owen that was meant to be a joke about the lebron tweet. six years olds were unharmed.

    From an Ian Begley tweet

A coach from an opposing team – a team that will not face the Knicks in the playoffs – on NYK in postseason: “You will get beat up on both sides of the ball – you’ll feel it over the course of a series. Even if you beat them, they will wear you out.”

As a guy who came of age as a Knicks fan with the Oakley/Mason/Ewing squads, that quote is music to my ears, Knick fan. Especially since this team is much more aesthetically pleasing on the offensive end than the Riley teams were.

That coach must have seen Josh Hart take out Brown and Tatum on one play on Sunday.

Quite impressive, too bad he couldn’t have included Smart for the trifecta.

“You will get beat up on both sides of the ball – you’ll feel it over the course of a series. Even if you beat them, they will wear you out.”

I’m getting irrationally optimistic about this postseason. Swift, step aside, i’m taking the crown. 😀

Yeah, Alan, it was apparent vs. the Celts that our physicality is a problem for other teams, starting with Randle the human battering ram but pretty much throughout the rotation. Not the assault and battery types like Oak and Mase, but definitely the kind of team you feel after playing. Besides getting in to the paint more than most teams, we seem to go hard over screens a lot, which involves a lot of contact.

I love that aspect of this team. We’ve established that we are not going to let up no matter what the score. We’ve had 3 losses of more than 20 points (Nets 27, Mavs 21, Suns 21) and none since our record was 10-13.

“Quite impressive, too bad he couldn’t have included Smart for the trifecta.”

Julius took care of that for him with an “incidental” kick to the groin.

    This one’s not bad too…
(“It’s a strategy for some coaches to not let the other teams get layups…)

    🙂

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7r6vXeOfyQ

I’d be thrilled if this team will build a bruiser rep,
maybe you can beat us but you have to pay for it…

    P.S.
I rememeber jumping from my couch when I watched live the “clothesline” foul…

    Yes, classic trap game…

What does the KB Hive think about letting JB rest and heal tonight?

I’d rather avoid any risk and have him fresh and sound for the western swing…

That Grant Williams choke job last night when he missed both foul shots with .7 seconds left was particularly awful because right before he said to Mitchell “I’m making both”

Feel so bad for Celtics fans 😂

I legit don’t get how a team as seemingly as good as the Celtics have now lost three times to three Eastern Conference teams! That’s kind of crazy, right?

They rescinded Giannis’ triple double. Officially, he ended up with only 9 rebounds.

Right, but that it ever even came to that is nuts. Again, this is a dude who has two MVPS, a title and a Finals MVP and he’s trying to get a cheap triple double? What goes through your brain there, Giannis?

It is a trap game but I think the team will REALLY want to make it 10 in a row. Somethin’ feels just a little bit different when you get that win streak in the double digits.

But let Brunson rest. Even without him we SHOULD handle Charlotte. Let IQ get some more reps as the starter.

Got tickets for tonight. Feels like a homecoming game of sorts after two insane road wins against maybe our two most hated opponents. Hopefully we get off to a good start and put the trap game notions to bed early.

Would like to see Grimes get going. He had that explosion against the Nets but other than that feels like he’s been quiet and/or bad for a while.

Even with Hart and the emergence of IQ, I still think Grimes playing well is pretty essential to our chances of making real playoff noise. We know the traps and double teams are coming for Brunson and Randle and Grimes’ shooting can relieve some of that pressure.

A coach from an opposing team – a team that will not face the Knicks in the playoffs – on NYK in postseason: “You will get beat up on both sides of the ball – you’ll feel it over the course of a series. Even if you beat them, they will wear you out.”

Didn’t anyone else pick up on the fact that theoretically, we could play literally *any* team that makes the playoffs in the playoffs, even if it’s not until the Finals? 🙂

As a guy who came of age as a Knicks fan with the Oakley/Mason/Ewing squads, that quote is music to my ears, Knick fan. Especially since this team is much more aesthetically pleasing on the offensive end than the Riley teams were.

I get Patrick Ewing vibes from Julius Randle a lot. Especially when he’s holding on to the ball too long.

This team reminds of Riley’s first – the 91/92 team w Xavier McDaniel. That is still my favorite Knicks team, and while I would not have named my first born after the X-Man, I find the fact that his mother did to be very serendipitous.

I can see a parallel fate in the postseason, too. A tough first round series that goes the distance followed by a second round matchup against the very best.

