I am thankful that we have the 2025 first-round pick of one of the oldest teams in the NBA that has not looked very impressive to me this season.
Happy Thanksgiving.
One of my fears about this season may be coming to pass. I thought a few teams around the NBA last year had significant injuries and could be better this year and a few others were young teams that played better during the 2nd half and would probably be even better this year.
That’s kind of what I am seeing around the league. Some of the teams I expected to play better in the regular season are playing better and there are very few easy games. There are a LOT of very competitive teams.
This is why I thought it was possible the Knicks could get some development and be a better team but still wind up with a worse record.

I am thankful for the bulk of our “spirited” debates having to do with moves we made years ago rather than fairly recently. And best Thanksgiving wishes to Scott (L), Isiah, Phil, and Steve whose non-presence makes today even more special.

Was walking through a store last week and there was this couple walking towards me, and this big guy starts coughing away, spewing his germs all over the place – I knew right then I was about to get sick.
I’ve been in bed since Monday. Thankfully the turkey I have thawing in the fridge will be fine to wait another couple of days to cook it.
The kids are all with their mom, and I’ve called and let my ma know earlier in the week things weren’t so great with my health.
I was really looking forward to cooking a turkey today. Life has a way though of reinforcing the notion that patience is almost always needed.
Good news is – just me and the pooch in the house together for a while. It’s soooooo quiet, I love it ā¤ļø
True holiday = nothing to do but get high, play video games, watch tv and chill.

How did you pick that one up in your lingo toolkit?
I use that word a lot, “wag.” To me it always meant a hardened, crusty older person who makes droll observations, but that might not be the literal definition.
Statler and Waldorf, those guys are wags. Dorothy Parker. Jimmy Breslin. It has become antiquated and is becoming totally obsolete unfortunately. I probably picked it up from reading old baseball books when I was a kid.
Here in europe it means “wives and girlfriends” of famous people, namely sports players. Didn’t even knew it had another meaning.
