    1. I view preseason games mostly as seeing whether players look like they belong or not. In other words, I don’t think preseason can show who will be a star, but it can show who isn’t a rotation level player. I think Summer League has sort of the same effect, but obviously the preseason is even more so, since all the veteran players are playing, as well.

      Like we’re not going to know if Kuz, Ndour or Willy H are going to be studs by how they do in the preseason, but we’ll have a good idea whether they can hang with “real” NBA players.

      Guys like Baker have it even tougher, as they have only a few minutes a game to show that they not only belong in the NBA, but are worth cutting guys with guaranteed contracts to sign them.