And like that team, the ensuing offseason could be the ultimate determinant of our success. I hope I don’t start another flame war by saying this, but Checketts and Grunfeld really blew it in the summer of 92.

They lost the X-Man andtraded Mark Jackson. Their prize acquisitions were Rolando Blackman, Tony Campbell, Charles Smith, and Doc Rivers. Team was a player short for the next 3 seasons; if they had gotten that summer right, we probably have am extra banner in the rafters.

Randle has been even more amazing than in 2020-21, but come on, he’s no Ewing.

Miami vs. Cavs tonight. The good news is that one of them has to lose. The bad news is that one of them has to win.

    Who are we rooting for?

Is it more important to catch the Cavs or put another nail in Miami’s coffin?

trying to reset my expectations for the knicks this morning…

sure would be nice to reach a double digit win streak…gonna take a moment though and reflect what an awesome season it’s been so far…

    whatever happens next, happens next…

again, would like to see brunson get another night off, and, hopefully julius gets a game or two off during the road trip…

Didn’t anyone else pick up on the fact that theoretically, we could play literally *any* team that makes the playoffs in the playoffs, even if it’s not until the Finals? 🙂

I took that as meaning a coach of a team that won’t be in the playoffs.

    Who are we rooting for?

Is it more important to catch the Cavs or put another nail in Miami’s coffin?

The nail is basically already in for Miami. It is much more important to try to catch Cleveland, so we have to root for Miami in this matchup.

Not to derail talk of the playoff aspirations of a certain eastern team, but how are the gambling men here wagering on the west at this point? I’m feeling that Golden State may be the team that gets and stays healthy right on time again, especially if they let Denver and Phoenix beat each other up in the second round. Gonna be interesting.

Agree with Brian. The numbers within the standings do not lie. Cleveland is much more of a rival of ours right now than Miami (not much of a threat anymore), so we have to want Miami to win and push Cleveland down in the standings even closer to where we are.

“The nail is basically already in for Miami. It is much more important to try to catch Cleveland, so we have to root for Miami in this matchup.”

Haven’t you ever watched those horror movies where it seems obvious the villain is dead but there’s always at least one more surprise? 🙂

We are now officially good enough to focus on catching the teams in front of us and not worrying about what is happening behind us. Plus if Cleveland win it takes a bit off the uniqueness of our beating Celtics in OT and the Heat in consecutive games.

I am eternally grateful that the Knicks first waited until “Bing bong” died down as a thing before they got good again.

    >Not to derail talk of the playoff aspirations of a certain eastern team, but how are the gambling men here wagering on the west at this point? Pre season my main bet was on Denver to win it all. I have a smaller bet on the Bucks that would still be nice and have a break even bet on the Nets (that's up in smoke now).

I still feel good about Denver and the Bucks.

I'm not sure about this new Suns team. They obviously got the best player out of the deal and are dangerous, but Paul is kind of old and they don't have as much depth. I have to see more.

Memphis kind of blowing up was good for me.

The Warriors can be a problem if they ever get to 100% heathy. They have the experience and still have their big 3 and a couple of other good pieces. They aren't the team they were in the past given they are older and not as deep, but there are no super teams out there.

The key for Denver was to get home court because they are way better at home in that thin air than on the road. That may not be as much of an advantage in the playoffs, but they need all the help they can get.

I was betting the coaching change would hurt Boston a little and was counting on either Harden to go into a slump come playoff time (lol) or Embiid to get hurt to derail the 76ers.

I’d totally forgotten about “bing bong” until it was just brought back up. Please let it lie dormant, like Mount Vesuvius.
    🙂

Between trade Julius Randle for a box of gluten free cookies and go full tank mode…Jalen Brunson is not the answer…fire Thibs…etc.

Its pretty cool that us as fans were mostly all wrong while Leon Rose and brain trust were right. That’s a little different, isn’t it?

Milwaukee definitely seems like the team to beat in the East. In the West, Denver has by far the best record, but it’s hard to trust them in the playoffs. I’d still put them first. If not them, maybe it’s Phoenix. They already are in the mix of teams trailing Denver, they just got Durant and they have playoff experience.

I’m getting irrationally optimistic about this postseason. Swift, step aside, i’m taking the crown. 😀

    @ Cyber — Don’t jump the queue 😉

I get Patrick Ewing vibes from Julius Randle a lot. Especially when he’s holding on to the ball too long.

