Nori is still being considered. The Knicks have also reached out to South Carolina HC Dawn Staley about the job.
Could be a nonsense rumor, but if true, that’d certainly be at least interesting, right?

Hey gurl, what kinda metrics are you into?
College is obviously very different from the NBA but she built that S. Carolina program into a juggernaut so she must know something
She was also coaching Temple while playing professional basketball, which seems to stand out in regards to her ability.
I’m a little ashamed to say I’d be completely shocked with Dawn Staley as a candidate. Even as we’ve heard Becky Hammond’s name brought up as a HC candidate for several years.
But Staley is THAT lady, tho.
Oh Lord Jesus… #lolKnicksSupv is now all over this. I bet he couldn’t text me fast enough once his X alert went off.
Becky blew any chance when she said something like a team couldn’t win a championship with Brunson as its best player.
Dawn Staley is for sure interesting. I trust that if they go with her she’s a fit for the org and they are confident in her making the transition. Would definitely be a ballsy move.
Would she keep Rick Brunson though lol
This reeks so bad of Leon doing someone a favor that I’m not even going to bother googling “is Dawn Staley a CAA client.”
Put the Knicks first, asshole, not your friends and family.
Fucking clown show.
Ball for Okoro is a steal for Cleveland IMO, they got even scarier, wish we got him…
I am ashamed that I never considered Staley. And I’ve been a huge Dawn Staley fan since she played at UVA. That is one intriguing candidate. She’s a better coach than Hammond for sure. And I think the world of Hammond. I’d love to see her become the first female HC in the league and do it as the coach of the Knicks. But..this exact moment might be too big as she has no relationships within the organization. However, I won’t be mad at all if she was offered the job. I’m just not sure if it’s right for her at the moment.
I LOVE Dawn Staley. LOVE HERRRR
The idea of Lonzo Ball is a good one but he’s played in 70 games the last 4 seasons and has played more than 50 games three times in his career.
Whoa that is an absolute shit-ton of pressure. ‘Hey come in and be the first female HC in NBA history – you need to win a championship within 2-3 years and deal with the NY media and rabid psychos everyday…’
I can get down with Staley. Turn over all stones.
I would be shocked if they hired Staley. Pleasantly shocked, but shocked.
Meanwhile:
OKC has too many players, Jones probably isn’t anything but that’s a nice little move by the Wizards to take a shot on the Knicks legend. They’ve seemed less incompetent lately
I love Staley too but not sure it’s an upgrade. For her.
There’s no coach out there that’s better for this team than Thibs but alas, he’s gone and this team can’t find a coach. Male, female, whatever, being the head coach of the Knicks is not an easy job and I wouldn’t want to hire someone that has no NBA experience at all.
What’s the absolute worst possible spin I can put on this to make Leon look bad…

…Nailed it!
Is there any good reason for Leon not to interview Staley?
Jarod Leto as skeletor is interesting tho.
Actually it’s the correct read of the situation.
Staley has a 0% chance of becoming the next Knicks coach.
We are not interviewing her for the Knicks. We’re doing it for Staley (who — shocker — turned out is represented by one of Leon’s closest associates).
We need a coach, and Leon’s using this opening to get his friends paid.
Wouldn’t you want to be Leon’s friend?
Just like he used the 8th pick in the 2020 draft on his son’s client despite numerous obviously better prospects available, and then traded him for peanuts to a competitor to do his son a solid, and then gave a 3&D wing with a 0.1 bpm a preposterous 5 year, $42M contract… that got his son paid.
Wake up and smell the nepotism, Raven. This is a circus. We’re just lucky someone’s son is Jalen Brunson.
Leon has destroyed the Knicks. He’s a clown. Rocks are tasty. Swift boats are fast.
Are you just name-dropping posters?
No. I’m drunk. I wrapped my film and I have no filter. I’m raw like sushi. I started drinking again because it’s like the greatest social lubricant that’s legal but I’m quitting again as soon as I get back home. But I missed you. Buck up, Chuck.
