2025 Playoffs Thread: Knicks @ Pistons, Game 6 – The Day Detroit Fell

The Knicks head to Detroit to hopefully avoid having to go back to MSG for a Game 7 on Saturday.

The Pistons have lost both games in Detroit in this series, so that hopefully bodes well for the Knicks.

All of the Knicks injured players are going to play, which is good news.

Isaiah Stewart is not playing in Game 6, which is also good news.

Now take all of this good news, and just win the fucking game, dudes.

Only 13 more wins to go!

Let’s go, Knicks!

The Dylan tune is “Early Roman Kings” from Dylan’s 2012 album, Tempest (that that album is now 13 years old is freaky as fuck to hear, by the way).

A passing thought: we should play Mitch and KAT together more, but the fact that the numbers on it are pretty good is actually an indictment of our offense more generally.

We failed to implement anything actually creative with our skilled offensive players, so we’re back to just trying to win the possession game.

So just take 3s and try to get offensive rebounds from those guys on the misses, I guess. Not like that’s crowding out any more creative options.

Well it’s the Pistons, so i hope our team comes out of the gate… firing on all cylinders! 😀

Gooooo Knicks! 🧡💙

On the bright side when we met a few months ago my girlfriend couldn’t name an NBA player and is now ready to defend Dennis Schroeder herself

Ok I’m gonna go out on a little limb here and say Bridges will come up big tonight.

Please Mikal?

LET”S GO KNICKS! 🏀🧡💙🧡🏀

Ouch, it’s TNT tonight… ☹️
How can you put Grant Hill on a national TV Pistons’ game?
Where’s objectivity?

bridges with a steady diet of weak ass shit…guy has zero fire in him…

Ouch, it’s TNT tonight… ☹️

I have Mike & Clyde, Max, you don’t?

Here comes Schroder, we should put Delon in to contain him, every time he is on the court.

They need to stop giving me blowout hope we all know this is coming down to the last damn second

We’ve seen them collapse before, so I’m remaining stoic

I have Mike & Clyde, Max, you don’t?

Cyber, tonight’s game is on satellite TV here and, if possible, I always take that instead of NBA League Pass streaming (who always lags 45 to 60 seconds).
The counter is that I can’t choose broadcast. 🤓

This is fun.

I like the idea of doing this now, and then just pulling away as the game goes on. 😉

The Knicks are so much more talented than the Pistons. They should win this going away. But am I pleased as fuck to see them actually show up tonight? Yes, yes I am. Very much so. Even if they “should” beat the Pistons, them actually playing so well is so fucking cool.

what is this iso og bullshit we just ran 3 times in 5 possessions

what is this iso og bullshit we just ran 3 times in 5 possessions

That did not make me as happy as earlier in the game.

Good quarter, the Captain is dominating, Bridges had impact, we did play calm and collected most of the time, mixing isos with good ball & players movement.
Solid defense too.

went from maybe jalen’s worst game to a nearly perfect quarter from him

So do we blow this lead in the 2nd quarter or 3rd quarter?

Sorry I’ve got PTSD

NBA League Pass streaming (who always lags 45 to 60 seconds)

I’m 45 secs late, you sure? Well if at the end of the game i feel a little earthquake 45 secs before, i’ll know that it is you guys celebrating. 😀

The faster pace is helping the offense. It took long enough to make that obvious adjustment. Let’s hope they don’t run out of steam. The rest of the offense is better but still not where it should be. The Pistons defense broke down a few times.

I love that they gave them a taste of letting up, and then whammo, “No sir!”

Every time Knicks take a stupid shot it leads to an easy Pistons basket.

Did Mitch practice catching the ball with Noel while he was rehabbing?

And this is why the Brunson to Mitch PnR never goes to Mitch

He could never catch a pass

I know all coaches whine but I’ve never seen a coach do it for all 48 minutes like Bickerstaff

Josh should have at least 4 FTs on the action, Reed fouled it three times in a single move

when we met a few months ago my girlfriend couldn’t name an NBA player and is now ready to defend Dennis Schroeder herself

Is she an arson attorney?

