That really sucks for Oubre Jr. He was playing the best ball of his career. Daryl Morey must be pulling his hair out.

I’m hoping that the Knicks are as excited about getting back on the floor as we are to watch them. My prediction is that CHA is going to have its hands full.
In other words, if ever there was a trap game, this is it!
Yeah, this is such an obvious Knicks win that it really does make you worry about them being almost too confident.
IMO Charlotte would be a handful for us if they were at 100% strength. They are way better than their record from last year. But they are still missing a key player and also have key injuries.
On a personal note, my daughter’s college volleyball career finally came to an end last week. She finished on a high note, winning Player of the Week honors in her conference on the strength of a 20 Kill (vs. 1 error) 16 dig 2 ace performance, including a monster game-winning kill on her last play. Being her most diehard fan at every match has been a joy, and despite the grueling drives, it will be sorely missed.

I’m just starting the club volleyball circuit myself. I’m not looking forward to adding drives to East Bumble, PA, or wherever, to my usual every-other-weekend schedule at all.
Or the inevitable fights between my musical taste (excellent) and hers (awful).

One thing that made it so worthwhile for me was the bonding with parents of teammates. We would go to all the club sites, including the ones in PA (York, Lancaster, State College, and of course Philly) and party after the matches. Our club supervised the kids separately, so we were totally freed up to party! Some of my really good friends and golfing buddies are parents I met on the club circuit.
That continued into college…this year’s parent group was awesome. They would set up a couple of tailgating tents with flagpoles, speakers, grilles and we’d all bring food, beer, etc.
But a lot of that was due to how committed my kid was. My older daughter played high school and club, but at a lower level, and the experience was much more low key.
That sounds like a +7 or +8 BPM performance.
