wait…..we still have to play the rest of the games?
There are 29 games remaining in the season. Anyone care to guess how many wins are left in the tank? I’m going to say 3.
Marinara or Bolognese?
Let’s see, I’m 60 now…that’s at least 17 years from now….I wanna be around to see it…how about if he has 3 HOF seasons by age 28?
@2 Hmmm…3 vs. tanking teams, 3 trap games, and game 82 where Mudiay scores 40 including a buzzer beater to knock us out of the bottom 3 on our way to drafting Romeo Langford…7 wins to finish 17-65.
He could make an All-NBA team from PPG or team success, so let’s set a BPM standard and go from there.
Seven wins feels like a lot
Playing like this I’m shocked we got to ten.
Man, we suck.
We started 8-24 against the Pistons, I think 7 wins is a lot for this team.
I’ll guess 5, DJ is the only basketball player on the roster and he doesn’t give a shit, and the youngsters will have good games here and there to win some games.
DSJ with da POINTZ.
Man, we really suck.
Nice defense errbody
Knicks shooting a staggering 28% from the field.
WhY is Hezonja playing? Dude is horrific.
Knox corner three only missed the rim by six feet on that last possession.
Lance is out here trying posterize dudes. Except missing the rim all together.
Who is actually wasting their Friday night watching this game besides me?
DSJ has 7 FTA, Mitch is kinda doing Mitch things, and we’ve all but guaranteed the L already, so I can’t see why any Knick fan would be unhappy.
Ok MITCH IS DOING MITCH THINGS SORRY TO DOUBT YOU MY LOVE.
This is hard to watch. Except for Mitch. Guys is incredible at blocking shots.
Please get Hezonja off the floor. You have to actually try to suck that much.
I love Mitch. I am not going to watch much of this but I love Mitch. Two perimeter blocks on one possession. And then an alley oop. I kind of worry Trier is going to get him injured in some meaningless game.
Mitch has a DPOY in him
Hezonja doesn’t though
Mitch is incredible at all things. I would deem him as untouchable. You don’t trade talent like that on that contract.
Does the Chinese league hand out DPOY awards? Maybe he’s got a shot.
Trier really needs to shoot more threes! Could be the difference between being Jamal Crawford and being Lou Williams
Mitch is going to be special. His game is the only one which doesn’t make me want to puke right now.
Mario is very good for the tank
Can’t we just cut Hezonja already and sign literally any G-League player under the age of 23?
It’s impossible that there isn’t a single small forward in the G-League who’s less terrible than him.
The new Philly roster is looking really good, Embiid can’t hit anything and they’re up 16 over the Nuggets in the middle of the 2nd.
Sixers seem to be gelling….
Is the eastern conference better than the West? Feels like it’s been a long time since you could say that.
What’s weird about Hezonja this year is I didn’t think he was a terrible target. I wouldn’t have signed him to the contract we gave him because it was pointless, but I didn’t mind the idea of going after him in general. He was pretty competent his last season in Orlando, who aren’t exactly known for making guys look better than they are (they’re known for the opposite, if anything).
And yet, every time I watch him he looks like a guy who had to take a crash course on basketball to play a basketball player in a low budget movie.
@25 literally anyone else would suffice
Isn’t the best team in the league in the West?
Id take the top 4 teams in the east over the top 4 in the west, but then it falls off so hard in the east that it gets sad. At least things are looking much closer this season.
In 10 minutes MitchRob gave us 8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 assist.
Damn, that guy sucks.
Smith can really dunk.
Mitch is probably the only reason why anyone can tolerate to watch these games
I dunno y’all I’m holding out hope for DSJ
I looked at my phone as I was getting home and got a notification that the game was 22-5 and decided I wouldn’t waste my time, but maybe I’ll watch some of the second half.
Did Vonleh get hurt or did we just play him 3 minutes to keep him fresh for next sesason?
@35
The more he scores the better a trade asset he appears.
Well Denver just tied the game, so I guess hold out horses on the Philly team.
I’m trying to watch a bit of Nets and Bulls but damn, the Bulls are winning and are still unwatchable.
Perry is a what me worry lookin mfer
It’s a small sample, but Mitch has been doing a lot better with his fouling over the last 6 or 7 games
Blake was blocking DSJ and flopped to the floor.
Can someone get this hopeless ballhog off my screen? We-want-Frank!
Funny how no one is saying what a great game DSJ is having…
DSJ is playing very very well. Bench him so we secure the loss!
@43
Oops, sorry for messing up the narrative.
New career high, 28 points for him.
Why the beef with Griffin?
It’s clear that all DSJ needed was the green light to shoot as much as possible….
Mitch has improved. And doesn’t seem to be sacrificing toomuch in the defensive end. Need a bigger sample though.
DeAndre seems a little more motivated tonight. We might need him to get a groin strain.
Watching Lance play, I’m reminded strongly of Old Yeller.
Look, 30 points with an 80% TS and 5 assists is nice and all, but I haven’t seen DSJ make ONE pass into the pinch post. Not an encouraging sign.
DSJ’s play gives me hope that we have an NBA level talent pg on our roster…Finally.
Bullshit charge.
Lance truly serves no purpose other than to facilitate the tank.
Where is Mitch???
DSJ with 4 TOs. Way too high.
Lance and Mario, we need you now to do what you were born to do. Go out and lose this game!!!
When Rondo was in Dallas people thought he was completely washed but it turns out Rick Carlisle is a micromanaging asshole. Just something to think about.
Why the hell do we stagger Mitch and DSJ? I want our two total reasons to watch the games on the floor at the same time.
True, every time Frank scores 30 points on 13 shots he’s able to keep the TOs down.
