2024-25 Game Thread: Knicks @ Spurs – Texas Medicine

The Knicks get the cure for what ails them in this matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on the road, as the Spurs are hobbled by injuries, so this should be a solid win (granted, the Knicks have won three of their four most recent games, so they’re not really ailing, per se, but you all know what I mean).

Hopefully we see some more Mitch/KAT minutes.

Let’s go, Knicks!

The Dylan tune is the classic “Stuck Inside of Mobile (With the Memphis Blues Again).”

We had a power outage for the last 2 hours, so we had to light some candles like in the old days. LOL
And now it came back just in time to watch the Knicks, so it’s all good. 🙂

Gooooo Knicks! 🧡💙

Well there’s our first-quarter hole. I’m feeling better already…

Is 6 pt a big enough hole for us to start playing better, or does it need to be bigger? 😀

Knicks love starting off games not giving a shit.

I hope this stops come playoffs time.

Why is Mitch playing tonight against a team with 0 bigs when tomorrow night they play a team that actually has a bunch of bigs? Why am I even watching this shit?

The Deeeeuuuceee chant is a good barometer of how many Knicks fans are in the building. We have fans everywhere! 🙂

How’s down 13 working for you, Cyber?

Well to be fair the Spurs look to be really bad, so maybe they’re giving them a bigger lead than usual. 😛

Clearly Mitch is in there because Thibs recognizes that nobody on the Knicks will make another shot, so someone has to clean up the offensive glass.

OG really pulling out all the different bad drives in his repertoire tonight.

Og is regressing on offense…he appears to be hell bent on driving to the hoop…unfortunately he is not good at it

“KAT and the Clankers”…ha, nice cyber, hopefully you were able to enjoy the quiet, and your food didn’t spoil 🙃

that’ll be the challenge with starting mitch and KAT together…who comes in to play center?

if the answer is precious, that could be a big hole in the playoffs…

hopefully you were able to enjoy the quiet, and your food didn’t spoil 🙃

All went well, Geo. I’m from the 70s, and in the past this happened from time to time.

#Yankees Carlos Carrasco is putting the finishing touches on a stellar spring.

Carrasco threw five shutout innings with two hits allowed tonight against the Braves. He struck out three with one walk.

This spring, Carrasco has allowed only three runs in 15 2/3 frames (1.69 ERA)

On another note..

Terrible game so far. Maybe BBA is right… “Why am I even watching this shit?” 😀

Heading down to Turks and Caicos with the missus at the crack of dawn. Hopefully I’ll be able to sleep after this mess.

And we found the winner of the Lord Sumner award… Sandro Mamu-something!

And just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, KAT walks off in agony holding his hand…

Well, that’s better than going to work tomorrow morning. 😛 Enjoy! 😉

Holy hell, *I* lose power for five minutes, and I come back and we’re down 21???

nice cyber…

although I’m a bit hooked on the gta online stuff at the moment, a goal is to try and unplug more and listen to the birds, water, wind, whatever environmental noises…

had a chance to visit the south (san francisco) bay area along this area called shoreline park, there’s a cool amphitheater near by…so quiet there, occasionally bird sound, squirrel chitter, wind…that’s it…

Edit: i was zoned out thinking about cyber’s woods and that peaceful bay area, missed that spurs run…

wow, we’re down 23, oops…

I’d say at least Yankees opening day is next week but I’m not that excited about them either right now…

That sounds great ( pun intended 😉 ), Geo. 🙂

it’s getting worse, not better…hope huk is healing well…tyler, pacome, other guys on the bench get a good warm up in at halftime…

we’re getting smoked in a near empty gym, somewhere in texas that’s not dallas or houston…

Kevin McCullar Jr on triple double watch tonight

Finished with

20 Points

10 Rebounds

10 Assist

If I squint at the box score, I can only see that Mitch is +2 with 6 points, 5 rebouinds, and a block in only 7 minutes.

Well, maybe we crush them in the 3rd like last game, but it’s late here and i think i’ll pass the job to win this to you guys. 😉
See you tomorrow, good people of KB. 🙂

A lot of Hart’s shots these days wouldn’t look any different if he just pegged the ball at the rim

The ball movement is so much better without him though! In fact it’s so good we regularly move the ball to the other team

Gawd almighty.

Announcer said something about the Spurs coach ‘in Popovich’s stead’ and I thought he’d said, ‘Popovich is dead.’

Thank goodness he didn’t say that.

Gonna be annoying in a few weeks when every single member of the national media is gonna predict the Knicks losing in the 1st rd.

yikes, I give, we’re getting worked by some backup to the backup center…

defensive rebounding pinball leading to a three…that seems a frequent thing…

Multiple chances in this game to give end of the bench guys a chance to play and bring some energy, but the coach is out of touch.

Thankfully tomorrow night there’s the ncaa tourney and Concacaf Nations League semifinals to watch instead of the Knicks Hornets game.

Watching Pistons/Heat. Pistons certainly are an interesting team . I’d be interested to see what the odds are on a Pistons/Knicks series.

and Cade bangs in a Game Winner..

If it wasn’t for Mamukelashvili this would be much closer

Would this guy touch the court if Thibs was his coach ..

Moses Brown could do what this guy is doing to the Knicks tonight, bit he’s stranded in the G League

Watched only the second half. This was utterly weird and inexplicable. One moment the Knicks looked fine and the next two they looked drugged or sleepless, slow to react and lost. The way they allowed that young guy from Georgia to be open time after time after time was indicative. It was also mind-boggling. It was also unprofessional. Pathetic. They should be fined for the way they played.

Terrible loss. This Spurs team couldn’t guard anyone before this game and we barely score 100. Let a team like this go up 20+ like that.

The players gave a poor effort in the first half but again this team will go nowhere with Thibs as coach. I’m so done with him. What has he done this year that warrants keeping him around? We’ve won a lot of our games on talent alone.

Johnnie Bryant seems to have been the hidden gem in the coaching staff. Now Mo Cheeks and the rest are either useless or letting Thibs do too much. Look at the Spurs guy go off. His refusal to develop the bench has always been an Achilles heel and I hope is the reason he goes.

Perfect game to let end of the bench guys with a lot of energy play. This coach is to outdated.

Seating is pretty much set at this point so tonight’s loss doesn’t mean much. What is really upsetting is the attitude they showed. What the fuck happened between Monday and tonight? San Antonio is not South Beach. Why did they look like this?

The Knicks have the third seat locked up. (Seating twice over a 2-day period now.)

Thank G-d QG only got 28 points tonight.

Had to walk away from this game because it smelled like dead fish, but I did come back to note that Mitch had a double-double in 17 minutes.

His ten day contract should be up soon. Let’s see if it renews.
