Not sure what happened, but the site went down some time around this morning. I don’t want to get into the technical details, but it’s more of a configuration issue than the hosting. The server seems robust & the data is there. Just some gremlins I’m trying to chase down.
Going to look into it over the weekend. Site should be operational for the time being, although the permalinks had to be changed.
Fingers crossed.

glad were back is there going to be a new daily thread or should we just use this one
Cam Schlittler broke the Red Sox and Knickerblogger.
Knickerblogger stayed up too late because it was amped about Cam Schlittler. Actually that was me.
That’s a schlittle bit of a stretch, guys.
Schlitt happens.
i think mathews and huk are keepers small sample size theater for sure but mathews hitting 3 of 4 3 pointers and contributing 9/1/2 in 10 minutes was nice
Since October 2019, I would describe myself as the Donnie Walsh of Yankees fans: completely disillusioned, not really a fan any more. Except instead of whoring myself out to other teams like he does, I’m a passive aggressive bitch yelling at the man whose fault it is. We all have our ways of coping.
Like Donnie, I don’t watch. And without that investment I don’t really feel the same joy when the team wins. When the Yanks made it to the WS last year, I likely experienced .0001% the pleasure that someone like Al did.
I say all this as preamble to what comes next.
CAM FUCKING SCHLITTLER RULES!
What he did last night made me feel like John F Kennedy after a house call with Max Jacobson. It’s giving me 2017 feels, like they just got the pitching version of Aaron Judge or something.
same for huks 6/6 in 6 minutes
This has been another lesson in “The Playoffs Are A Crapshoot Because Sometimes You Run Into Talented Pitchers Having Great Games”
OT
Anyone into Chris Buck as a guitarist?
thank you Mike K…
Counterpoint: when nearly every talented pitcher has a great game against you for 7 years, there’s a structural flaw in your approach to building lineups. (Schlittler rules but I’m not kicking being passive agressive to the curb.)
Schlitter was a seventh round pick who was drafted almost solely because of “projectability.” He threw in the low 90’s when they drafted him but he was 6’6” and had a classic pitcher’s frame. He steadily added velocity as he progressed through the minors and the Yankees developed him as a power groundball pitcher. Was never a highly hyped prospect despite always generating high amounts of strikeouts (even with the lower velo early in his career).
Now in 2025 he has plus velo for a starter, and has that big frame, which bodes well for his durability. The last piece of the puzzle for him has been command, but in last night’s game he had complete command of his fastball and didn’t even need to mix in much offspeed stuff. When he did go to the offspeed pitches he was able to command those well too.
Really interesting arc as a prospect.
Cashman’s staff needs to get some flowers here. If you watch his devivery, every pitch he throws he glances down toward his feet which seems to be like a golfer using a forward press to initiate his putting stroke. It simplifies his mechanics and get everything properly sequenced. I’ve never seen a big guy throw so easily to generate that velocity.
He pitched with amazing equanimity. He was completely unemotional (outwardly) at any moment in the game.
After decades of incompetence developing pitchers they have spit out Schlitter, Gil, Schmidtt and Warren in short order with others crushing AA in the pipeline.
Not quite Hubert form, Bob. A proper Hubert-pat-on-the-back can only come after a chorus of folks chimed in to tell you how stupid you are for making your claim before the claim comes true, like (for example) when I suggested the Knicks should avoid trading for Joel Embiid at all costs back in the summer of 2023 after he just won MVP. Seeing as there wasn’t a 200 post thread full of people calling you a moron for suggesting Schlittler would come through, this is pat on the back is just self congratulatory.
Thanks as always, Mike K. Hope all is well with you and yours!
My takeaways from yesterday’s game:
Seriously, I though as everyone else did that Mitch and Deuce stood out miles ahead (npi) of everyone else. Did Deuce actually improve his ball-handling? Hard to tell against those scrubs in Sixers uniforms, but those were some nifty moves! Beyond that, I liked Huk’s minutes and Matthews is earning a good, hard look…seemed Donte-esque out there, with kind of a Woody Harrelson vibe.