OG should not be shooting off the dribble. His handle is so ridiculously bad that just trying to get a comfortable shot off the dribble throws him off.

They should win this going away. But am I pleased as fuck to see them actually show up tonight? Yes, yes I am.

I tepidly turned this game, dissuaded by what I’d read in the game thread. Was not expecting a tie game. (Pleasantly surprised emoji)

I don’t think KAT has touched the ball even once on offense in the past few mins.

Yes, the new NBA, the three point shot, no lead is secure, but this team is genetically unable to keep a lead and held an opponent down.

Ignoring KAT in the 1/2 court offense continues and is maddening

KAT 3-6 with one three taken (and missed).

Like Bo said…

…and BBA…

I’m not sure I have enough liquor in the house to get me through the second half. I may have to turn on Wildfire on Netflix to get me in the mood for the Kentucky Derby tomorrow.

The only positive is mercifully we probably won’t have to watch this team anymore after Saturday…

kat is the single slowest roller in nba history. i’m including greg butler.

Better at the end of the half than at the end of the game I guess, but, yeesh

Beasley been talking shit all series long, he has bigger balls than the entire Knicks team combined.

This team is infuriating.

They are unwatchable. It’s literally impossible to enjoy a Knicks game.

The idea that we let them roll the ball up the court so they have 20 seconds to execute offense while they send multiple back court defenders is literally the story line

Cmon finish the half strong!

From your mouth to god’s rectum.

You guys were a lot more funny when we were a bad team, now everybody is serious and if the team isn’t playing perfect basketball, they’re the worst that we ever had. It’s tiresome.

This shit’s going on all season long.
They show you what they can do, then they start playing like dumb donkeys.
It’s unbelievable.

They just played a whole quarter without running an offense and the joke is on us?

I feel like a guy with a serious addiction that is aware enough to know he has a problem and is harming himself, but he just can’t stop. You have to have some kind of problem to watch this team.

Malik Beasley is 6-11 so far, and interestingly he’s 6-11 from three. This suggests that playing Malik Beasley above the three-point line might be a sensible approach to defending the guy.

I don’t know, maybe it’s just me.

They just played a whole quarter without running an offense and the joke is on us?

They just played a whole season like that.

The contrast between the first and second quarters tonight is indicative of this year’s Knicks. I cannot remember a more inconsistent Knicks team in decades and have not been able to understand why this keeps happening.

It not just us foolishly allowing Beasly to go crazy. It is also us getting nothing on offense. Mind boggling.

ShwinnyPooh, Hukporti island resident
@shwinnypooh

The volume of mental breakdowns this team has over the course of a game is just inexcusable and been festering all season.

Not getting matched up in transition, stupid fouls, dumb turnovers, etc.

Can’t ever put teams away because these are the only things they do consistently.

This is instilled in the team culture with the coach. Every game is harder than it needs to be. He has to go

NBA is a game of runs, just have to hope they have a good run in the second half.

the Knicks are like – 34 in the 3rd qtr in this series.

Ok well the 2nd half is about to start, just find a way to win the damn game so we can relax this weekend.

Well they did used to just be consistently bad. So there’s that.

But yeah, consistently something would be nice.

To play with Strat’s thought, it’s like THEY have a serious addiction to getting away from what works. They just can’t help themselves…

Some fluctuation will happen when shots don’t fall, but this is not it. The process changes completely from one quarter to the next. It’s like they have collective amnesia.

I’d like to see someone other than deuce at this point. Absolute 0 for us right now.

Don’t know why Bridges is catching so much shit tonight, he’s having a pretty decent game

I know it’s a low bar but to be fair Grant Hill is much better than Richard Jefferson or Reggie Miller…

The good thing is that the Pistons are often just as reckless as the Knicks.

