Mac McClung was amazing.
My only question is: who is Mac McClung and can he dribble, pass, shoot, or rebound?
McClung was in the g-league up until 5 days ago when he signed a two-way with Philly. I know nothing about the guy but I assume he doesn’t get signed of it weren’t for the dunk contest invite and his being an overwhelming favorite.
Philly had him on an Exhibit-10 earlier this year before letting him sign with their affiliate.

I wasn’t surprised by Sims’s performance. He’s an athletic freak, but jumping high is a different skill. You can see it with Obi last year or McClung this year, they’re able to twist into 360s and do more with the ball in the air. I think there’s an advantage to being skinny, think Tony Hawk doing a 900.
Sims also got his invite like a week ago, so he didn’t have much time to prepare.
I thought that with Sims leaping ability he could have tried to dunk from the free throw line which is a classic difficult dunk.
I largely ignore the NBA Midseason Marketing Event because it’s (usually) pretty boring, but I just read that Jimmy Buckets met Carlos Alcaraz in Buenos Aires, which means he is not an All-Star. How did that happen?