Regarding Dadiet, Kolek, and Diawara, none of them stood out in a positive way.
Regarding Brogdon, Shamet, and Matthews, seems like Garrison won the day, and frankly, Brogdon looked old and out of shape. I dunno, maybe that’s just his body type, but whatever.
In summary, this game was a throwaway, as will tomorrow’s. The Sixers are a joke right now, and the Abu Dhabi ambiance plus jet lag makes it hard to really take anything meaningful away, other than it looks more and more like Mitch will start.
The real preseason starts next Thursday vs. a healthy Wolves team with Julius probably looking to ball out even if it doesn’t count…I’ll be there and expect a much more meaningful game.
Since Z-Man seems to have no take-aways on the very first preseason game played in a foreign country, I’ll have a go with my take-aways:
There’s definitely more motion going on, we’ll see if it ends up being coherent.
Deuce might be making a case for being indispensable.
Healthy Mitch is a monster.
It pains me to appear to agree with anything Doogie says, but since I said it first, Huk is definitely making a case for being in the rotation.
Matthews is weird-looking but damn he can shoot. Not sure there’s a place for Novak 2.0 on the team, however.
Everything else feels even more like guesswork or wishcasting. A whole lot of questions to get answered as we move forward. Which at least makes future preseason games interesting…
As to Dadiet, he made some very glaring mistakes out there and clanked all of his 3PA, so maybe the pressure is getting to him a bit.
lol Raven, we crossed posts but essentially said the same things!
As a side note, I watched the youtube clip of the two 20-pt comebacks vs . the Celts, and what stood out to me was how the offense did not seem gummed up at all…it was sort of the epitome of the “the game will tell you what to do” offensive strategy. It’s not like the “run to the corners” thing is going to be something new…
I guess what I’m saying is that I wonder if the look of the offense is going to be all that far removed from what we saw last year, or if it will be just around the margins. We shall see!
PS I don’t think there is a chance in hell that the Knicks trade Deuce unless it is in a blockbuster.
I didn’t get to watch the Knicks game yesterday but Hukporti seemed to get some positive reviews all around. It seems like Huk wouldn’t need a ton of development to become a useful piece. We could really use another rim protector.
Huk playing well is very good. We could use another large body in the rotation so I think him continuing to develop and earn minutes is great. If he can give us 10 minutes off the bench, when Mitch plays, and 15-20+ when he doesn’t would be really good.
It also further makes the need for two of Mathews, Brogdon, and Shamet less necessary. Which lets us keep Kolek, Dadiet, and Diawara. Not having to dump a young player to sign a journeyman, replacement level 12th man is a good thing.
i seem to be the only one willing to give kat any flowers for his very efficient 11/5 with 1 steal over his 17 minutes maybe thats because he is a star and is expected to play well but i thought he looked good
KAT and the starters are pretty much givens at this point, so there really isn’t much to learn from a cameo in a very low-stakes game against scrubs.
Although on the Philly side, two guys who stood out to me were Adem Bona and VJ Edgecomb. Bona seemed very active and has an impressive combo of size, strength, length and agility. Edgecomb looks ready to contribute as a versatile small wing.
To undraw that parallel, I would like to say that the Yankees have won 7 titles in your lifetime and been to a half dozen other world serieses. They have been the paragon for most of that time. Whereas the Knicks are 0-2 with an enduring legacy of #lol.