It is a good thing Thibs has 6 time outs left because he’s going to ride these starters like they are Secretariat in the Belmont.

we’ve tried putting kat back into drop today but he just drops way too passively and cade sees it

We’re doing a pretty decent job on Cade we just can’t stop fucking Beasley

KAT with 11 rebounds and 9 points, ALMOST guaranteed to get a double-double…

I kid you not I’m pretty sure only time KAT touched the ball this quarter on offense was on his offensive reb put back.

OMG they are actually fouling Michell every time down the floor!

NBA should have legislated this garbage out of the game 20 years ago

Mikal, if you can throw that down, you need to go to the basket more!!!

not sure why they kept paul reed in for the hack mitch possessions

I just laughed out loud for like 20 seconds on the Josh Hart brain fart.

I love that they’re getting in the Pistons’ heads right now. They’re languishing as heck!

KAT still without that double-double…

Just one point, KAT…

Alright, back from a dinner.

Bridges is doing stuff!

Love how responsive he is to KB criticism

a rare good 3rd, with stretches of tight defense, we’re clearly the better team, now keep it going guys…

Here comes the beginning of the 4th where we’ll play like shit and let them get close.

Great fucking quarter, now let’s finish this drama free if possible.

What an amazingly terrible end of the quarter attempt by Detroit! Hopefully it fucks them like it did in Game 4!

I’ll only be happy with a blowout from this position.

Kick em while they’re down!

Ok a regular win would still make me happy. I’m not THAT miserable!

the problem with kat not getting shots today is mostly kat. you can’t get him a shot unless you iso him 25 feet out. he’s not fighting for post position, he’s about 1-11 on screens attempted and he’s moving off ball like it’s preseason.

Yup pt, he’s playing passive and his touch in the last two games has been off. He has to wake up and quick

How did we look that quarter?

I had a couple of shots of tequila and switched to “El Eternauta” on Netflix.

The Knicks got SO lucky that Duren didn’t get that to go.

Fuck yeah, OG!

Think about it, they might INCREASE their lead with Brunson on the bench!

What in the fucking world did Thompson and Schroeder do there?!

“Now if only Deuce and Mitch can stop playing for the Pistons…”

lol but not funny

Remember when I said this is a game of runs?

Uhm…you know, not like this, dudes.

Well it’s right where we expected it to be. Problem is, they look fresh and we look gassed.

Unbelievable how we cannot put them away. Refball aside, Thibs can’t coach this roster.

I remember what PT said about Duren but he looks good to me

isn’t it your turn at charades or something

It’s like this team has one collective brain fart.

So hard to watch.

There is no reason for KAT to still be sitting, right?

It’s comical how predictable this is. Right, it’s funny? Right?

Coaches fired, players traded for bags of used basketballs, FO people crucified in the coffee room, unleash your wrath Dolan, I hate them all.

Looks like we are going to have to pass a kidney stone for this one.

Looks like we are going to have to pass a kidney stone for this one.

Ugh, totally, but hey, at least this, too, might pass!

Good challenge, way to kill the home team’s momentum and take the crowd out of it

Knicks look like it’s their 1st playoff game in 20 years. No composure

Coaches fired, players traded for bags of used basketballs, FO people crucified in the coffee room, unleash your wrath Dolan, I hate them all.

This is how you end up with Bradley Beal

I think it’s a foul. Let’s have Secaucus think about it for a few minutes longer

Can we hurry up this fucking review so this game could end already.

This is how you end up with Bradley Beal

“Knicks, stats, humor, analysis”

This Knicks team should get booed out of the fucking building on Saturday.

Let me know when the Clippers and Nuggets are on. “El Eternauta” is not so good so far.

25-9 in the fourth quarter, in the high leverage possessions.

Weak.

I don’t think I’ve ever hated a team more in my life than how much I hate this Knicks team at the moment.

Let’s try to close out this collapse without anyone getting hurt ok?

