    1. Ray Felton scores 21 in a win over OKC; Jamal Crawford collects his 3rd 6th Man of the Year award; everyone continues to be more productive when they leave the Knicks.

    2. everyone continues to be more productive when they leave the Knicks.

Not really, it just looks like it because the Knicks try to make role players into stars. They hype them, overpay them, build their egos and brands and then they’re like wtf, how come nobody told us reality is part of the equation?

    3. Jamal Crawford is not particularly good. Neither is Ray Felton. The best bench player on the Clippers is a former Knick, but his name is called Colajuwan

    4. Jamal Crawford is not particularly good

Wait, I saw him make a crazy, off-balance, well-defended 18 footer, that dude is REALLY good!

    5. Had some time at work so i have this player comparison coming out of college from prior drafts, these guys all have similar measurables, played the sf/pf hybrid and the stats are per 40. Can you name who they are?

    6. Felton is a decent player who is capable of good games when he’s in shape and motivated. I was happy to see him play so well yesterday. I enjoyed his time here with STAT and he was pretty good during the 54 win season. I still believe him breaking his hand midway through that season was the beginning of the unraveling of that season. Woodson over relied on Jason Kidd during the time Felton was injured (instead of playing Pablo more) and that gassed Kidd by the playoffs, which was to me the biggest factor in us not living up to the beginning season hype of that team. That and Chandler getting hurt.

His final year Felton was going through a really ugly divorce and had the gun issues. I think he just wasn’t completely there. But he wasn’t the only problem that year. If anything he played pretty well considering how awful things were for him off the court. Chandler gave up and JR Smith was a clown that year. People rag on Felton cause he’s short and chubby. But he is not a bad player when he’s in the right situation.

    7. Ray Felton is a reliable player, in that he can give you 2000 minutes of inefficient, below-average point guard play year after year after year.

    8. How does Crawford win Sixth Man this year?? He was terrible. Do the voters just pull out the scoring list and scroll down until they find a bench player?

    9. Do the voters just pull out the scoring list and scroll down until they find a bench player?

      JR Smith says yes

    10. Crawford reminds me of Dwill, a no D guy who’s able to provide an offensive bench jolt. I hope Dwill opts in but I’m wary of paying him 8m+ on a longer contract if he opts out. He’s been a raw net minus player every year in the league, by a fairly large margin. For 2015-16, he ranked 92nd out of 100 on RPM which represented an improvement from the prior year when he ranked 80th out of 82. If I knew he could improve either his defense or 3FG%, I would be receptive but he doesn’t appear to be that focused on improving. Still I suppose one could argue that you need to take some risks and the guy is only 24yo. I think his work ethic should influence the final decision and Phil’s probably got a decent read on that.

    11. Sixth man award is just incredibly dumb. “Best player not good enough to be actually good” is a really silly category to have an award in. Just get rid of that dumb thing.

    12. Looks like nobody cares but they were in order andrew wiggins, kawaii leonard and andre robertson.

    13. Wiggins wasn’t good in college. Kawhi was much better than Wiggins. Although anyone who could predict that Kawhi would do what he has done from his college numbers probably is working for the Spurs.

    14. Crazy to think the Rockets could be in the driver’s seat against maybe the best team of all time if they fucking tried on defense

    15. So the Timberwolves have interviewed JVG, Thibodeau, and will interview Mark Jackson tomorrow. Sounds like a reasonable way of going about things.

    16. Who cares about Mark Jackson? Phil wants Walton. If he doesn’t get him, yeah, it is probably Rambis. Maybe Blatt.

    17. Well, Jeff Van Gundy and Thibodeau are pretty much the top two candidates for me. And you could get worse than Mark Jackson (coughrambiscough).

    18. Sixth man award is just incredibly dumb. “Best player not good enough to be actually good” is a really silly category to have an award in. Just get rid of that dumb thing.

I don’t mind it that much, except that it is typically awarded moronically. Does anyone think Jamal Crawford was seriously the best reserve in the NBA this year? Anyone? And yet he won the award for scoring pointz.

    19. I think we would all love JVG or Thibs, but in reality, probably not going to happen. Probably syill too much water to go under the bridge for a JVG return, and I don’t think the control Thibs is after is going to be available.

    20. I agree 6th man of the year award is a silly award. But if they are going to give it, they should give it to Andre Igoudala.

    21. Blatt is a no brainer. He’ll have no issue playing the triangle, seems like an easy going guy to satisfy Jackson, and he’s a very good coach.

    22. My favorite idea would be nobody takes Thibodeau on with the full team control thing and he misses out on every coaching job this summer (the chances of this happening are 0% but stick with me for the best part) and that we hire him next summer and Ujiri together when we part ways with Phil. Ujiri/Phil become the next Buford/Pop and we win 50 games a season and 5 championships for the following two decades.

    23. But in all reality Blatt is the best hire. He learned in Cleveland not to come with his ego and I thought he did about as good a job as any coach could have done with Cleveland against Golden State in the NBA Finals. Winning two games without Love/Kyrie and sweeping the conference finals without Love was really good work.

Of course it all comes down to how good the talent on that team really is. Blatt will look bad if we don’t have talent and he’ll look good if we have good players. So in likelihood we’ll win 40-45 games next year no matter who the coach is.

    24. On the 6th man award, I would have had Will Barton ahead of Crawford. Iggy probably got a good claim to it as well.

    25. 21-3, Celtics better start throwing deep.

Don’t worry, Boy Brad has it all figured out.

    26. Boy Wonder Brad Stevens’ players are really letting him down. What that team needs is a True Superstar™

    27. Boy Wonder Brad Stevens’ players are really letting him down. What that team needs is a True Superstar™

Who do u have in mind ?

    28. Why are you guys so down on the Knicks? We are on our way. I hope that Phil keeps Rambis and adds Bazemore and Evan Turner, along with Willy G. We’d even have money left over for Noah. With continued improvement from KP and Grant we’ll win 40+ games and be heading in the right direction with youth, continuity and draft choices going forward.

    29. If you just turned this game on randomly you’d swear it was like a game 55 second of a b2b for both teams

    30. It is hard goddamn work making a team this well coached look like chumps. Stevens is playing the long con-hustling all of you.

    31. the greatest trick the cutest as a buttonest genius coach ever pulled was making dred believe he didn’t exist

    32. Blatt is a no brainer. He’ll have no issue playing the triangle, seems like an easy going guy to satisfy Jackson, and he’s a very good coach.

Sadly, Jackson seems to prefer coaches with no brains instead.

    33. If Matt Barnes doesn’t throw a punch at David West this is gonna be one lame night of playoff basketball

    34. Yeah, not the most entertaining first round so far. Even the incredible Dallas upset was more about Kevin Durant missing easy buckets.

    35. It appears Celtics twitter has turned on Brad Stevens.

And they’ll turn on Ainge when he gives up all those picks to get Kevin Love

    36. He’ll give us all those picks in an epic 4 team trade that sends Love to Boston, Melo and RoLo to Miami, Dragic and Bosh to Cleveland, and Irving, Crowder, and picks come home to the Mecca. Then we piss everybody off by signing Whiteside and one of Fournier/Bazemore and get a top four seed in the East.