So, sure, I have acted out against my ex by becoming a bit of a slut. But you are Eric Benét divorcing Halle Berry because he thought he could do better.
who are you talking to everyone here has different lifetimes some people here i believe were alive for the knicks last two championships
holding on to my: yabu is gonna be a msg superstar stock…he had mentioned focusing on fitting in, i’m gonna guess it’s gonna take some weeks/ month or so before he looks “impactful …despite clarkson’s words to being a “free shooter”, imagine he will take some time also to find his game playing in this role with this group…
shamet or brogdon don’t have those kind of issues, their games are what they are…
thinking about player speak, really liked how mitch broke it down about adding a new coach, some new players, basically saying we’ll get on the court, figure it out, but first got to get to know one another…
he just sounded like such a baller when he said it, like show up to any gym, my team ain’t stepping off the court…seems like one of those folks that help make the people around them more sure of themselves…
the message was mike brown’s, liked though how mitch shared it – all the time looking to jump the journalist around him…was a pisser that dude…
thinking about it – the knicks could probably win about 30 games this season just utilizing roster players 6 thru 15…several teams in the league that could accomplish that, but still cool…
no way to guess on health though…well, maybe except for mitch, but who knows, maybe he’s learned to treat his body well for such a demanding ask as being a professional basketball player…and – hopefully he gets some good luck with his health for the first time in some years…to date most games/minutes played in a season was four years ago (seventy-two games/one thousand, eight hundred and forty-eight minutes…hopefully he’s due for some grace…he seems to have figured out the personal weight and conditioning aspects of the sport…
ha, i must be nervous about mitch and trying to convince myself he’ll be okay…so many key players, he just seems like such a championship piece…
would i take him as our starting center over isaiah hartenstein…thinking about KAT and isaiah on the floor at the same time makes it a lot closer but, yeah mitch all season…
Yankees vs Blue Jays is a very interesting matchup, as the Yankees are one of the more TTO (three true outcomes) teams in the league while the Blue Jays are the least.
The Yankees led the league in HR and BB% and were sixth in hitter K%. The Blue Jays struck out less than any other team in the league, 30th in K%, were the best defensive team in the majors, and have middling BB% and HR numbers.
The Yankees have better pitching, as they allowed 40 fewer runs than Toronto despite Toronto’s stellar defense and neutral home ballpark. The Blue Jays allowed a lot of home runs, and were near the bottom of the league in both HR/FB and HR/9.
On paper it seems like the matchup strongly favors the Yankees. Those poor HR rates don’t seem like a good omen for Toronto. They’re going to have to BABIP their way to beating the Yankees.
dont think it will take yabu weeks or months to figure it out geo i think it will be much more like 5-7 games
I’ve been saying all along healthy Mitch and Yabu are the keys to the season. Those two, along with possibly Brogdon (if he has anything left) are the net plus upgrades relative to last year.
Mitch comes with some issues (spacing and FTs), but he’s a beast in other ways. If he can stay healthy, hit ~ 50% of his FTs and they can figure out a way that his presence doesn’t kill the spacing for KAT, Brunson and Bridges too bad, the net will greater than Hart and strengthen the depth either way.
Yabu will be a major upgrade over Precious on offense, but we’ll have to see if he gives up just as much on defense.
Brogdon is a two way player. If he has something left (and I think he does), he’s a key addition.
Thanks, Mike K. If you need any help, let me know. 😉
Don’t know who Schlittler is, but the first comments using his name in a funny way made me laugh. 😀
Don’t know him either, but i’m a fan of his brother… Peter! 🤭😂
I’m rooting for Deuce to have a breakout season. Mitch is already a monster. They are our homegrown talent, so i love them a little bit more than the others. 🧡💙 Sorry*, JB. 😛
*just kidding, i love Brunson as much as them.
Right now it’s a race between gemini ai & chat gpt to give me the proper code. So far my job in IT feels very safe from AI.
same ai cannot yet so far do what i do either
I’m sure AI could annoy the shit out of us if it tried, doogie.
speaking for myself it already annoys the shit out of me so i know what you mean
LOL
lol fer sure
howdy mister hubie, always hoping for your health…
so sir, any thoughts/inclinations/desire to take another bite from the alien universe?
huh
So of course I tried to fix it and made it worse. On chrome it’s still being redirected to another site. Sorry if you’re experiencing that. Still looking into it.
its redirecting into nothingness thank you again for all the time and effort you put into keeping this community up and running
I’m on chrome and it is working. Thanks, Mike.