Just what we needed, another fucking review to make this game last longer.

BBA, it’s like a conspiracy to make us miserable. Team is gutless.

You know Brunson is going to take the shot no matter what, why wouldn’t you double him?

Thank goodness the Knicks weren’t the ones who tried that INSANE pass.

Hahaha, you fucking MORONS! I love it! They tripped their own guy to make him lose the ball out of bounds!

The Pistons don’t even seem like they’ve PRACTICED half court offense.

Thompson is something on defense

We are helping him out a bit though

How did Ausur know that Brunson was going to shoot there? Wow!

Thibs should not be allowed on the bus after this game. The 4th quarter offense is actually a fireable offense. We are so much less than the sum of our parts.

I almost wish this was game 7 so we wouldn’t have to watch any more of this shit

I like KAT a lot but this was a terrible game from him. Disappointing.

Still could pull this off, somehow…

I’m sure Thibs will draw up a great play out of this timeout…

This is honestly just as big of a choke by Detroit.

I can’t believe those idiots didn’t go two for one! Bickerstaff is SUCH a bad playoff coach.

Can you even IMAGINE not going two for one there? In a fucking elimination game?!

bridges has been fantastic at the rim tonight. is he 8-8 in the ra?

It’s, like, everyone in the world knew what he was going to do there, how in the world did he let Jalen get an open three there? I love it!

New York Knicks Basketball. Heart attack city. I love it.

Onwards to get slain by the Celtics.

Hahaha, enjoy your vacation, you fucking idiots!

Like I said, Detroit choked that shit just as much as the Knicks won it. Terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible play once they were up five. It’s like Bickerstaff didn’t even TRY to teach them how to close out a game.

OMG, I’m laughing my ass off.

Yes, Cade is the best PG in this series, riiiight..

Fuck yeah. I’m going streaking. Nola better be ready for this yeti.

Also… that was not fun to watch. Just like the Knicks are a centimeter left of themselves dimensionally.

I really almost had a coronary

Great win.

Give Bridges his due. Brunson will get it.

We won,bring on the Celtics
Thibs should still be fired

The Pistons just handed us that game. Kudos to Mikal and Brunson for making the big shots there at the end. Detroit just not ready for prime time yet

Beasley was wide open if he didn’t fumble that…

The Pistons just handed us that game. Kudos to Mikal and Brunson for making the big shots there at the end. Detroit just not ready for prime time yet

You know who would be a good pickup for them? Chris Paul.

brian is like the john halliburton of kb

The Pistons won’t let me in the building anymore.

I love it that the Pistons have ALL SUMMER to think about their complete inability to win at home. On to Boston.

Beasley was wide open if he didn’t fumble that…

Yeah, that was craaaaaaazy.

Guys – that one was on me. I was watching on TNT for most of the game. I switched to MSG when they were down 7 in the 4th and they turned it around.

I’ll be more careful in the future.

god I wish we could win a game easily Breen getting the timeouts wrong in the last minute seriously almost killed me

Watching the replay, the Pistons had to work HARD to lose that game late.

dee-troit basketball…much respect, hope we don’t see them in the first round again next year…

cade is pretty much an unstoppable offensive force…

whew, what a trip…we have him on our team…

edit: full disclosure, i found it less stressful to watch lawrence o’donnell from like late 3rd until about the end…I’ll rewatch that part later…

much more enjoyable watching the nuggets and clippers go at it…

thank you knicks…

god I wish we could win a game easily Breen getting the timeouts wrong in the last minute seriously almost killed me

+1

I was freaking out when Hart called that last one

I take back every bad word I said about the Knicks earlier tonight.

Like I said, Detroit choked that shit just as much as the Knicks won

tbf that fourth quarter was something of a choke off, they never should have gone on that 20-2 run or whatever it was

Thank God that series is over. I don’t ever want to play that team again.

Mikal with the ultra-important tying tip-in
Captain Clutch with another winning shot.
The Pistons with a remarkable choke job.

