Valiant effort but expending the energy with a game tmw probably not the wise move.
It was a heroic effort in that fourth quarter which was very nice to see, but it was too little, too late. Where was that aggression before? Inexplicable! It was not just that our shots were not falling tonight. When you don’t have it offensively you lean on your defense, but we couldn’t do that consistently either. For most of the game, the Hawks were getting anything they wanted both inside and outside.
Throw this one in the trash and get ready for tomorrow. Let’s hope this is not an extended slump.

If the Hawks could trade Trae for a plus two way player they’d have a very bright future. They are probably better without Trae, but not quite good enough. They need another scorer, but one that defends and adds value.

good news is – tomorrow’s game is only hours away…

So you know, drink bleach.
Was luckily spending QT with one of my kids rather than watching this… Bridges scoring 18 points on 19 shots and a +3 doesn’t seem that bad. I genuinely like Precious (especially 2024 Precious) better than Yabu. And while Clarkson is probably better than Payne, I’d rather have 15 mpg of Payne than 20 mpg of Clarkson.
This was a bad loss, but with KAT and Mitch out, it wasn’t THAT bad of a loss.
Coming up: 76ers, then @Pistons, then Clippers, then heading west @Suns, @Blazers, etc. In the next few weeks we will be seriously tested and get a much clearer idea what kind of a team we are this season. Either we get it done or things may get ugly.