Looks fixed! Thanks again Mike!
Brian, how about a game thread?
I’m ready for the game, it’s at 4PM here.
Maybe we’ll have the europeans, maybe not. 😛 Max and Farfa in Italy, it’s 5PM there, and Iserp is in Spain, i think, also 5PM. KYN in Greece i don’t know if it’s at 6PM or 7PM there.
And all the other non-americans, come forward, i always like to know who we are. 🙂
Let’s gooooo Knicks!
https://x.com/Timberwolves/status/1974178084493607396
I miss them, but we can’t have all the players/coaches we want. At least they look happy.
I’m American but I’m in China so it’s 11pm here
OG in! Hart ourt.
I like this announcer’s voice, kinda Breen-esque…
Still doesn’t work on Chrome for me, it redirects to an alleged charity site… or maybe my phone has a virus
KBA (American) but tuning in from Milan. Go Knicks
I wonder if Brown can put a small dead mouse on the forepart of his pate. It’s really the only thing I miss regarding Thibs.
OG not looking like himself yet
Edit: And now he does
OG looking better than himself now…
A two-pointer, a three, and then a fast-break pass for the Mitch dunk!
Some vintage Clyde: “wheelin’, dealin’, threelin’ the crowd!”
China, Italy and Portugal on board. Nice. 🙂
Team looks good, but you really can’t expect full effort in preseason, they’re in autopilot mode. 😉
I am keying on KAT’s D at the 4 and like most of what I see. As I have felt all along, I think that’s his best starting position, with a guy like Mitch as the 5. Our front line is huge with OG as a 3, not so much with him as a 4.
Not sure if I am delayed, but nice alley oop from OG to Mitch. I could watch that all day 😉
So good to hear Clyde’s voice again. 🧡💙
If that just happened, then yes.
Also want to note that Mitch running down the floor on the break is a promising development.
Just hit the live button. Think I’m caught up, but I just saw Bridges shoot free throws so I could be dreaming.
Here comes Clarkson, let’s see if he’s an upgrade over Cam… or if we’ll feel the same “Payne”. LOL
watching the game on nbatv, it’s the pre-season and already feeling the need to mute the announcers…
Hey Geo,
In the NBA app you can choose the Knicks stream with Clyde from the drop down menu on the left (on mine, at least).
If Clarkson is going to take shitty shots in traffic hoping to get fouled, he should probably make his foul shots.
Knicks went 5-out for a few minutes yet didn’t take a single 3…
Edgecombe is gonna be a problem…
Looks like kat lost a few lbs…good for him
Now going small w/ Brunson, Clarkson, and Deuce all on the floor…Mitch running the floor extremely well!
“Looks like kat lost a few lbs…good for him”
Yeah, noticed that, even Brunson looks a bit trimmer…
The main thing for me re: Clarkson right now is whether he looks healthy and athletic or washed. Not worried about shot selection at all.
nice kba, yay…still chillin” and wrapped up like a burrito in the bed…
KBA for the early win, changed over to the nba app 😊
Deuce is our best player.
5 titles and zero are attributable to Cashman or Hal. Unlike Halle Berry, they’ve earned the ire.
The Knicks, for all their incompetence, have never prioritized profits over winning. They’ve just been terribly stupid. Cheating on your wife — with two of her bridesmaids, no less — bc she’s not the smartest is pretty low.
getting excited to see our regular season minutes rotation…hoping to see a steady 10 man rotation with another couple of players getting some regular usage also…
happy to see mikal more aggressive and involved on offense…
To use a challenge in a preseason game… 🤦
Don’t really know him as an artist, but I’ve watched a bunch of his YouTube videos. His thoughts on the Gibson ES 335 helped convince me to get one (not that I was hard to convince; I just had to sell a kidney).
