The Knicks have only a few games left to make up the two game lead that the Celtics have in the Atlantic Division. The Knicks haven’t won the division in over a DECADE (and have only won it once in the last 32 years), so, well, I’d sure like them to win it this season.
They head to Houston to take on a dysfunctional Rockets team that hates each other (and a coach who hates the team, it appears, as well) with their Hall of Famer talking shit about everyone behind their backs. It’s hilariously fucked up.
Let’s go, Knicks!
The division is in play, which makes me say, “Hooray!”

Houston is a very good physical team. It would be great if we could get the W tonight – for the standings and for team psychology. We have a very mediocre 20-18 road record this season with only two wins against top teams, one in Boston and one in Denver. This sounds depressing and telling regarding the probable outcome tonight, but, again, think how exhilarating it would be to come out victorious!
I think we are favored tonight,
Excellent start
This is beginning to look eerily similar to the horrible final week of last season…
Rockets with shock and awe start….
Do they know they are supposed to play defense?
Nah. It’s been over sixty games. They’d have known already.
Durant career high 55 points.
He may surpass that tonight
It they could only remember that KD is a good shooter and they need to stay with him!
Yeah this Knicks team is beyond desperate for the regular season to end already.
50 point quarter?
Goddamnit.
I may need a few drinks to figure out how to fix this team.
At least Caruana is winning the Candidates Tournament. Go Fabiano.
I’d say that was our worst quarter of the season but there’s a lot of candidates
Deuce playing makes this game a win no matter what the score.
OT
I’m going to see Duke Robilliard tomorrow at Daryl’s House. I can’t wait.
Nice, strat!
Nice start to second.
Nice strat and nice start…I’m getting dizzy!
I knew we’d come back like teams always do in the first half.
But we’ll be climbing out of a hole the whole game
Alvarado providing a spark!
I still have not 100% adapted to the modern NBA, where a 17 point first quarter deficit is a minor inconvenience
Knicks fake comebacks usually occur in the 4th quarter not 2nd quarter…
Its so fucking difficult rooting for this team…
When sheppard is throwing down dunks you know you are in trouble..
Well, that run went to hell as soon as Durant came back in.
i am in nyc for the next two weeks and choosing to avoid going to MSG because I don’t trust this team to show up on a given night…
am going to the yankee game this saturday night though…
We really don’t want to win our division
OG is having a rough night.
Man pepper as much as I bitch and moan about this team I’d love to see them play at MSG! Seen them play down here a bunch of times but never at MSG, heck I haven’t been back to NYC since summer of 2014 when I did get to see Jeter play at Yankee Stadium one last time.
Well, after I jinxed us we started sucking again. But that ending was cool?
Knicks 50 KD Eason and Sheppard 45
Good close to the first half. That was huge.
Honestly the regular season MSG experience is just exhausting at this point. Ticket prices are insane and there’s not a reasonably priced concession in the building. It’s simply not worth it.
I’ll still let myself get bilked for the playoffs though.
yeah…the cost benefit equation at MSG is dubious…not that yankee stadium is any better…
I honestly can’t wait to see Thibs’ face when this team gets bounced in the first round.
It probably sounds hypocritical coming from me but no matter how bad Knicks finish the regular season they aren’t losing in the 1st rd.
That pass by Hart was as dumb as it gets
This team is maddeningly consistent at being inconsistent. So many players running hot and cold constantly
Shut down brunson with your most athletic player and we are toast. Super easy playbook for opposing coaches
I honestly can’t wait to see Thibs’ face when this team gets bounced in the first round.
I’ll never understand comments like this. Some of the dumbest things “fans” can say.
How many division titles did the Knicks win under Thibs? Zero. How many finals? Zero.
What are you hoping for exactly
Different year same shit. Beat bad teams, uncompetitive against good teams. Less than the sum of our parts. Worse than our record. Easily thwarted by athleticism and length. Maxed out yet outclassed in the present by teams with a ton of upside.
Same old Knicks. We’re going home in 6 in the second round if we’re lucky enough to make it there.
Twice tonight a Knicks player has been stripped from behind without a single teammate letting them know it was coming
This team is fucking lost
Great having McBride back but man does he need to get into playing form.
Shame! Shame! Shame!
i don’t see how you can watch this team and think that they can win a championship but its all moot now…its just what they do in the playoffs and i think they will (as pags alludes to above) crap out in the 2nd round if they make it that far and we’ll see a bunch of new faces next year…
I still go to a lot of Yankee games because you can get in the door at a reasonable price and there are great spots around the stadium for cheap food and drinks, obviating the need to spend $40 on a pair of Michelob Ultras.
Turning this off. Wake me up in July after the Giannis trade.
things could be worse, I could have watched the last few games…
+1
A veteran team that has gone soft.
They quit when they don’t like how things are going.
Knicks are playing 5D chess. They’re losing on purpose so they fall to the 4 seed and avoid Boston.
What upsets me the most is that they had us under control the entire game, even those few times when we cut the deficit to single digits. I don’t think it was a matter of effort. It was a schematic issue, I think, and it has happened numerous times. I will leave it at that.
Great effort tonight
* Mike Brown seems to have an issue getting his team ready to play road games against quality teams. I don’t care about his wins vs Washington or sneaking out a win in Brooklyn .Not sure that’s good or bad for a head coach .
*this starting lineup isn’t good against good opponents. Mike Brown has chosen to go full force with it. Nobody to blame if it doesn’t work come playoff time. He had 82 games.
Outside of Toronto this team might not beat anybody

This is basically saying the starting lineup sucks on repeat .
