2017-18 Game Thread: Knicks @ Kings

Here’s a big risk for the tank, as the Kings are pretty awful.

But hopefully the Knicks can pull a loss off!

Let’s go, Nick Clooney!

So I saw 4 nominated movies: Get Out, Darkest Hour, Dunkirk, The Post. All were good, I liked Darkest Hour the best, then The Post.

Mudiay is so horrifically bad, my God

He honestly wasn’t worth the second round pick we gave up for him

    Mr Dolan,
About 20 minutes ago I tuned into the Knick game for the start of the 3rd quarter. I just turned on the Pirate-Twins preseason baseball game replay. Think about that.

Mudiay is 100% not a NBA player.

We might be able to lose every single game until the end, losing to Sacramento by 14 now… how is that even possible.

I like Hornacek more than most but how do you play Kyle O’Quinn, Courtney Lee, and Michael Beasley down the stretch if you’re trying to develop the youth?

  6. ClashFan

Hornacek must feel like he needs to try to win games to keep his job. If so, the management are idiots.

  7. dtrickey

Too much temptation to try and win games with “useful” vets. Ideally if you want to go young, you need the Kurt Thomas’ of the world. Good locker room presence, but happy to cheer from the bench.

  8. Bruno Almeida

    Holy hell what a shitshow.

Beasley turns it over, Skal freaking Labissiere hits a three, Z-Bo runs into the court, Lee misses the tech… you can’t make this shit up.

At least we clutched the L, but the fucking Nets are also losing.

  9. Bruno Almeida

At least it’s cool that we’re developing the kids by giving them 4th quarter crunch time minutes! I’m sure Beasley, Lee and O’Quinn are going to take away a lot from this experience.

  10. The Glass Half Rebuilt

The Knicks are currently 4 games out of the top 5 picks in the draft. We’ve been the worst team in the Easteen Conference since January 1, so I really like our chances at landing either Michael Porter Jr or Trae Young.

Four games is a ton of games, though.

Really, Mudiay has been very worthy of the 2nd rounder. Clean 0/6 while getting burnt every possession on defense. Beasley is also paying back some of those wins he got by being incredibly dreadful every time he touches the ball.

    @31

At least we’re not Atlanta! They benched Schroder for the entire 4th, “”””rested”””” Bazemore and still managed to beat the Suns on a game winning 3 that nobody even on the team cheered for or celebrated. I’m all for tanking as long as the system works this way, but even I think they went a bit too far lol

  13. dtrickey

@ 35 or you could tank like Dallas and get a tech foul for “accidentally” only having 4 players on the court.

  14. Bruno Almeida

Yeah… I mean, how can the NBA hope to stop this kind of bullshit by just threatening subjective fines nobody cares about in the first place? Such a half-assed approach.

  15. swiftandabundant

Here you guys all want d to trade Lee but he just made sure the tank rolled on. That’s what a smart veteran player does.

Think about it. Lee earlier this year breaks the Knicks record for consecutive free throw makes. He’s like a 90 percent plus free throw shooter. And he misses that tech?

  16. Bruno Almeida

Well, the Knicks still had to go the length of the court and make a shot in like 1.7 seconds, so as bizarre as it was, I don’t think it altered much of anything.
