We will come out flat Game 1 with our defective starting lineup and never lead the series. Brown will start Mitch once we’re down 3-1 but too late. Hawks in 6

I said Knicks in 5 games. This is coming from the fan in me and not from even the remotest pretense of objectivity.

I mentioned earlier in the week that past 2 years Knicks had a 3-1 lead but failed to close out series at home then needed dramatic Game 6 wins on road to advance. I say this year Knicks take care of business in Game 5 to close out the series.

Knicks in 5 but Pags will still find a way to spin it negatively.

This team is gonna surprise a lot of people
with how locked in they’re gonna be.

Comes down to the starting lineup which has 2.3 net rating this season. It needs to be a lot better than that. If it’s clicking 5 games.

I think it takes 6…there likely isn’t any magical switch flipping with this team…I think regular season is WYSIWYG…it’s all going to be a grind…

oh shit, the magic are waxing that ass tonight…

not exactly sure what derriere hair removal has to do with one team dominating another but, yeah, it’s happening…

so far this play-in i’m 2 and 2 on picking the winner…guessing both the magic and suns prevail tonight…

Lol Geo you can’t guess the Magic when they’re already up 20

The Magic look like the team I expected them to be at the start of the season. Injuries were clearly a factor, but it was still a disappointing season until the first half of this game against the Hornets. We’ll see if they can sustain it.

The data and my brain are telling me the Knicks in 5 or 6, but my gut is telling me Atlanta’s defense is underrated and they play a fast style that will give us trouble. I suspect this series is going to come down to the last few possessions of 3-4 games. That scares the shit out of me even if we have the better closer.

I swear rama, I guessed earlier, and just procrastinated on posting…

if they win, I really need the validation…

you know what, maybe going forward I’ll just always pick winners post game conclusion…

slam dunk for my self.esteem…

For all the weirdness of the last couple of weeks of the season, I think the best 8 teams are in the playoffs. My feeling (or hope?) is that Detroit is gonna have its hands full with Orlando.

years ago I used to purposeful (and sometimes not so purposefully) call him kevin booker to oldest son…he would reflexively correct me and remind me it’s devin booker…

rode that joke for a couple of good years anyways…

goodness gracious donnie – do you do anything but watch tv…

don’tcha gotta work or parent or something…what’s wrong, no more exercising…

don’t get fat on us donnie…

it’s on prime sir…hope your evening is well…

Amazon Prime?? Pfft, I don’t know my password. (I have gotten $0 worth of my league pass so far this year, know what I’m giving up for lent next year)

I’d have to go in the next room and engage a teenager, and frankly, it’s just not worth it for a play-in game.

wasn’t a fan of jalen green in houston, just too physically slight to be effective…

not sure what’s changed for him post his recent injury, but this version of green as a sun is pretty useful…

funny, just maybe KD does equal brooks and green…

and miss the opportunity to disrupt whatever flow they got going…

c’mon man, this is a chance not to be missed…

make sure you uncomfortably linger afterwards…ask them how their friends are all doing…

Knicks in 4, outside of good matchups (Mitch & KAT will feast, JB gonna JB), I’m predicting we finally stop playing with our food and just beat the piss out of a first round opponent.

Time to do the thing

warriors three best players are past their prime hall of famers…

49 year old al horford keeping the warriors in it…steph looking extra gimpy…draymond still hanging on…

forget which barry it is calling the game, not too bad though…

Also good to see that each of the top teams have 1st round opponents that aren’t cakewalks (outside of Cleveland).

Orlando & Pistons- what’s the over/under for brawls?

made the mistake of checking the yankees’ boxscore…

lead off hitter (grisham) batting .143, that’s not good…see young mister rice is starting the season off well…

why oh why is aaron boone still managing my favorite team…after so many years, I take it as a personal affront when I see them play now…

Porzingis looked terrible, and the +/- supports that eye test… Kind of sad, at this point.

Jalen Green’s performance in these two games (28/49, 35.5 PPG) is why I’ll never be wavering from my “Just give me talent” basketball philosophy.

Unrelated, but just an observation: Kon Kneuppel was awful in these games.

Porzingis looked terrible, and the +/- supports that eye test… Kind of sad, at this point.

He looked suprisingly good in game 1 but horrible last night. Whatever his ailment is, it’s pretty much a chronic condition. It’s a shame. Between all the injuries and this illness he never got close to his full two-way potential.
