    (Saturday, November 05, 2016 9:40:38 PM)

Thoughts of benching Kristaps Porzingis in the fourth quarter for defense likely have evaporated from coach Jeff Hornacek’s mind. Though Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah took the Windy City by storm Friday night, Porzingis was the one who created the largest Chicago fire in a 117-104 win over the Bulls. Hornacek pleaded for his players…

I was shocked to see that Favors is only 25. Only a year older than Grant and Galloway.

If Berman is correct that the plan is to sign Randle to the main roster once he’s healthy, who gets cut? Sasha? Plumlee? Ndour? Ron? I hope it’s not Ron.

It’s gotta be plumlee; he’s the only guy who hasn’t seen any PT and likely won’t with the shortened regular season rotation

Plumlee makes the most sense. Ndour hasn’t shown much of anything yet (except a tendency to pick up fouls), but he is quick and H seems to like him. So, upside. Sasha is probably kept as a glue guy and mentor to the Euros. Cutting Ron would be foolish.

Seems highly unlikely that any team would grab Plumlee if the Knicks stash him in Westchester.

I’d rather see Sasha cut- especially since I think Phil’s gonna hafta let Hornacek run his own offense(of course with triangle elements) so the team can use it’s players better- and since Baker can play both guard spots. Also, I envision a 2 PG lineup on that second unit once Randle’s back, and that will benefit the team immensely having to ball handlers on the 2nd team. But given that Hornacek is a fan of Ndour’s defensive activity, Plumlee is gonna be the one to go. Of course, they could surprise us all and cut Cheese- which will be a huge mistake. He and Willy’s only issue is they haven’t yet gotten accustomed to playing NBA defense. By December 15th, I expect the both of them to make a huge push for playing time.

Mudiay with an o-fer last night (0-7) bringing his FG% to a ghastly .271 over the first 5 games.

Say what you will about Phil, but he could easily have drafted Mudiay or Winslow (who I think is overrated) and no one would have questioned it.

    Until now, of course.

I’d like to see Sasha cut and turned into a coach to sign Randle. Our yutes are just too promising.

With a 26 year old O’Quinn, 21 year old Porzingis, and a 22 year old Hernangomez, we have our front court for the next 5 years. I can see Plumlee being the one who gets the boot.

I had to DVR the last game but after watching it and reading the comments, I have little to add. But the one thing that I do have to add is that I saw a basketball game that I wanted to see. Melo wasn’t the focal point. Other players took over. Health, consistency, chemistry and depth are the ingredients we need now. The talent is there in the starting lineup.
