    (Saturday, October 22, 2016 1:26:02 PM)

    The Knicks’ defense wasn’t impressive in the preseason, which is why coach Jeff Hornacek refused to cut defensive forward Maurice Ndour and rolled the dice in waiving injured point guard Chasson Randle, with hopes he doesn’t re-sign elsewhere. The wiry 6-foot-9 Ndour was the Knicks’ 2015 summer-league standout who played briefly in Spain last season…

    Jets already down 10-0. Nothing from Geno so far…

    Well, Rose continues to be very confident. Let’s see him back it up.

    Regardless of who is at QB, the Jets will be at 5-5 by the time we play the Patriots. All of Baltimore, Cleveland, Los Angeles, and Miami are somehow worse than the Jets who truly weren’t as bad as that brutal 6 game opening schedule. I won’t be surprised if the Jets go anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7. I’d actually bet on it.

    @3
    Could be. Baltimore is ravaged by injuries, and Flacco was brutal in the 2nd half today, throwing 2 very bad picks. Hey, nice that it happened to the other guys this time!

    And we’ll win again next week against the Browns. When Geno Smith is the starter at Miami he’s going to light it up. The Rams don’t have a QB so that’s another win. We will be at 5-5 when we play the Patriots on Thanksgiving.

    If Kay Felder is out, who will be the main playmaker while Kyrie is out of the game? Also, what’s up with the Knicks’ weird first week schedule?

    Is that a trick question? I imagine that the main playmaker when Irving is on the bench will be the same guy who is the main playmaker when he is in the game — LeBron James.

    How amazing is it that Yi is going to get waived the same offseason he signed a $8 million free agent deal? what a shit show.

    The $8million is an unusual $8million. All of it counts against the cap, but almost all of it isn’t guaranteed. The rest is related to performance bonuses. My guess is his performance in training camp made it clear that those wouldn’t be happening, and that he obviously wouldn’t be getting many minutes during the season also, so he asked out. Apparently, at the momet, some team could trade an $8million dollar player for him, wait a little while until a certain date and then waive him and that $8million would evaporate from their salary cap.

    This seems to show that the players around you can matter to your performance. He looked good in the olympics, but the other big men on the Chinese team were so bad, that may be why he looked good and got a lot of points.