Like Hubert, I see the Ewing comparison in that everyone except Brunson always gives Julius the ball at the end and then just waits for him to “fix” it –> Bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce, turn, jump, shoot. But (today) I love both those guys.

    REST BRUNSON TONIGHT, PLEASE.

Jalen Brunson is not the answer

I can’t say that no one was against the Brunson signing, because someone’s always against (or for) anything, but as close to no one as possible was against the Brunson signing.

SAS can’t let go of DM trade. So, it made me think:

First offer was Mitch, RJ and three picks. Jazz Declined.
2nd offer was RJ, IQ and two picks. Jazz Declined.
They wanted RJ, Grimes, IQ and three picks. Knicks declined.

    Talks broke off.

One of those 3 picks picks turned out to be Josh Hart.

Would the Knicks really be better off in caving in and having Donovan Mitchel than having RJ, Grimes, IQ and Hart combined + two picks?

As a guy who came of age as a Knicks fan with the Oakley/Mason/Ewing squads, that quote is music to my ears, Knick fan. Especially since this team is much more aesthetically pleasing on the offensive end than the Riley teams were.

+1. Like the conscious decision was to bring back the hard Riley Knicks and fuse that style with the selfless ethos of Clyde’s teams. Every single postgame interviewee says teamwork, unselfish, next man up, etc.

I really enjoy the moments in life where I am not listening to or thinking about Stephen A Smith

“no one as possible was against the Brunson signing”

Agree but I’m not talking about the signing. Sure, the signing was a no brainer. We needed someone/anyone to run the point. No one wanted to bring back the Alec Burks experiment.

Talking about JB being “the answer”. Most on this board, fans in general and mainstream media still deny that Jalen Brunson is the best PG (total package of leadership + game) in the Eastern Conference this season. Most still don’t think he’s “the answer” as far as being 1A player on a championship contender.

Yet somehow under his leadership, Knicks went from 27th offense to near top of the league. All with same exact rotation players. Kid has been both clutch and elevated his teamates to become more efficient basketball players and better teamates. Which other PG in the Eastern Conference would have done a better overall job this season and/or we would rather root for to better represent NYC?

Brian, I promise…its OK to say it…JB is the answer and we were all wrong…Thank you, Leon Rose.

I don’t trust any team in the west. If I had to bet, I’d put money on the Suns.

The Nuggets health and defense worry me. Porter and Murray are not known for either.

The Lakers, Clippers, and Warriors need to get it together.

“The Lakers, Clippers, and Warriors need to get it together.”

I forgot I also have a small bet on the Clippers. I need Denver though. That’s the major bet. The Bucks would be OK.

“I really enjoy the moments in life where I am not listening to or thinking about Stephen A Smith”

If you don’t have anything nice to say…..but I’m going to make an exception.

Some of the people getting paid huge amounts of money to discuss sports on TV are so terrible I can’t imagine what anyone is thinking. I wish I understood the methods they used to achieve their success. It’s too late for me now because I’m retired, but clearly working hard, doing a very good job, being nice to people, and not stabbing anyone in the back does not work. I tried that. I’m not complaining. I did fine for myself given I lucked into the right career at the right time, but it appears merit often has little do with outcomes.

    Stephen A?
    Skip Bayless?

I could go on and on

The Clippers are so weird. They should be so much better than they are. Adding Westbrook seemed like such a bad idea, by the way.

The Lakers are just fucked. They’re going to get Lebron back just in time to be, what, the #10 seed? And maaaaaaaaaybe sneak in there as the #8 seed in the playoffs only to have to go on the road to Denver in Round 1? And are they seriously going to re-sign DLo, Bamba and Beasley? And go all in with that squad?

i was thinking about this the other day and i do see Randle and Ewing shades a bit especially in those last second opps.. but the guy i have been thinking a lot about is Zach Randolph….

obviously Randle has far surpassed anything Randolph ever did but i used to compare these guys all the time in the leadup to his signing… and they were pretty similar up until that point because power forwards as an archetype have been relatively cookie cutter for awhile…

but they remind me of each other in other ways… Randolph’s late career surge did propel those grizzlies teams to surprise….. both Randle and Randolph had their mercurial tendencies.. similar games and similar inconsistencies throughout their careers… eventually they found their game and their home….

careers and development can be very strange and it’s not a straight path all the time…. and even when you find success it can be a fleeting thing… it’s more about intersecting time and environment (just like in most things) and for a lot of careers that timing never occurs (and happens overseas a lot of the time)… and i see what Randle is doing now i think back to what Randolph did and it’s like seeing a couple of multiverses in action…. and hopefully we have as many adventures with Randle as Randolph had with the Grizz….

