    I wish that KP had posted a sprint video instead of still photos but, from the photos, it appears that he’s really been working on his running mechanics. If you watch old videos of him running down court, you can see that, while he ran well for a guy that tall, he kind of shuffled without getting much knee lift, and his arms and hands were kind of all over the place. In the pictures, he’s showing much better knee lift and better drive off his back foot. He’s also got his arms bent at almost exactly 90 degrees, driving straight forward and back, with no side to side movement, with his hands exactly where they should be — i.e., “cheek to cheek” position (trail hand near butt cheek and drive hand near face cheek). I have no idea whether he’ll be able to stay healthy or what his basketball skills and lateral motion will be like, but I’m willing to bet that he’ll be noticeably faster than before running in a straight line.

    KD received a tour of the new Warriors arena today…made some comments about scoring alot of points there. I truly hope that our dream of him running the floor of MSG next season isn’t just a dream. Maybe Kemba Walker is more realistic.

    I’m arguably the most optimistic person in the KD to NY camp and even I think there’s a 60% chance he re-signs there. But I think we have the next best chance.

    Dred,

    I agree. It seems like they were so bothered by the thought of losing to the Knicks, they actually played good defense all game. I doubt they ever do that again. Also, they played us twice in pre-season and it wasn’t so easy, so they didnt take us for granted.

    @3

    At this point I just hope the front office doesn’t see the wizards blowing up as an indication to trade for John Wall. Man, that’s gonna be the worst contract in league history in a couple of years.

    you guys would feel much better about photos of KP sprinting if you could sit them next to photos of me sprinting. and mine would have a buffet in them

    John Wall is definitely a big fear of mine. He’s always been overrated, but the thought of paying him $50M at age 32? That’s terrible, and Wall to the Knicks or Suns is probably the route Washington would look to go.

    I’m almost afraid to say this, but I’m comfortably at the point with Knicks mgmt where I don’t fear they’d take on John Wall.

    I mean, I don’t think they’d do it, but his contract this season before the extension kicks in matches perfectly with Hardaway’s contract, or Lee + Lance… ok I’ll stop with the depressing thoughts, it’s Ernie Grunfeld, there’s no way he ever wins a trade with any team.