This is a very provocative lineup…
Guess mitch didn’t work on the free throws over the summer….
Healthy Mitch is a joy to watch.
Well, Mitch’s FTs look the same. 🙁
Free throws aside of course…
Slightly more arc, so maybe there’s a glimmer of hope…
C’mon, hitting .250 is actually pretty good in MLB now. We just need to reconsider how to think about Mitch’s free throw shooting…
Clarkson with 2 nice assists to Mitch that quarter.
Teams need to start signing counters to Mitch for the playoffs
I agree his FT form does look better for whatever that’s worth
mitch with 6 boards already…go mitch…
OG looks a few pounds lighter, ready to play the 3…
Edgecombe looks pretty nba ready…
Happy Abu Doogi Gameday to those who celebrate.
I was very high on Edgecombe… it’s annoying how good the Sixers are at drafting. Once they blow it up, I’m sure they’ll rebound well.
But for now, I’m glad we’re looking champion-esque.
Clarkson against 4 players, he’s already making me mad and we’re still in preseason. LOL
Anybody clock the exit velocity on that block?
Brogdon looks very heavy-legged to me…
That last shot from Deuce inside looked like he’s been watching Brunson highlights.
love how a microphone picked up that player: give me that shit (block against mitch)…
I have a feeling Edgecomne’s TS% his rookie season is going to be pretty awful.
Agree that Brogdon looks heavy-legged, although I’ve always thought that of his game.
Clarkson on the other hand thinks he’s still 23. Which, well, he’s not.
Brunson with an off the ball Curryesque 3pter, hoping to see alot more of those this season.
Barlow is only 22 so he might be a pretty good find for the Sixers if that 3pt shot is for real…
Mitch with only 8 rebounds in 13 minutes…what’s wrong with him?
“I have a feeling Edgecomne’s TS% his rookie season is going to be pretty awful.”
Probably, but he’s definitely got game. He will certainly be helpful this year.
Yeah, it’s like he said, “Wait, the game can be easy?”
I think Brogdon turned the ball over bringing it up the court last game too. Still, he can make all the passes out of the pick and roll, which not many players on the roster can do.
The French Rejection
Maybe hating on Yabu after 1 preseason game was a bit premature.
Mikal Bridges has Freaky Friday’d with somebody
Kennedy Chandler and Walker Kessler were my fave “2 last name” duo at draft time…
Haha. These are the first Yabu minutes for me, and after his 3 and his rejection, I think he’s the best player in the world.
OG back to his “drive to nowhere” ways…
Clyde: “Broome with the anachronous hook shot…”
Eye test, but it feels like the Knicks have slid into last year’s boring, gummed-up offense in the last few minutes…
Yeah, maybe inspired by Clarkson he thought “let’s go against 3 or 4 players and see what happens” 😀
I don’t think we can take away a lot from these games in Abu Dhabi.
Brunson is still pretty good.
-Despite Brown’s ball-movement thing, we only had 8 assists on 15 FGA.
-Despite Brown’s emphasis on more 3PT attempts, we only shot 11 in the first half (29 total shots)
For me, halftime is Hansen Yang being interviewed in Chinese by a really cute Chinese woman.
(The actual game calling is the English version, which is an option)
Z-man, I agree about the assists might be a worry (although it’s a small sample size). The three pointers don’t bother me much since we got so many at basket attempts, which are also good shots.
Not worried or judgmental at all, just pointing out the irony in this meaningless game…
Dadiet still looking pretty raw…
Clyde killing me. First “Yo-bo,” then “Hart is 30 years old… chronologically.”
Dadiet killing his trade value…bricked a wide-open 3, then just got burned by Kennedy Chandler…
Send a photo, or i don’t believe it. LOL
He wants to be a Knick, who can blame him? 😉
Drummond with a spot-up 3? WTF?