Lakers are in a 4-way tie with NOP/POR/UTA. OKC is half a game back.

Lakers have their work cut out, but I’d still favor AD et al over those teams. Zion coming back close to 100% would change the calculus.

It’s easy for me to understand how Stephen A has succeeded. He’s very funny. I have laughed out loud at countless clips of him saying something. For that reason I don’t really have any qualms with the guy, I just know to ignore entirely his “analysis” and take him for what he is.

The Clippers are so weird. They should be so much better than they are. Adding Westbrook seemed like such a bad idea, by the way.

Easily the weirdest team in the NBA right now IMO. I picked them to make the finals before the year, which looks incredibly stupid with them hovering around .500 and not guaranteed so much as the play-in…but also would it really shock anyone?

What’s so weird is it’s not even like they’ve been totally derailed by injuries such that their regular season statistics are meaningless. Kawhi has done his usual thing of being the NBA’s Jacob DeGrom, but even he’s played in over half their games.

Yet it’s still hard to shake the feeling that they should be viewed way, way differently than the average .500ish, 21st in net rating team. There aren’t many teams, either this season or ever really, that could legitimately lose in the first round (or even the damn play-in round) or make the finals with neither outcome being particularly surprising. But at least for me, that’s the case with them.

Its pretty cool that us as fans were mostly all wrong while Leon Rose and brain trust were right.

Yeah, I know Knicks PTSD and we’re all psyched for the playoffs and whatnot … but it is too early to make this conclusion.

    (1)

Not to derail talk of the playoff aspirations of a certain eastern team, but how are the gambling men here wagering on the west at this point?

I put 15 dollars on the T-Wolves to win the west at +10000 after the trade deadline, so they better get Towns back.

Currently the Nuggets at +700 is a nice bet. They’ve comfortably been the best team in the conference all season and have the best player in the conference. The Warriors at +1000 is tempting. It would be Knicks 98 weird for that team to win the conference, but I certainly wouldn’t want to be bettering against a healthy Warriors in a playoff series. You have to balance that with the real chance they don’t even make the playoffs though. I don’t trust the Clippers and the Suns odds aren’t very enticing.

It’s tough because nobody in the West plays any defense except for the team with the PG who might be iin rehab at the moment. The Suns had a good defense but they just traded away two good defenders for Durant.

Director NYC is digging for Mithril like he doesn’t know what lies beneath the mines of Moria.

Some of the people getting paid huge amounts of money to discuss sports on TV are so terrible I can’t imagine what anyone is thinking. I wish I understood the methods they used to achieve their success.

It’s not just sports tv. Pretty much everyone on TV is bad.

Philip Tetlock wrote a great book called Superforecasting that touched on your question. He said they get hired because of the confidence with which they express their wrong opinions.

I’ll give you an example of how it works in my industry. Something will happen in the market, and the media outlets will start ringing the phones. Expert #1: “I don’t think it’s that big a deal.” Expert #2: “it’s nothing to worry about.” Expert #3: “the market’s going to crash tomorrow!”

    Guess which one they book?

    Wankers. The lot of them.

“It’s easy for me to understand how Stephen A has succeeded. He’s very funny. I have laughed out loud at countless clips of him saying something. For that reason I don’t really have any qualms with the guy, I just know to ignore entirely his “analysis” and take him for what he is.”

I guess I don’t find saying the stupidest thing I can think of to get a rise out of the audience entertaining, but a lot of people must. I’m mostly looking for serious analysis. It’s not that I don’t appreciate humor. I love the TNT crew even though half the show is clowning and I don’t agree with everything they say, but they at least they know basketball and are talking player perspective. To each his own.

It’s tough because nobody in the West plays any defense except for the team with the PG who might be iin rehab at the moment. The Suns had a good defense but they just traded away two good defenders for Durant.

The lack of defense is bonkers. It’s why the Bucks should be big favorites if they make the Finals.

if you watch ESPN for sports analysis, you’re doing it about as right as those who watch Tucker Carlson or Bill Maher for political analysis

The Clippers haven’t been making any effort to win all season.

