2025-26 Game Thread: Knicks @ Kings

The Knicks are in Sacramento to win one for their coach, who was pretty unfairly fired by the Kings, and now his Knicks will kick his old dumb team’s ass for revenge.

Let’s go, Knicks!

Feeling relatively great about 58!

Precious start in the house!

I always liked that guy. Limited, but tried hard, and had some skills. Especially those bizarre bionic extendo-arms.

I’m convinced we can take any 5 random posters on Knickerblogger and put up at least 120 pts on the Knicks.

Rangers fan for almost 50 years. I don’t think I have ever been more embarrassed for my team.

Knicks had 2 days off yet they look like they’re playing the 3rd night of a back to back to back as if it were the 1999 season.

Speaking of good cats, the World Cat Federation winner for “Best Cat 2025” is Darlen Fleur Dalmore Black, a Russian Abyssinian.

Easy fellas, it’s the first quarter. We’ll be ahead by halftime.

Edit: assuming Brunson comes back

I doubt they’ll be ahead by halftime.

But they will have a chance to get it together at halftime and assert themselves in the second half.

If Knicks lose today and tomorrow they’ll have 25 wins at the halfway mark and be on pace to win less games than last season.

tuning in late, just watched a replay of jalen’s non contact type injury…that stinks…it may be a week or two before we see him again…

time to create tyler…

that was amazing. kat was so slow to get back he didn’t even reach the half court back tap in time.

Towns is borderline unplayable and completely unwatchable right now, somehow despite the fact that he has 13 points on 11 shots

KAT and Bridges for Giannis who says no?

The Bucks emphatically after watching this game film

KAT not even trying to get the ball, after not sprinting back is the definition of his season, lazy, sloppy, and really hard to watch. He should not be an all star this year

That utter lack of effort from KAT was it for me. I don’t want to give him away for nothing, but something’s got to change. Someone had to be able to get through to him.

Meanwhile Kolek showing that an actual PG makes a difference. Deuce is not it.

KAT is disgusting to watch at times but at least he eventually scores. Bridges and OG can barely function on offense.

We’ve seen this movie time and time again this season. We get on the floor unprepared for the opponent, our defensive schemes, if any, get easily shredded, we fall behind, and if your offense is not on fire we become pray.

Sacramento is bad enough, we played a better on D in the second quarter, and we still have a chance. But it is not sustainable to start almost every game like this. I put this on the coaching staff.

i prey not to become pray (or be killed by someone named precious) but clearly the knicks have fallen pray to the kings tonite

That was very smart, professor.

A truly pathetic performance. For all the talk of KAT, Bridges, and OG wanting more touches, they get a chance with Brunson injury and they all suck ass. They are truly soft

I mean sometimes the 3’s aren’t gonna fall, but we suck in the midrange and at the rim as well. But at least we’re 67% from the line…and Mitch hasn’t even shot one!

Precious 17 points on 7 shots, 9 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks thus far.

Well shooting 3-25 (12%) from three ain’t helping.

But they’re also sucking on pretty close to every facet of the game.

Deuce 0-9 so far.

Also, 0-2 for 0 and 1 rebound

vs

6-7 for 15 with 9 rebounds

Our power forward decision wasn’t so great.

Well, we’ll always have 2024-5. Helluva run, that Celtic series is unforgettable. Too bad Hali ruined the ending, but it was a great season.

After this 45-win season, we will have to figure out who to trade/who actually still has value. If we can get a few decent first-rounders, maybe we can start the rebuild early before Brunson fully falls off a cliff.

You know what fucking irritates me? Brown needs to fucking complain about the refs. For weeks now Knicks have been getting bad calls, and while the defense has been the major part of their recent slide, they are not getting a fair whistle in many games. At a certain point, stand by for your players.

I’m gonna stay with it, so if we make an improbable comeback I can say I saw the best win of the season

Pretty hard to blame Brunson for the poor team defense against these smelts tonight.

Actually it was worth staying to hear the announcer mention Kevin Garnett’s illegal screen in the 2011 playoffs

I couldn’t watch due to work commitments, but reading this thread and looking at the box score I have to say that Perry’s end of bench off season acquisitions (Precious and Russell Westbrook) look a lot better than ours (Yabu and Clarkson); and this is coming from someone who actually thinks Clarkson is earning his salary.

I guess the only good news is that according to the NY Post, Cap was seen leaving the arena without a walking boot. If he misses several or more games, gives Leon the chance to evaluate the efficacy of Kolek and Deuce as back-ups prior to deadline