Huk really seems to have a sweet little running floater…
The book on Yabu is that he’s a pretty decent defender at the 4 despite being a little bit of a chonk. He moves his feet well for a big guy and can body up against other 4’s, and is considered to be a smart defender. He’s not much of a rim protector but most people who know his game seem to think he’s a decent-to-good defensive player overall.
Kolek forcing a shot clock violation was not on my bingo card
Matthews making sure he gets “his”
Kolek’s shooting sure looks ass. If he can become money with his shot he’s a rotation player, but while it’s early it’s not looking good so far.
Maybe we move both Kolek and Dadiet to bring in Matthews…
Kolek….just ain’t that good…I think he’s toast
I would prefer to see the end of bench players with one or two rotation players, for it to look like a proper offense.
Yeah, i’m starting to lose faith in Kolek.
Glad to see that our end-of-bench scrubs are better than their end-of-bench scrubs.
I ragged on Jemison last game, but he looks very big and not so bad today. Maybe he spends a year in the G?
End of bench Knick scrubs all seem to play pretty good defense at least.
I may have spoken too soon…
Unless Clyde can call him Ev, i’m against keeping Evbuomwan because of name issues LOL
McCullar easily the best 3rd stringer on either team, even playing PG for us.
Kinda feel like Kolek should change up his hairstyle and angle for the Ron Baker contract ;-$
LOL
Ev playing very well, despite Cyber summarily firing him.
Hospital Administrator?
With a player option. Or should I say “administrator option.”
well, went a whole 2 weeks without any anxiety meds, not so incidentally coinciding with a couple of weeks of mostly home alone…
all it took to kick me off the wagon was a call from ma checking on me while trying to get a blood pressure and then blood sugar reading, and having one of the boys standing next to me rambling on about something or another…
yeah, work in progress, and um, better living through chemistry i guess…why does engaging with others have to be so freaking hard…look, it’s easy enough to do here at KB, why can’t it be easy everywhere like this is…
Thibs having a conniption somewhere as Brown doesn’t put the starters back in for the last 2 minutes of a preseason game.
Kolek and Dadiet are both looking like goners.
Kolek barely seems worth a Kopek thus far
Mitch looks great. I’m all in on starting him. He’s too good to be worrying about the spacing. We’ll see who finishes if FTs become an issue, but Mitch should start.
I like Brogdon in the rotation getting real minutes with Hart, Yabu and Deuce.
Kolek looks like he’s gone backwards a bit, but he might look better if he was playing with the better players. If not, he may be out, but they may have to attach a 2nd rounder or something.
I still have no opinion on Dadiet. He may be out just because they can move him and get something back.
This is why you try to keep some of these kids in Europe for a year or two after drafting them. I’m not out on Dadiet yet, but he certainly didn’t need to come over last year and probably not this year either.
Hey Geo, 2 weeks is great, it’s one step at a time. 😉 What’s your profile pic about?
Exactly. But maybe because it isn’t looking good with Rokas too, they tried a different approach. At the end of the day, maybe it’s just that they’re not at the NBA level and we have to move on.
Where the Knicks are on the win curve, if you’re not definitively in on a player this year then you should be out on them.
Kolek was not drafted as a project and he hasn’t developed. Dadiet was a project. Better minds than me see him in practice but hate to see him tossed aside because he is not ready to contribute this year.
How’d Huk look today?
Dadiet is four years and change younger than Kolek, so it makes sense to be more patient with him. He just turned 20.
Huk looked fine, still has some fouling issues but showed a floater that seems repeatable.
I could see moving on from Dadiet because he hasn’t separated himself from Ev or Diawara, seems like he stalled a bit. I’d rather trade Kolek but maybe both should go and 3 vets should be signed, with Diawara the only kid on the roster.
