Turned on the game, Hawks go on a 10-0 run. Sorry.
Great game so far. If NAW misses literally two more shots we’ll win.
Edit: he’s missed one since!
Having tonight’s Mikal in the playoffs would be good……..
Is it me or did the Knicks not have possession on that final play and the Hawks got a shot clock reset for no reason

CGreene, you are correct. Hawks rebounded a missed shot , no Knicks possesion and they got > 14 seconds.
This game reeks of opposing team player non all star playing like an mvp candidate. Need to get in alexander walkers shorts. Also bounds and not turning the ball over would help.
Eastern conf round 1 is gonna be wild

Not Brunson’s or Hart’s finest game.
Also, I think we need to start Deuce in the playoffs.
KaT wants to stay in the starting lineup!

If Knicks could make open 3s they’d be winning this game fairly easily.
Looks like Brown is bringing Deuce in after 4-5 minutes in the 1st and 3rd. That’s something at least!

Atlanta is shooting 10-27 from three so far. We are 7-22.
How does that rebound fall right into Dyson’s lap?
Mitch
Knicks fans in the building activated
Mitch is a beast! Game changer
Correction: we have to start Mitch in the playoffs.
This has been a great game so far.
The sight of Mitch holding his wrist and limping made me nauseous.

I thought Bridges might’ve hurt his hand when NAW was fouled on his last drive that lead to his FTs.
Hawks have 19 offensive rebounds
There are plenty of more important, Knicks-centric takeaways, but watching Zaccharie Risacher made me realize the NBA would essentially be no different if the entire 2024 draft class didn’t exist.
I don’t like this lineup at all WTF is Mike Brown doing.
Clarkson really needs to sit , sorry
Mitch!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seems like the Hawks should have been told to foul Mitch rather than let him go up.
Great playoff preview here.
Are you not allowed to play Towns and Robinson at the same time?
Coaching malpractice from Brown taking Mitch out and leaving Hart in
Not one of Josh’s better games
Why is Hart on the court right now.
Lots of low-IQ play by the Knicks tonight.
This game is 100% on Mike Brown
Towns ball watching, hart stupidity, why close with the starting lineup!
What NAW is doing to the Knicks is embarrassing.
Brunson in the house
Brunson took it personal!!
The Captain.
He is Him.
A lot going on, but this is the first time in a while we’ve looked like a deep playoff team on both sides of the ball for at least some stretches!
Gotta give Hart credit he’s played great defense down the stretch.
Shockingly smart play!
It worked, but what is Brunson doing making that pass after The Cam Boozer Incident?
OG Mister Clutch
Oh wait Reggie said he’s the guy you wanna foul
That’s how you close out a game!
Hope I didn’t speak too soon.
LOL
Great win considering Walker was completely unconscious
I that would’ve counted, I would’ve banned myself for the 1st round
This was a vintage 1st rd Game 6 on the road close out victory. Also almost gave me a heart attack.
Thank god that was late
I was 0.1 second away from a psychotic break.
That is legitimately the first time in my life one of those freakishly close calls has gone our way.
Impressive win. Every time I count out the captain, he takes command and grabs us from the clutches of defeat.
Hawks are much better without Trae but who’s their go-to down the stretch? They seem confused and hesitant and that was the difference.
One of the best regulation games of the year in the association!
Mitch with 5 stocks (Towns with 3!)
According to the Knicks PR Twitter account Mike Brown tied Pat Riley for most wins in 1st season as Knicks head coach with 51. Here’s hoping Brown breaks the record…
The race for the 5-9 spots in the EC is insane.
At this point best case realistic scenario would be Knicks vs Raptors in the 3/6 matchup and Boston having to play winner of 76ers Hornets in the 7/8 play-in game.
Yeah. Even if we wanted to lose a game to get a more preferred first-round opponent, it looks like it would be difficult to do based on that logjam. We can almost assume that it’s going to come down to what happens on the last day of the regular season, when every team in the NBA plays, including the followng:
Orlando @ Boston
Washington @ Cleveland
Detroit @ Indiana
Atlanta @ Miami
Charlotte @ New York
Milwaukee @ Philadelphia
Brooklyn @ Toronto
Tonight was a perfect example of the difference between a team that has a closer and a team that doesn’t. No amount of analytics can help you.
In every playoff series, there will be 2-4 games that come down to executing in the last 5 minutes. There is no one employed in eastern conference with a demonstrated record of excellence in these situations better than Jalen Brunson.
This is why the expectation of finals or bust is perfectly reasonable goal setting by guitar Jimmy.
Director, I agree that Brunson is a great closer, and as good or better than anyone in the EC in that specific regard. But it’s not always the closer that wins those games, and not always those games that turn a series.
In general, it takes a lot more than having the best closer to win a 7-game series, especially when said closer is a detriment on the defensive end.
We won tonight because Atlanta just isn’t that good, even beyond the “no closer” issue. I don’t think Quin Snyder is a particularly good coach either. For example, a smaller team like theirs should definitely have gone to hack-a-Mitch, at least rather than letting him score in the paint.
