    Andrea Bargnani. What Kevin Love wishes he could be.

    It is kind of amazing how much Love’s numbers have turned up as of late though….

    Jackson sure sold low on JR (3-13) and Shump (0-4) (although performances like that would actually help our tanking goal.)

    It’s pretty funny that JR says he’s playing better because there’s no nightlife in Cleveland and then, the first Sunday afternoon game that they play in a city reputed to be a strip club hotbed, he goes 3-13…

    Here’s a simple way of thinking about efficiency/usage with a theoretical question about it at the end.

    HE = High Efficiency
    LE = Low Efficiency
    AE = Average Efficiency
    HU = High Usag
    LU= Low Usage
    AU= Average Usage
    + = positive
    – = negative

    HE + HU = ++
    HE + AU = +
    HE + LU = Neutral
    AE + HU = +
    AE + AU = Neutral
    AE + LU = –
    LE + AU = –

    What about

    LE + LU = ????
    LE + HU= ????

    One could argue that if you are low efficiency, low usage is better than high usage. At least you aren’t taking a lot of shots. On the flip side, you are utterly useless on offense.

    A lot of awesome games recently. I can’t wait until the Knicks are good again and they can be involved in cool games, too.

    a Maximum contract, Efficiency Low, Offensive player would equal a MELO?

    There’s a rumor that Dolan might buy the Daily News. I can see the sports headlines now:

    “Valiant, gritty Knicks fall to Celtics 110-80”

    “Knicks average ticket price of $150 best value in sports”

    It’d be funny just to see Frank Isola’s reaction. I suspect he would leave rather than become the Marc Berman of the Daily News.

    @ 1, that’s notable for two reasons. One, he’s actually doing this as a featured offensive player for the team. Two, even though it’s a small sample size, it suggests that Having a different offensive system than before, has made him more productive. When the Knicks traded for him, they were big argument about whether this could actually happen.