It seems like more and more you can find good young players with upside like Diawara, Dink Pate, Ev, Jemison, etc. as UDFAs, on the waiver wire, or very late in the draft. The league is pretty saturated with talent, so these kinds of players seem to shake loose more and more. So in that regard, both Kolek and Dadiet seem pretty garden variety.
Overall thoughts:
OG was MVP with a scoring flurry in the first half.
Mitch was quite large, and contained multitudes.
Jalen played well, although it might be a bit early to take charges.
Yobo at least showed up, which he did not do last game. But meh so far.
Deuce continues to look highly competent.
Shamet tried hard on D.
Hukporti continues to look like a solid backup.
Jemison actually looked like someday he might be decent. He seems way bigger than 6’11”.
Matthews forgot how to shoot halfway through the game (1-6).
Ev played shockingly well (4-4, but also passing and D).
McCullar did okay, made some shots and threw himself around a lot.
Matt Ryan can be cut later this evening.
Dadi-o and Kolek were ass (combined 1-10, often blowing bunnies).
At some point i thought “maybe we should keep Matthews”, by the end “Oh… never mind!”
If he can keep this level we should definitely keep him.
howdy cyber, i hope you’re well today 🙂
pic is a bit about hope, from an old album called: Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show…here’s the story from neil himself…
thought i needed the change when i switched up the hyperlink on my name…added this chilled tibetan fella talking about stuff…
it’s funny, kind of like faith, new found sobriety, love – finding some new “thing” like that gets you all impassioned, filled with hope – especially if inspired by persistent desperation (i got demons crawling up my ass 🙂 )…all that to say, kind of made it out of the beginner level of meditation (took some years), and it feels good…like a holy ghost revival…
was driving around with the boys a bit a go (went to the park and they were taking turns trying to run me down out on the court) and thought of you when this came on cyber…
judging from the photo on the vid page, seems it would be very much clyde approved…
It all gets back to why they drafted him in the first place. If it was just bc he took 80% of the rookie scale, then fine, get rid of him. But if they actually saw something in him when he was 19 y/o, there is no reason to be out on him 14 months later.
Btw if anyone else signed up for the Inform Your Community event on Dec 2 at Pier 57 let me know. You know what they say: Fun today. Change tomorrow.
Not buying the Ben Rice stock y’all were selling. Dude swings at everything, even after a 4 pitch walk. If he had just kept the bat on his shoulder he would’ve had a 3-0 count.
Luke Weaver is so fucking bad now what happened to him this past year.
I guess Judge didn’t do something similar 2 ABs earlier?
By the way… I guess Weavers suckitude in the second half was a mirage caused by only one bad outting in mid September. LOL.
Yeah…judge’s lack of clutch hitting in the playoffs is getting embarrassing
I have so much more faith and confidence in the Knicks than the Yankees what world am I living in right now…
Ben Rice’s chase rate is actually quite low, 21.2%. League average is around 28.
He strikes out a fair amount (but not a ton) because he swings and misses at a relatively high number of pitches that are in the strike zone.
Strat this reminds me of when poor poker players say the want to move up where players respect their raises. 🙂
Gil’s fastball has been off since his return from the DL. No surprise he had trouble. I don’t understand why you have Warren on the roster if you aren’t going to use him in long relief when a starter can’t get through 3 innings? You use 5 or six releivers including Luke ( infinite ERA with 6 batters faced and 6 runs scored) Weaver? In a one run game?
I mean I still believe Yankees will make the World Series but in close games I’m just waiting and almost expecting them to blow the game cause that’s been the identity of the 2025 Yankees for the majority of the summer.
The Knicks on the other hand when they’re in a close game past couple of seasons I expect them to pull it out, of course that’s mostly entirely because of Brunson.
Looking back it really is remarkable just how amazing the 1998-2000 Yankees were in the postseason…
shohei is getting touched up at the moment, can’t believe though he’s pitching today…it’s like watching little league baseball or something…
guy is not even on my team, but proud of him like he was my own kid…
It’s painful to watch Judge chase pitches out of the zone like he’s Alfonso Soriano in 2003. But he’s beyond reproach, IMO. Like Jalen Brunson. If he struggles, so be it. I’m not going to be the one who kills him for it.
