    Zeros across the board for Frank in 15 minutes- neither he nor Knox would have gotten in the game in the second half if not for the score/foul trouble. It’s really tough to see how the Knicks will continue to give them minutes unless Hezonja is benched because you have to think Dotson played himself back into the rotation.

    It’s a legitimate question but the answer is pretty simple; bench Hezonja and bench Mudiay. They’re probably more productive than Knox and Frank but they have no future here. That’s the kind of easy decision you make when you’re rebuilding. The players association won’t be busting down your door about not playing two guys nobody else wanted.

    If the Knicks took Allonzo Trier with the 9th overall pick he’d be getting the PT and publicity necessary to have him firmly in the ROY hunt.

    Missed the game but just saw the box score. Man, Frank & Knox. Our two lottery picks shouldn’t be the best tank drivers on the team.

    Although this actually makes me feel better about all those years we didn’t have lottery picks. I’ve always kidded myself and said things like “We could have had Noah” or “Jamal Murray would have been a Knick.”

    I’m pretty sure we were only starting Hezonja because we were playing fairly well in games that Hezonja started.

    Had they not traded their pick to Denver back in 2002 (that Denver used to draft Nene), the Knicks were going to pass up Nene and Amare Stoudemire to take Chris Wilcox. Soo…yeah, that is a very likely possibility (to be fair, the Clippers then did pick Wilcox #8 ahead of STAT at #9, so other teams were dumb, too).

    The Knicks have a long history of draft mistakes. Trier is definitely not one of them.

    It is pretty unbelievable that Trier went undrafted. Even more hard to believe that a PED suspension was potentially the cause for teams steering clear, when the NBA has a rich history of drafting/giving contracts to sex offenders.

    Robinson now averaging 6.2 fouls per 36.

    Trivia question: who is the last Knicks to average 6+ fouls per 36 for an entire season?

    Porzingis had a lot of foul trouble his first season, but I don’t think it reached that level. Maybe Camby?

    It was another 20 year old center. An exciting find at the time. I remember having high hopes for him. But, sadly, he didn’t stick around long and was ultimately out of the league by 22.

    That is both interesting and scary. I hope that doesn’t happen to Robinson. You’d think a player could learn not to foul. The question is can Robinson do that and still stay effective. Other players have done, but Butler is certainly a counter example.

    I can’t remember a game when three players fouled out with less than 20 minutes of game time each…is that a new NBA record?

    I remember thinking that the Pistons were nuts to trade for Blake, but he’s really playing at a high level. Maybe not #1 option material, but definitely way better than I thought.