We are where we want to be, in the second round, reasonably healthy, against a dinged Celtics team, with a chance to change the narrative of this uninspiring season.

Let’s go boys!

Now that it’s over, I never want to think about this series again. From a Knicks fan’s perspective, it was an utter slog. A Boston sweep might feel better than whatever this is.

Happy for the win, but one of the least enjoyable (winning) series ever.

tbf that fourth quarter was something of a choke off, they never should have gone on that 20-2 run or whatever it was

Yeah, fair point. But to be up, what, seven with 2:35 to go…wow, they choked HARD.

Had the same thought about the timeout. Thought it was going to be a Webber situation in the moment.

Also agreed on Pistons, played so hard, just fearsome.

Cade did not impress.

BigBlueALsays:

Brunson should give back his clutch trophy.

Aged like fine milk

Also I hate (love) this team.

Normally not one of those guys that reposts his own posts but….

“ Ok I’m gonna go out on a little limb here and say Bridges will come up big tonight.

Please Mikal?”

Thank God that series is over. I don’t ever want to play that team again.

Yep. I hated most of it, until the wins were secured. I remember feeling similarly in last year’s Philly series.

I think in the Boston series only one of the subs should be on the floor at a time.

As I said before, you can’t win if you’re not at the table, and the Knicks have a seat at the table for the second round. They have a real chance at winning this series. Not a good chance, but a real chance! And then suddenly all of our takes on this team will be very different!

It could be worse, it could be raining.

Or Bickerstaff could be your head coach.

That Brunson move along the baseline where he almost fell down was one of the most insane shots I’ve ever seen

Thibs still has to go.

And at a minimum we still need a bench upgrade. Not one player on the bench was reliable.

When KAT fouled out, I knew we had a good chance to win it. KAT is a spectacular shooter and a great teammate, but the truth is that he is a misfit for this team. Moreso than Bridges by a mile. You can’t have a 50 million player performing like this time after time. Mikal Bridges was very good tonight. Hart, OG, Brunson were heroic. Once could say the same about our “soft” Mikal. OG, by the way, was our best player in this entire series. Thibs was pushing again all the right buttons but had absolutely no bench help. That was painful to watch.

I don’t think we have a chance against Boston, but let’s hope this series gave us some physicality lesson to use against them and hopefully push them to six or seven games. My Christmas wish is that we beat them on Monday and/or Wednesday in Boston and take it from there.

This game is a particularly vindicating win for me, a guy who never said a bad thing about Mikal Bridges all year

Anyone notice how Brunson holds Thompson with his off arm on the last play and pulls his arm away like yanking out the chair? Lowkey one of the craftiest basketball plays I’ve seen.

but let’s hope this series gave us some physicality lesson to use against them and hopefully push them to six or seven games.

Hilariously, though, Boston is coming off of the most thuggish team I’ve seen in decades in Orlando.

I couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect ending in my wildest fantasies: Brunson game winner and then bigmouth Beasley fumbles it to seal the victory!

Wally talking about how well coached the Knicks are. 🤡

He must have had more to drink tonight than me.

I still can’t believe they were this close to giving up an open 3 by Beasley at the end.

Man Brunson put Thompson on skates lol. So sick especially considering how well Thompson guarded him all series.

As much grief as I have Mikal this whole series he came up BIG tonight.

Mad respect for Detroit. They got a bright future for sure. But if we had any bench at all we would have swept these dudes. Goal number one this off season for Leon is to convince some legit vets to come here for the minimum next year to shore up the bench.

Hilariously, though, Boston is coming off of the most thuggish team I’ve seen in decades in Orlando.

If Orlando could shoot, Boston would be in real trouble. This is what gives us a chance, however slight. Very slight. I wouldn’t bet on it with the bench we [do not] have.

We may lack in consistency but we re unconscious mfkrs at closing!

