Sorry Geo, a belated Happy Birthday to you my friend!

I used to take a day off from work on my birthday, to just chill and live without the clock for a day, so I think you did the right thing… 😉

    Geo, also happy belated birthday!

trying not to read too much into you and Walker Kessler sharing the same birthday…

Giddey, Mills and Landale downed an underwhelming Spain.

Sergio Llull is probably the best player to never play in the NBA in the last 20 years (we have his NBA rights, but alas he’s going to be 37 soon)

Howdy Geo, happy belated birthday to the most interesting man on KnickerBlogger! Don’t know how I missed it.

    Hey Geo,
Hope you treat everyday as if it’s your birthday. I’m still looking forward to your east coast visit.

awwww, thanks again everyone, i appreciate it 🙂

was talking with ma yesterday about getting older…she said she didn’t really feel the aging stuff until her mid seventies…

i mentioned i’ve felt old since my early 50’s…just a lot of health challenges that wore me down over the years…

i’m always amazed and impressed with folks whom are able to keep pushing forward despite their health situation…

i won’t say the health stuff beat me down early, just wore me down some…okay – it beat me the heck down, but – the measure of a person is being able to get back up again, after getting knocked down, repeatedly…

those last two nervous breakdowns coming in back to back years – that was crazy…each time took me a few months to put myself back together…

yeah, it was very cool of the folks around me to understand and give me space yesterday, sometimes that’s a lot to ask from family, especially children…

ha, i still remember one time mom having a birthday party for me, and i didn’t show up…at the time it was just a little too much for me…

today planning a late lunch/early dinner with ma and the kids…

many years ago i made the unfortunate error of crying and complaining to ma about all the trials and tribulations of parenting, it left her with a somewhat dim view of the kids…

totally my mistake for venting to ma about the kids…it’s taken me years now to get her comfortable being around the children…ma can be anxious and prickly like me – times 10…

i hope you all are having a good day – on purpose!!!

Frank and Wemby in action now…and Frank with the clutch 3…(?)…

Katz: “If you’re a Knicks fan watching this France/Brazil game, here’s a tidbit to watch out for: French center Mathias Lessort is one of the 800 guys whose draft rights the Knicks own. Make sure to form all your opinions now.”

Frank getting crunch time minutes at PG, the legend of FIBA Frank is real

lol he just airballed a three from the wing

Uncle Julio’s tortilla is just something else. It’s like roti meets tortilla and just such a pleasure.

Best tortilla I’ve ever had was a breakfast burrito from a place on a street corner in San Diego. Freshly made and perfectly chewy, very roti-like also.

UJ’s is a chain out here in Dallas that makes em fresh too. I’d imagine you’ll never find another tortilla that ever comes close to that platonic street corner tortilla.

Damn….Senga out for the rest of the regular season. What a lost year for him.

Tyus Jones — the market’s top remaining free agent guard — has agreed on a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Bradbury of
    @LiftSportsMNGMT
    tells ESPN.

It’s a shame we couldn’t find a way to land him. I guess he’ll have a starting job on the Suns.

Tyus having to settle for the minimum is absolutely brutal. Rough market out there for guys who are clearly better than the typical “minimum player,” but not particularly close to being max-worthy.

From what I gather, the Lauri Markkanen situation is going to come to a head soon. So maybe if we are going to make a deal for a C, it will happen soon after that.

Tim McMahon on Lauri Markkanen: The Jazz I don’t believe are shopping him but if you give them an offer they can’t refuse they would take it. There’s been nothing close to an offer they can’t refuse. Now, then we’ve got this situation where like I said he is eligible to sign a contract extension that they can use that cap space on. He’s eligible to sign that August 6. If he signs it August 6, exactly six months from that date is the trade deadline. So he can be traded this year if he signs in August 6. If he signs it August 7th or any day after that he cannot be traded this year. (…) I will walk from Park City to Salt Lake City to cover a game next year if Lauri Markkanen signs the extension on August 6. If he signs that extension after August 6, he’s going to give himself what essentially is a one-year no-trade exception.

Marcassin is pretty delicious stuff. Doesn’t that mean that Markaten has em over a barrel? Or am I misunderstanding the leverage here. He can cause real problems for ainge if he doesn’t get what he wants.

Yes, but the problem is that Ainge just has to wait a year to trade him…and I guess that meanwhile he’s creating unwanted wins

Singe doesn’t want to lose an asset and he’s patient, so he’s likely just to extend him even if that makes him untraceable for a year.

I was scouring the bottom of the barrel of available C’s…the Yurtseven/Azubuike/Metu/Potter-level leftovers. Not a player there that looks any more appealing than Sims.

Leon really has his work cut out for him.

When people yell “let’s go” because they’re excited about something it generally confuses me.