Their entire season is load management. They know they have 2 fragile elite players and enough other good pieces to at least make a serious run. The goal has been to just get to the playoffs healthy and then turn it up a notch. We’ll see if they can just turn it on like that, but recently it hasn’t looked so great.

“if you watch ESPN for sports analysis, you’re doing it about as right as those who watch Tucker Carlson or Bill Maher for political analysis”

I stopped watching ESPN, mainstream news, and political shows a long time ago. I’m much smarter now than when I was young, maybe just not listening to them has contributed to that. 😉

I think this team is more similar to Van Gundy’s Knicks teams than Riley’s teams.

But that seems like a really bad plan when there has been only two teams to win the NBA Finals without home court advantage in the first round. One was nearly 30 years ago, and the other was over 50 years ago.

*** SAS can’t let go of DM trade.***

I didn’t know who you were talking about. I was scratching my head trying to figure out why the Spurs would be hung up on the Mitchell trade.

Which gives me an idea. I’m going start referring to Kelly Olynyk as NYK, just to spice thing he up around here.

I didn’t know who you were talking about. I was scratching my head trying to figure out why the Spurs would be hung up on the Mitchell trade.

Seconded! I thought this meant the Spurs were hung up on the Dejounte Murray trade.

By the way, amusingly enough, of the seven teams that have made the NBA Finals without having home court advantage in the first round, three of them were Knicks teams! The Rockets did it twice (including one of the only two wins) while the Heat and the Celtics are the other two (the Celtics being the other team to win the Finals without having home court in the first round).

Also, there is a bit of a trick here, as for a while there, the top three teams would get first round byes, with the #4-5 seeds playing each other, and the winner then playing the #1 seed and the #2 playing the #3 seed. So if you were a three-seed back then, you wouldn’t have had home court in the first round that you played, but that round would be the second round, so I’m still counting that as not being a team without home court in the first round.

I’m pretty sure that there has only been one team that has been lower than a 3 seed that has won the title, so l don’t think just make the playoffs is a viable strategy. I think the only team to do it is one of those 90’s Rockets teams.

This Daniel Jones/Saquon thing was quite the rollercoaster ride, huh? It was like a movie with a bomb ticking down with the digital clock reading the countdown on it.

Only four teams have made the Finals as a #5 seed or worse (Rockets twice, Heat once and the Knicks once), but obviously, a #4 seed in 1969 was a lot different than a #4 seed now, ya know?

Amusingly, a #7 seed is the only seed to have never made the Finals. Before the Heat did it a few years back, a #5 seed had never done it either (two #6s and an #8 before the #5!).

We know that Morant is out for at least 2 games for an Instagramming While Intoxicated intervention, so what are the best guesses as to what the Wiggins intervention has been that has kept him out for a month now?

When asked if he was going to miss the rest of the regular season, Bob Meyers said, “I don’t think that’s what anybody is planning for. But we’ll leave that in its own place. That’s not the expectation. I think what you’re asking is – could he remain out for a long, long time? I don’t think that’s happening. I’m going to leave that alone. Hopefully when he gets back, whatever words he would like to say on it, which I don’t think will be much since it’s his private life, he will do.”

That cleared everything up perfectly, I think.

these TV personalities aren’t interested in thoughtful analysis… they are LARPing as analysts… but what they are actually doing is fishing for attention by appealing to your darker tendencies…. whether by appealing to your id through hot takes or getting those rage clicks…

so if you get bothered by whatever SAS.. bayless. sharpe or tucker.. say… dont take it personal but you probably just got baited….

Putting Maher in the Tucker bucket, Jowles is in a dark mood.

I am a mid forties Dad and I am totally fine with Maher. I actually feel like he is more in tune with America than just about anyone on tv. His attitude on animal rights is basically the only left-wing orthodox thing about him that I would say is non-consensus (i.e. out of the American mainstream.)

Amusingly, a #7 seed is the only seed to have never made the Finals. Before the Heat did it a few years back, a #5 seed had never done it either (two #6s and an #8 before the #5!).

You got it, Brian. That must be the Clippers plan, to reach the finals after being a 7th seed. 😀

Bill Maher mostly just complains about wokeness and fat people. He’s the Stephen A Smith of boring mediocre obsolete middle aged comics.

“I’d totally forgotten about “bing bong” until it was just brought back up. Please let it lie dormant, like Mount Vesuvius.”

