The Knicks host the Milwaukee Bucks tonight looking for their first home victory of the young season. The Knicks destroyed the Bucks when they first played them (in Milwaukee, even!) in the season opener, but Milwaukee was playing without the Greek Freak, Jabari Parker and OJ Mayo. They’ll be without Mayo again but Giannis and Jabari Parker will both play tonight.
Parker playing could be good for the Knicks, as while the Greek Freak is a good defender, Parker is coming off of a major injury and still looks tentative out there, so that should open up opportunities for either Melo or Porzingis.
Michael Carter WIlliams is not playing tonight, but that might be a good thing for the Knicks, as while he is very fast, he makes terrible decisions out there. His backup, Tyler Ennis, will start (Ennis also missed the opener). Ennis is not particularly good, either, so this might hopefully finally be a point guard matchup where the other team’s point guard won’t light the Knicks up.
The Knicks ran the Bucks off the court last time, so let’s hope that they bring that same intensity tonight.
It’s a big game, with the Bucks at 2-3, same as the Knicks. Sure would be great to get back to .500!
Let’s go Knicks!
