    you killed knickerblogger again

That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die…

I was reading Laker fan comments about Jemison III. They didn’t dislike him and wish him luck. But they didn’t think he was a great center. He played hard and set great picks but isn’t very skilled in their opinion. I looked up his stats and compared them to Jericho Sims. Sims is better. He gets more rebounds and shoots better. So I am not expecting great things from Jemison; but to get a player who has serviceable NBA experience on a two way contract is probably a reasonable deal.

I’d probably rather have Pate on the two-way, just so we control his rights in the unlikely event he turns into something. But at the end of the day, that doesn’t matter much.

Am I understanding correctly that if we salary dump Kolek instead of Dadiet, we could sign two vets but not a rookie minimum guy? If that happens, I imagine they’ll dump one of the two-ways and give that slot to Diawara.

Going into the season, I think Hukporti has the biggest opportunity here of the non-rotation players. But as much as I think Brogdon is potentially a great pick up for us, I also think Kolek still has a chance here.

But Huk…we’re going to need one more big, regardless of whether Mitch starts or not. KAT at the 5 is a great look on offense and Mitch is a great back up, but there are going to be minutes needed at the C spot. If Huk can fill that role, it’s potentially huge.

The more I think about it, the less I like signing 2 vets. Yes, it improves our chances in “the year” but very very marginally unless injuries hit pretty hard in which case our chances have gone down considerably anyway. To dump Kolek I assume needs a sweetener like a 2nd. I don’t rate Kolek anymore but the 2nd is not worth it. And giving away Dadiet’s upside, even if we got a 2nd in return is also not worth it. Just pick the best vet and don’t get greedy in wanting the second best also.