Unfortunately the Bing Bong guy works for MSG.

so if you get bothered by whatever SAS.. bayless. sharpe or tucker.. say… dont take it personal but you probably just got baited….

Facts! – Definitively baited. The weird thing about SAS, (my apologies for confusion), called that GS was going to win the title last year. (barely squeaked as a 3rd seed)

Yeah, Bill Maher is baaaad. Like, almost depressing in how hack he is. I don’t even really mean his politics (which I don’t love, either), but everything about his curreny show is lazy and hacky. Politically Incorrect was at least an interesting show depending on the guests.

I am with Owen on Bill Maher. While I don’t watch him much, I like his schtick and pick and choose the things I agree with him on. I don’t think he gives a shit about public opinion except when he goes over the line and is forced to.

Tucker Carlson is in a whole different line of work. He is actively trying to incite a conservative revolution and will lie through his teeth to promote that cause. He smugly admitted to as much in his recent testimony. And he continues to do so. He panders to his viewers’ worst instincts and to great effect.

SAS is way more like Maher…often contrarian for its own sake but mostly about schtick.

I fully agree the show and the stand-up are mediocre but I actually think the politics of Bill Maher are more astute than that. His Trump take was first ballot HOF material and I generally enjoy his final segments.

Comics complaining about wokeness is the 2020s equivalent of comics complaining about airline food.

Oh, sure, Maher and Tucker Carlson are completely different beasts, and Carlson is so much worse, so sure, that’s fair to not want to lump him in with Tucker.

“But that seems like a really bad plan when there has been only two teams to win the NBA Finals without home court advantage in the first round. One was nearly 30 years ago, and the other was over 50 years ago.”

It was a better plan than the Lakers had. 🙂

They were only half doing load management for their broken down stars trying to make the playoffs and they kept breaking them down. 😉

Brunson out again tonight. I look forward to watching 6MOY frontrunner Immanuel Quickley start again.

Begley: “ Tom Thibodeau said Jalen Brunson (foot soreness) is getting better but he’s not quite there yet. Brunson will travel with Knicks on upcoming West Coast trip.”

I guess I don’t think of him as a comic. I mean more that he is sort of a good libertarian bellwether. Anyway, go Knicks. 10 wins in a row is in play, non need to batter about mediocre comics.

I don’t watch Maher or Tucker, but I did stumble across a Bill Maher podcast with Kid Rock and couldn’t resist. I have to admit it was pretty epic watching them get stoned together and be so amicable even when they disagreed strongly. It remined of me of better times when everyone didn’t hate each other. Maybe legalizing weed has some upsides I hadn’t considered.

The Hornets are really bad. They’re the worst offensive team in the league and most of their shot attempts go to Terry Rozier, Kelly Oubre, and PJ Washington. Their best overall player is a Plumlee. Dennis Smith Jr plays major minutes for them.

Let’s beat these guys because they stink.

“I guess I don’t think of him as a comic. I mean more that he is sort of a good libertarian bellwether. ”

From what I gather he has a lot of libertarian tendencies, but different segments of libertarians have different priorities. I doubt he knows or cares much about monetary policy, fiscal policy, and trade flows but for some libertarians sound money is practically their god.

Not sure if its OK to bring up politics here as a relatively new poster but Maher is a pisser. I think he’s funny. He’s definitively no Tucker Carlson.

Friday’s episode with Bernie Sanders and Russell Brand was hillarious.

Actually felt bad for John Hailemen. He was right that MSNBC Wall Street owners of Vanguard, BlackRock, State Street, Fidelity…are relatively much much better humans than working for Robert Murdoch and his spoiled brats but Russell kept telling him that its not materially better and we should demand more. Hillarious!!!

Love Bernie. Will never forgive Hillary & company for doing him dirty.

Thank god for this being game #10 and the streak. Otherwise, its a perfect trap game for a Dennis Smith career high type performance.

“Randle will never match Ewing. No human can sweat that much.”

Have you seen Rafael Nadal play tennis? Definitely both belong on the Mt. Rushmore of profuse perspiration.

Nothing gets me scrolling faster on a page than the sight of Stephen A Smith’s face. Don’t find him funny, definitely don’t find him insightful, and mostly resent the fact that he’s become the Network’s resident NYK fan.

Big fan of the Inside the NBA crew. ESPN is amateur hour compared to that group. The other RJ doing color on our last game nearly gave me hemorrhage.