Knox has really disappointed me. Not enough fire from that kid. I hope he comes back with more “tude” and aggressiveness next year.
Aww, there he is. Mitch is really going to be something special. When that kid gets stronger, watch out!
If DSJ is good that changes a lot. I feel like he will be feast or famine and frustrating.
Luke Kennard you can’t guard Mitch.
It seems Detroit will secure the win, that’s the most important thing.
Nice pass by Mitch and nice finish, I can see those two helping each other a lot.
Hezonja is back so the L should be guaranteed
Alright, Mario back in. That’s some Fizdale magic right there.
DSJ is also missing too many FTs. Sad.
Clyde’s outfit is epic tonight….Sheesh.
That lob has been there for DSJ and Mitch/DJ all night long.
Fun (maybe not so fun) stat of the night: DSJ has 17 free throws attempted tonight in 30 minutes. Edit: 19 now.
Frank Ntilikina has 28 FTA in 872 minutes this season.
Another thing Frank does better every time he gets to the line nine times!
I watched 3 minutes of this game and they were bad.
Now 11/19 at the charity stripe. He’ll always have slanging that wood to fall back on though.
I guess DSJ heard the criticisms about not getting to the line enough. Too bad he’s not making them, as otherwise he’s looked like a stud today.
True, especially when Pachulia is in the game. I thought he used to be a good defender. He hasn’t defended the lob in two consecutive games.
@67
Dude, if your hatred for a 21 year old player is at this level, you really should do yourself a favor and take a step back and think about it.
Your posts used to be worth reading, now it’s just been project knicks level troll stuff.
face, don’t even bother. It’s one thing to be a troll and another to be a complete moron.
His free throw shooting tonight is such a nothing-burger for us to bitch about. If he was 1/2 instead of 11/19 we’d be complaining he doesn’t get to the line. I’d rather note that, despite missing eight free throws, he’s scored 31 points on 14 shots.
@70
I guess we can’t criticize anyone’s game anymore without being accused of hatred and trolling. SMH.
@73 you just have a huge insecurity thing going on where you can’t laugh at yourself even when you are wronger than a mf. You double down on everything and after a while you just look stupid and lose all credibility. How about, for one fucking time, saying “hah, I was sure wrong as f on that!”?
Yup, I’m disengaging.
Off to watching Timmy suck for another team I generally like to watch.
Why is Robinson only playing 15 minutes? He wasn’t in foul trouble. Jordan is clearly not trying whatsoever and plays 30 minutes while Mitch (his mentee) is sitting on the bench. It’s not like he isn’t playing well when he is in, either. He played a great game today.
DSJ and Mitch were the only Knick players worth watching tonight.
Lets go tank!
That Philly-Denver game was a good advertisement for the NBA.
Nicola Jokic had an amazing left handed hook shot.
Embiid had a HUGE block.
And from the Sixers starting lineup, the most points scored were predictably by JJ Redick!
I’m starting to believe this lineup will work really well, it has very interesting offensive synergy and Butler + Embiid + Simmons is as good of a defensive trio as you’ll find in the NBA.
You’re generally pretty negative in the game threads. I know it’s the Knicks, but sometimes I read your comments and think we’re getting killed and put the game on and the knicks are winning.
No idea. He killed it in the first half and then didn’t get in the game until the 4th quarter.
By the way the Suns are up 31-15 against the Warriors in the first.
Come to us KD, you can’t win with those cats.
Just have to mention another reason why clyde is my idol. When Breen related how clyde scored the first basket for the NYKs at the new Garden back in 1968, Clyde remembered ” yeah, it was off of a steal.”
@74
This sounds like projection. I was pretty negative against the whole team, with the exception of Mitch Rob. I don’t know when DSJ became a sacred cow here, I missed that memo. But its clear that this has become personal for you. Me, I’ve checked out on this season awhile ago. There’s little to get this up in arms about.
that’s your stock response. but just like previously @ p&t, posters here are coming around and seeing you for the fragile imbecile that you are.
LOL
I take it back, imbecile is the wrong word. You are obviously intelligent and well read.
@87
LOL your posts are this erratic combination of personal insult and praise. Either way, unlike you, I don’t pretend to know what the rest of the posters here think and its irrelevant anyways. I made critical comments all night long and you couldn’t handle it because I made them against someone you’ve staked your flag upon. But that’s your problem, not mine. Try not to project your issues onto me.
For that matter why was Kornet glued to the bench? Hell, you could give him time at the 4, see how that goes while you’re at it. Rotations were kinda strange this game.
I suppose we could be trying to lose by not playing one of our best players and giving Mitch only 15 minutes but I’m not sure this team is that smart.
Not praise, that’s your self-serving interpretation. I corrected an overstatement. You’re not an imbecile. Just a self-involved troll who will never admit to being wrong despite mountains of evidence and who revels in being a contrarian without any real principles. But if your defense mechanisms work for you, whatever. Just know that most folks here are smart enough to see right through them.
Maybe, but the harm in a stray win here and there is just so marginal at this point, and the actual threat of Kornet and Mitch winning games for us so low..
I think at this point Fizdale is just concerned that Mitch might get injured or something, he still seems very out of control at times and he’s not strong enough to hang with Drummond for an entire game yet.
I’m fine with it, the talent and the production are obvious and he still has so much to learn. If he simply gains more strength and balance and learns to not bite on every pump fake, he’s already going to have a long and very productive career. If his hands get better and he becomes a more versatile finisher at the rim, he’s a superstar.
I know we all just want to watch him play, but it’s fine, let him go at a slower pace and keep learning. I’m so excited for this kid.
Yeah, agreed, there is no way they’re actively trying to lose (in the games, that is). I look forward to the replay to see some Mitch goodness and some fun DSJ scoring!