I only kill mediocre middle managers like Thibs and Cashman.
Judge is 6 for 15 so far in this postseason…
Too bad batting average doesn’t matter anymore, otherwise hitting .400 might be considered pretty good…
Great song, Geo. And yeah, i’m very thankful for what i’ve got, i hope you feel the same. 😉
About your pic and hope, that can also be about the Knicks, as we’re all hopeful about this season. 🧡💙
Great song Geo. Loved it. Dreamy Hammond.
Trying to watch the Mariners game, it keeps telling me 5 minutes later each time. It’s been five different five-minute moves forward. I think Hulu is gaslighting me…
Great song, geo…can’t believe that one got past me!
“He’s starting to adjust. You could see it. I think this is going to be good for him,” Brown said. “Because you could see how much space when he has the ball. If you want to pressure a guy like Jalen when he has the space, there’s a pretty good chance he’ll make you pay for it. So, I like that aspect of it. And then him just getting used to — run, run, run, run, run — and still be effective, whether you’re on the ball or off the ball, it was great to see. You could see he’s starting to get his feet under him, understand how to play at that frantic pace and still be effective and know where his shots are going to be and come from.”
it comes out in your words, what made me think of you…
ahhhh, sounds like you got the hulu live tv thing raven, been thinking of switching from youtube tv to the hulu tv…
my 2 TV things for the weekend have been catching up on Peacemaker (surprisingly good) and watching marvel zombies…was hoping for a live action depiction of the marvel zombie storyline, but oh well, about a billion times cheaper budget no doubt…
Was anyone else the least bit intrigued by Tosan Evbuomwan? Considering that they are both age 24, Tosan seems to have way more upside than Kolek. In 9 minutes, he was 3-3 with a made 3PT shot, plus 2rebs, 3 assists and a steal. Meanwhile Kolek is 4-16 and 0-5 from 3, with 2 asts and 2 TOs in 25 minutes. Even Kennedy Chandler blocked his shot!
It’s sort of a no-brainer that he should be the one traded for cap space. And even if Dadiet gets traded, they should trade Kolek as well and just sign any vet over him. He just doesn’t have the size or athleticism to get away with his limited offensive game.
I mean I like both guys and I’m fine with either keeping or trading either one.
So I was completely disdainful of Ev, as he’s now called (to save Clyde), and then he just started to do one good thing after another after another.
Should be interesting to see if that was The Buomwan Game, or if there’s actually something there.
Tosan is absolutely the kind of player you want on a 2-way deal. Here’s a highlight reel of his play on the Nets last year. I know these reels leave out all the misses and gaffes, but what catches my eye are his fairly advanced offensive skills…the dribbling, footwork, counters, a bit of iso, step-throughs, fallaways…. He shows a great variety of offensive scoring moves, including using his elite length to extend and score around the rim with both hands. He also seems to be a high-IQ player who sees the floor and knows how to pass. He was 2023 lIvy League Tournament MVP and made the NCAA tournament all-regional team.
There’s a sequence towards the end of the video where he singlehandedly shuts down a possession vs. OKC with his length and quickness. Seemed like he could be a very disruptive defender.
He wasn’t a good shooter in college, and hasn’t done much yet in the NBA…is the shot broken or coming around? If it actually does come around even a little bit, he might be a pretty damn good emergency wing…better than either Dadiet or Diawara. The 2-way contract means he can play up to 50 games, right? I’d love to see him out there with 4 rotation players to see what he can do.
Also, in the G-League, Tosan has shot significantly better from both the FT line and from 3. It’s a small sample, but his shot mechanics don’t look broken and he seems to have a good foundation to build on.
I am hoping for Tosanity
