The Donte story above is rather heart-warming:

when players were voting for who they believed was the worst coach in the league, Minnesota’s new guard sent a scathing message to his new teammates regarding his former coach.

“You motherf***ers better not say Tom Thibodeau. He’s the f***ing best,” DiVincenzo said, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic.

I’m not sure how DDV would feel about coming back to NY, especially without Thibs coaching, but bringing him back would not be the worse idea the team has had. I think his defense a bit more suspect than most Knicks fans think, but off the bench there would clearly be good ways to use him.

    Knickerblogger is back!!!

    👏👏👏

I don’t have much to say, but i like to read you all, so i’m glad we’re back in business.

How do the Knicks accomplish this piece of voodoo? I’d have liked to have sex with Christy Brinkley in the 80s, something, something…

Maybe NYK will swoop in and steal Malik Beasley

I hope not. We have a Jordan Clarkson for that. Personally, I don’t want to see the team’s bring another 6’4″ish guard in, I don’t care how well he can shoot. If we hadn’t stolen Clarkson off the market, then I’d be all for it.

Here’s an idea- how about bringing Mook back. He can still shoot and guard at least 2 positions..and he’ll be ready should Brown call on him. Plus he’s a vet who can instill some nastiness in some guys. That way we don’t worry about a possible Simmons crumble should we sign him, and Brown won’t be pressured into playing 10 guys

We don’t want Malik Beasley on a league minimum contract? He shot .416 from 3PT on massive volume, had the second highest total of made 3 pointers in the NBA. That would be as no brainer of a signing as humanly possible

    Talk me through it.

Say we sign Beasley. Is he good enough to supplant either Mitch or Hart in the starting lineup? Or, if he’s on the 2nd unit, do we run with an extremely small bench mob and lean on offense like the Dubs did when they won? At this stage I just don’t see Beasley as a good problem to have, because he would make it 4 guards who are going to play substantial minutes. 5 if you count Bridges who would normally be a SG, and will be if Mitch starts.

All that’s not to say Beasley wouldn’t be a great weapon for this team. It’s just that Clarkson complicates it, unless you wanna move Deuce and have even less perimeter defense

It would have to involve a trade (maybe 3 team). That’s an unlikely event now given our potential trade assets, but things can change.

I think it’s more likely than me sleeping with Christy Brinkley in the 80s. 😉

Malik Beasley would be the best minimum signing of the offseason and I don’t think it would be close

Uh I think Beasley will probably take the $7-10 mil AAV deal some other team could offer him, but wishing is free.

yeah probably wishcasting beasley onto our team is silly when he wasnt available we already picked up clarkson for the same job and detroit isnt going to take clarkson to get rid of beasley when theyve already got the better and younger version still happy to have clarkson tho

right the fact that we want to pay him less than he can get elsewhere for playing less minutes than he can get elsewhere probably isnt going to be enough to sway him but who knows anymore

    Probably not by much.

I actually was having lunch at the Wheatley Hills Tavern one Saturday afternoon on Long Island down the street from Roosevelt Raceway, and who does the owner sit at the table next to me and my friend, Billy Joel, Christy Brinkley, Brian Setzer and his quite attractive wife. Quite a yikes moment for a 30 year old guy.
