a true contest of will has ensued to see whom shall break first and put words down on this blank space today…

    oh shoot – i broke first…dang it…hope ya’ll are having an enjoyable sunday…

ok, I’ll be second. If Thibs was still the coach, he would be putting the hours in today, wondering why nobody is returning his texts. Pure speculation. But a laid back bunch of time between now and training camp may be exactly what the team—and this blog discussing basketball—needs.

Got all fucking night of the comet around here.

Were you hanging out with the Xylazine and Fentanyl addled last night?

As so often happens here, I got to look up and learn a new word.

I’m amused that so many of the ‘new’ drugs seem to be coming from vet clinics…

Jersey shore getting the delicious whipped la tur and prosciutto cotto at Angelica’s after smacking some balls around in a high stakes game of paddle with my favorite stripper on a nude beach in Sandy Hook.

In more prosaic news, looks like the Mets might actually win a game.

    Of course it’s still early.

smacking some balls around … on a nude beach

Sounds uncomfortable, but you do you

Make sure you use sunscreen. Frescobol can get sweaty.

Fentanyl has a long nasty history in race horses. It became notorious under the brand name Sublimaze in the early 70s which was created for analgesia and anesthesia in horses.

It was soon found that small doses (in the ng/ml range) provided pain killing effects with a bonus of increased locomotor activity. This made it the perfect performance enhancer which both removed pain from the animal and gave it a simulant effect.

Since the working dose was in the nanogram range, it was beyond the testing ability of most racing commissions. It was impossible to test for a number of years until ELISA testing became popular.

Xylazine is so potent, it was commonly used in vet medicine during castrations. Give a horse a blast of Xylazine and the horse will stand there calmly while you cut its balls off.

That this stuff is sold to humans is an infamia against humanity as a whole.

Another Ayurvedic reconcile, Bob. Everything is poison and everything is medicine. Maybe less applicable over the millennia but ketamine has proven highly effective both clinically and otherwise in therapeutic applications. Particularly effective for victims of ptsd. Whatever happened to quaaludes?

Of course it’s still early. Raven with a semi-Cronin impact.

Ketamine used to be great for putting radiocollars on big cats. Then suddenly kids started using it.

I would use it to put a collar on Little Raven, but now we have phones.

    Oh shit. Sorry, Bo.

I was a couple of guys playing this right by the water in Fire Island yesterday where the sand was compacted.

hi clarence, let your senses feast for the both of us 😊

I used to think most of the UK pop came from across the english channel, when you know – there wasn’t an english channel…

turns out a good bit of the folks got there from the north via scandanavia…

there’s some really old (like 8 to 9 thousand years ago old) human migration routes/settlements that go through that part of the world…

although, come to think of it, most parts of the world are probably like that too…the old stuff up there is particularly cool…

ha, imagine hitting scotland and thinking you’ve arrived in more fertile land then where you were before…

    Hey Geo… seriously tho… September.

There’s a beach in Edinburgh…I’m gonna try to plumb the depths of its fertility.

I used to love kadima (still do a little) and can still get real into but the light bat doesn’t hold a candle to the satisfying thwap of a wooden frescobol bat crushing a ball at fifty feet and you gotta fight the tiredness for accuracy. It’s all body movement and arm. Kadima is fine for nimble wristed stand in placery. I like the work of frescobol more.

Oh good, I see we’re spitballing so I won’t feel bad about posting random shit.
#1 These new city edition jerseys go sooo hard. GIVE!!!

#2 speaking of going hard, that new Clipse album has taken over my brain. Kendrick blacked tf out on Chains and Whips. Stevie Wonder on the keys on The Birds Don’t Sing. Man, just classic modern grown-ass hip hop.

#3 yo geo, what’s good with u? I ain’t forget about u – We’re just about settled now in the new crib, right inside the San Bern county border.

Katt Williams has a set about drugs where he says, ” Aspirin isn’t a dangerous drug, but you take 40 of those motherfuckers and it will be your last head ache!”

Ketamine is a useful drug in hands that have proper respect for its dangerous qualities. Self medicating is generally a bad idea.

Sometimes yeah. Shamans are expensive and data is available for a population navigating modern healthcare.

Yeah ess that’s the inspiration behind em.
Those unis hold a special place in my heart so I may have to depart from the ol budget a lil and cop one.

So apologies to all Mets fans for pulling a Cronin.

I follow the Mets and the Mariners for reasons. In many ways they’re the same team. Alonso (106) and Soto (104) have 210 homers over the last three seasons; Raleigh (108) and Suarez (104) have 212 (213, Cal hit another a few minutes ago…). JP Crawford is no Francisco Lindor, but Julio Rodriguez is. And so on down the line.

Only difference is that the Mariners are 8-2 the last ten games, while the Mets are 1-9.

Actually 1-10 and 9-2 in the last eleven.

I guess I’ll be rooting for the Mets when they play each other next week…

It’s really annoying that herb de Provence is not just like a standard spice in every market anymore. How the fuck am I supposed to roast the best roast chicken ever. That’s my non-basketball gripe, Geo.

“How the fuck am I supposed to roast the best roast chicken ever.”

You’re good, kid…but as long as Ms. Z-man is around, you’re second best.

You lmk Z-man, I’ll pony express one over real discreet like. You won’t even have to say it’s the best.

When the tasting menus are $310, then sure.

    I’d rather do ketamine.