Brunson was 3 for 13 in 4th quarter before his game winner, I feel like an idiot for ever doubting him.

Mad respect for Detroit.

I don’t respect them. It is their extreme physicality, borderline dirty plays that throw their opponent off and keep them in games. Remember: “the refs can’t call it all.” Pistons get away with a zillion fouls every game. This was their advantage against us. But they don’t have good players. Brunson was getting fouled on literally every play tonight.

Long term questions abound but we do have one of the best god damn hoopers in the universe and that’s worth a lot.

Of course, I spent most of the 4th complaining that every play was “let Brunson cook.” It’s truly ridiculous and Thibs has lost the plot.

But he can really cook.

Of course, I spent most of the 4th complaining that every play was “let Brunson cook.” It’s truly ridiculous and Thibs has lost the plot.

But he can really cook.

Which is why it’s absurd to me that they didn’t just double him every time. I don’t get how ANY team doesn’t just do that at the end of close games.

“I don’t respect them. It is their extreme physicality, borderline dirty plays that throw their opponent off and keep them in games. Remember: “the refs can’t call it all.” Pistons get away with a zillion fouls every game. This was their advantage against us. But they don’t have good players…”

That’s kinda funny coming from a guy named Rough.

KAT is a spectacular shooter and a great teammate, but the truth is that he is a misfit for this team. Moreso than Bridges by a mile. You can’t have a 50 million player performing like this time after time.

Setting aside the issues and fit on defense, KAT is a very big C. Other than Jokic, for a C to be a reliable scorer you typically have to either post him up, run P&Rs, P&Ps, kick out if he’s a 3 point shooter or run plays to get him open. It’s rare that a C can create a lot for himself. We often give KAT the ball 30 feet away from the basket and expect him to create for himself. It’s just not going to happen. IMO that’s bad coaching. We have one of the best offense weapons in the league and half the time he’s irrelevant as a scorer.

Which is why it’s absurd to me that they didn’t just double him every time. I don’t get how ANY team doesn’t just do that at the end of close games.

😂😂😂😂😂

I am not feeling like Detroit “choked” as much as their inexperience ane lack of elite, mature talent just got to them. They were “clutch” enough to overcome a big deficit to put themselves ahead in the 4th quarter. They hit big FTs (Duren was 8-8 before he missed one) and gave a higher seeded team everything they could handle. And they were a “correct” call away from being up 3-2 going into this game.

I give them major props. Their fans should be extremely happy with how they comported themselves, right up to the final buzzer. They will be a team to be reckoned with for the next few years.

That Brunson game winner was so reminiscent of Jordan’s winning shot vs Utah in the Finals, except without the blatant pushoff

I don’t get the Towns hate. I though mt he played well this series and showed some toughness, especially in D, that I hadn’t seen before this series. He had 15 boars tonight. Detroit tried to beat him up all series and he took it and dished it back out.

I agree with you, Z-Man, but I also have to say that Brunson hitting that shot after all the shit Pistons fans gave him all game long game after game is so very delicious to think about.

I’ll save my KAT takes for tomorrow. Kudos to Bridges, he really showed up big time, other than from 3.

Z-man, perhaps in a few years, perhaps, when their young players develop, they may become a really good team. Their center going 8 of 8 is good, but only because he didn’t foul out early as he should have. “They can’t call them all.” Their starting PG has very good potential but comes up short at critical moments down the stretch. Not to mention that he is a worse liability on defense than our Brunson. Schroeder went crazy in this series. That is the best I have ever seen him shoot, even better than when he was in LA by far. Without him, the series wouldn’t be close. And so on and so forth.

As of now, I stand by what I said. [and I am not changing my handle 😂]

Game one is monday? Three full days without a game?
It could get hot around here! 😉

“I agree with you, Z-Man, but I also have to say that Brunson hitting that shot after all the shit Pistons fans gave him all game long game after game is so very delicious to think about.”

