KP is completely out of control. The Clippers tweet is just his latest childish crap. If the Knicks don’t discipline him somehow they WILL end up trading him for less than his value.

    You’re assuming KP did that.

Twitter accounts, like email accounts, get hacked surprisingly often. That’s why you should change passwords at least yearly.

Given the timing, it’s conceivable that someone hacked his Twitter and posted the tweet, which then set off an app notification on his phone. Its also conceivable that, upon seeing the tweet, he reacted appropriately and deleted that garbage.

It could also have been deleted by anyone else with access, like an agent, family member, or publicist.

We’re not trading KP to the Clips when the Celtics would probably kill for him.
He really needs a swift kick in the ass.
    Ciao from Venice, Italy.

I hope the Knicks pull an Aroldis Chapman with KP. Move him and Melo for a bunch of picks. Draft well this year and win 20 games next year and have two more top picks next year with a boatload of empty cap space. Then with maybe 4-5 young promising players all on their rookie contract that can land one or two young FA’s 2-3 years down the road and roll on and Phil can retire a hero…..

He knows it took 5 drafts to put the 69-73 teams together

Just to be clear, this is a Knicks blog.

Why on earth would Kristaps Porzingis ever send that tweet out? He’s been the most professional person on the team since the Knicks drafted him. That wasn’t him. Why would it be him if he’s basically demanding that Joshua Longstaff, a Knicks coach, be with him as he plays for Latvia?

And the Clippers? They have a great owner but who in their right mind wants to play for Doc Rivers the GM? Let’s not make this too big an issue.

Just to be clear, this is a Knicks blog.

    And your point is??? 🙂

Dealing KP would be the saddest thing. He’s the best chance at a homegrown franchise star that we’ve had in 30 years. There’s a reason other fan blogs are proposing giving up top picks in this ‘loaded’ draft for him.

Development takes time. It would have been great if KP had kept up his November form but just because he didn’t doesn’t make him a bust. Even post November once he fell off he still averaged more points than, for example, Giannis in his second season.

Yes, the exit interview stuff is a concern. But enough to trade him for anything but a godfather offer? Not for me…

My point was that the Knicks never, ever make forward-thinking moves like the ones you’re describing.

My point was that the Knicks never, ever make forward-thinking moves like the ones you’re describing.

I believe that noted philosopher from Hibbing, MN Robert Zimmerman once wrote something about, “… The times , they are a changin….!”

The Knicks haven’t traded a high pick in 3 years and now they have some moving forward. I’m not recommending forcing a KP trade, but if one that makes true sense shows itself, it would be malfeasance not to explore or pursue it.

Nobody in the Knicks organization wants to rebuild. Not Phil, not Dolan, not Melo, not KP, not Hornacek, nobody.

    We ain’t trading KP.

He’s been the most professional person on the team since the Knicks drafted hi

Sadly that’s no longer true. His “confusion from top to bottom” quote from a few months ago wasn’t professional. Blowing off his exit meeting sucked. Liking Melo’s Instagram’s response to the GM’s interview wasn’t. Then his interview with the Latvian journal. Now this. Enough already with this BS.

It’s remarkable that the stories about this team just keep getting dumber.

Pretty sure players are entitled to speak out about the dumpster fire that is the Knicks–literally the most incompetent organization in basketball and maybe in all of US pro sports

    mother fucking Kazoos

You people are something else. You won’t be happy until we trade every developmental player on our team. This is why we can never have nice things.

If/when the Raptors get swept, what are the chances we make a dumb trade for DeMar DeRozan?

Anyone know if Josh Smith wants to come back to the states? He’s going to be 32, so he’s the perfect age to play for the Knicks, and he was good in 2011, so Jackson knows his pedigree.

Only downside is that he’s bad at playing basketball. But think of the leadership and poise! He’d be such a sparkplug and bring veteran savviness to the team.

I’m thinking 4 years, $36M should do the trick.

The Mets and Knicks are really trying to out-incompetent each other these days.

@13 Blowing off the exit meeting was unconscionable. KP needs a good kick in his ass from his mommy or from Phil.
I agree that we shouldn’t trade him without a godfather offer but we must separate cancerMelo from him ASAP.

    Ciao from Venezia.

Until Phil is gone, nothing our players say or do in regards to this organization is unprofessional. The players have every right to say and do whatever it takes to stand up to a dysfunctional and underhanded front office. I cannot get mad at anything KP does because it is nothing close to Phil’s actions. If KP wants to go on social media and blast the Knicks front office every hour for the next 3 months I’m okay with that. KP is not a hostage and he deserves a working environment that is not toxic and has the right to speak out when it is.

He knows it took 5 drafts to put the 69-73 teams together

He doesn’t appear to be taking any lessons from those teams, though. But yes, that’s the model the Knicks should be following.

OMG!!! He sent a tweet and liked an instagram!!!!!11111

I miss the old days when it took a night of binging on coke and shooting up strip clubs to get a good outrage on. This generation cracks me up.

Wait a second here. Just saw the players mingling about and LeBron is taller than Love. Love also looks barely taller than Derozan. I see this often where the listed heights aren’t accurate.

Nah, Love is a solid 6’9″. Look at pictures of him in Team USA photos. He’s taller than LeBron.

Love also looks barely taller than Derozan

Shhh. If Dolan notices DeRozan is tall, he might trade for him. (#theeastisbig, man)

I read the story about Sweetney. It`s good and food for thought.

If/when the Raptors get swept, what are the chances we make a dumb trade for DeMar DeRozan?

I don’t know but I had the same thought about a month ago.

3-team trade with the Clippers with the Knicks sending Melo to the Clips, Demar Derozan to the Knicks, and Crawford/Rivers/a NY future 1st to the Raps.

That is a bad terrible trade but that’s what the knicks do.

However, I think there is pretty good chance that the Lakers try to go after Derozan if they decide not to wait on Paul George.

It is a truly joyful experience watching the Celtics get their asses kicked.

I miss the old days when it took a night of binging on coke

    There’s always the Mets

It could be that Porzingis’ tweet was hacked. It could also be that he thought he was sending a text but was sending a tweet instead by mistake. Then he could have been talking about someone else (for example, Melo) and the Clippers. Its impossible to just explain this to the press without getting lots more questions, so he just might have said his account was hacked.

Kristaps Porzingis was born in 1995. There is no way he thought he was sending a text or even a DM.

    I’m sure he was hacked.