Oh, for sure! Brunson performing that way under immense pressure from the fans reminded me of how Trae cooked us at MSG. Brunson was classy about it, rather than being dickish like Trae was.

I don’t get the Towns hate.

It’s not “hate”. Towns is who he is. A great guy and spectacular shooter. Very good player! Nobody “hates” him!

Yeah Bridges was great tonight no doubt. Hopefully this unlocks something bc all season it’s felt kind of like a mental dunk for him so maybe coming up big in a close out game will settle him down.

The good thing is that no one expects us to win against Boston. We really can just let it all hang out and go for it. Honestly I do think this series could have been a good warm up for us bc of how physical the pistons were. I think it forced us to find that inner dawg in us and if we can bring some of that to Boston on Monday we might catch them off guard. Boston is a little banged up and we’re basically healthy so this is as good of a shot as we got.

“Boston is a little banged up and we’re basically healthy so this is as good of a shot as we got.”

I think we are more banged up than them. But yeah, it is what it is. Let’s give ’em hell!

The thing about the Knicks drawing up another Jalen Brunson crunch time iso is that it really is one of the best plays in basketball, he is that guy.

It’s gonna be so much more relaxing watching the series against Boston with so little expectations going into it. I fucking hate the Celtics obviously but I respect the hell out of this current Celtics team.

I have to tip my cap to individuals on the Pistons:
Dennis: he could be my backup PG any time.
Ausar: The kid is tough as nails and athletic as fuck.
Duren: Loved him at draft time, and he was a badass 21yo specimen out there, with lots of room to grow.
Cade: Needs to work on some stuff but clearly worthy of being the #1 pick in that draft. Sky is the limit.
Harris: Did a nice job on KAT.

This game is a particularly vindicating win for me, a guy who never said a bad thing about Mikal Bridges all year

Bridges has been a victim of his trade. It is not his fault that the Knicks went crazy and gave five picks to get him. Blame the Thibs/Nova gang for that, not Bridges. Bridges is a good to very good player and that’s about it. Very good players come up big at critical moments like tonight.

It’s gonna be so much more relaxing watching the series against Boston with so little expectations going into it.

Sure about that? Sure the “fire Thibs” imbecility won’t explode if we are down in the first quarter of the first game? Oh, I stand corrected: this may start even tomorrow.

Don’t forget about KAT’s steal late. Very big play IMO.

Towns is obviously frustrated. I don’t think he expected his new team to run no offense at all.

Jalen gives Jeter vibes, as in ~ Whatever it takes, man.

I’m glad we start the next series on the road…

feeling greedy already, round one series win is not enough…hopefully we do more than just show up…

Pistons were a good first round test, better than the bucks, heat, and magic — significantly. Knicks were inconsistent just like in the season, we have yet to play a full game … Half glass empty or half glass full on that. If we can put together a consistent 48, we can beat anybody … Can we? We’ll see. For tonight let’s celebrate, not bash these dudes, they played their asses off even if not always smart, they consistently played hard

Since Brunson signed 3 yrs ago, our floor has been top 4 seed and a 1st round win. That’s nothing to sneeze at.

Everyone knew that all road lead through Boston, so Leon tried his best to get the wingstop needed to build this team to beat Boston.

We don’t expect us to advance and beat Boston in our first try as a base case scenerio, but the followoing 2-3 years? – Yes, we do.

NY players will get better as they enter their prime and gain this type of experience, we add some pieces (a coach maybe) and Boston team is weakenned for financial reasons and aging.

What a series…what a close out game…what a joyfull night…

I think Cyber left halfway through. I hope he watches tomorrow with no spoilers 😉

I forgot the Clips have the better Bogdanovic on their bench.

I’m telling you, if they can get by Denver, they’re gonna give the Thunder all they can handle.

I want Denver to win the series to disillusion Ty Lue more, but just as a fan I’m glad it’s going 7

NY players will get better as they enter their prime

All the starters are either in their prime or late prime.
