I think in today’s state-of-the-Knicks, it can be easy to forget that James Dolan is still there (what a nice thing to forget).
Our team’s owner and our country’s incoming commander-in-chief share a similar preference to hire celebrities instead of competent lifers.
Rose has been the only one that has worked out (save for a short Walsh/Grunwald reprieve). And unless The Sphere and the state of the Knicks and Rangers are showing that Dolan has truly turned a corner, it’s important to remember Rose’s effective management of his crazy boss.
Something’s wrong with the team right now, but they have to get it together fast because there’s this…
Was going to post that too Cyber. Honeymoon is over. I still see us settling around 51 wins.
I truly expect a strong reaction this afternoon.
Another loss at home against a good team (and a contender for the 3rd spot) could spark the start of uncomfortable discussions in our organization.
51 wins would be winning over 60% of our remaining games.
I’m really excited about today’s game. I think both teams want to make a statement and it should be a doozie.
We obviously have the bad taste from Friday in our mouth but the Bucks probably remember getting spanked here a few months ago before they turned their season around.
Are we the third best team in the East running slightly behind Boston? Or are we going to be in a fight with Orlando and Milwaukee for 3/4/5 the rest of the way?
Net rating and SRS seems to indicate the former but as JK47 has pointed out we’ve had all the injury luck and have been goosing our numbers by playing the starters so much. Today should be a good indicator, if both teams are at their best.
The game is at 4am for me, so I will just say Go Knicks now and cross my fingers I’ll see a good result in the morning.
I thought we were going to win 62% of our games. We have won 64% so far. Closing at 60% seems reasonable.
I know I said Bad Bunny but only kinda. Yailin la mas Viral… she’s my new favorite. Go Knicks.
I’d like to say I’m not worried, that this is just a rough patch in a long season. But the way we’re playing, seems like any team in the NBA can beat us.
We’ve had 2 decent wins since Thanksgiving. Even those had caveats.
They better start pulling their heads out of their asses.
Afternoon? Hmm, maybe i’ll be on the mountains at the time, so you guys take care of the game for me, please. 🙂
I have mixed feelings about today’s game.
On the one hand, nothing has changed with regard to my long term view of the team.
The first OKC game was a tough loss on the road and then we had a B2B that kind of knocked us out further. Both Towns and Brunson have been less than 100% and Deuce was out. OG is playing massively more minutes than he’s ever had to handle and Thibs is trying to turn Iron Man Bridges into Gumby. We’ll get past that, if not soon then after the all star break. Maybe we’ll get a good bounce back today.
On the flip side, the Bucks are playing way better than their SRS which also reflects their horrendous start.
The Bucks have been a team that was better than they looked in the playoffs. They’ve had a lot of injuries the last couple of years. This was the first year I expected a bit of a real decline. At first it looked like it would be significant. Now it looks like if they can remain healthy and Giannis is 100% this season they can make one more run. They will probably come up short, but they are no bargain for us today. This is probably going to be tough game even if we play a little fresher and more inspired basketball today.
If we don’t win, nothing has changed.
We know what the needs are.
Afternoon in NYC Cyber, for you it’s 8 PM 😉
Our team looks dead out there, I expect them to lose every game
“Not so random. I chase the sun. Ever, heard the song Lluvia con nieve by Mon Rivera Doogie? I think you’d love it. Thanks Ess.”
Never heard it, and will now make a point not to.
“Bad Bunny is officially my favorite pop diva.”
That’s idiotic. Plus a male diva would of course be a “divo,” not a “diva” at all.
It’s “Yailin La Mas Viral.” Geez.
It’d be nice if OG or Mikal could actually make an occasional 3 pointer.
Would definitely improve our chances of winning today
Just a preview of what we will be taking about later. Giannis rim frequency….

c’mon doogie, it’s sunday, don’t let yourself get blinded with who knows what that emotion exactly is…Mon Rivera is 🔥
look at you clarence, you got all kinds of good taste…
An opinion with which I vehemently disagree…….
if you have some latin instrumental music better than that to listen to, I’m curious to hear it…
I wouldn’t know if any Latin instrumental music that I have laying around would be better than it, because I didn’t listen to it. Also: I don’t have any Latin instrumental music laying around. 🙂
Clarence should try just doing an actual job. LOL
I don’t get it, Doogie. Your one trick is to come on here and complain about other people’s posts. That’s such a weird and unpleasant schtick.
To use your own oft-repeated word right back atcha:
Idiot.
LOL!!!
Speaking of Doogs… this post from the other day didn’t sit well:
Doogs, are you asserting that Winona Ryder is only employed as an actress because her “tribe” controls Hollywood?
No, I was *not* asserting that in any way, shape, or form, and it literally never crossed my mind to think that way. I have no idea (nor do I care about) who “controls” Hollywood, if indeed there is even one specific group that controls it. She’s just an awful actress, and is actually getting worse at her craft as she’s gotten older, if that’s even possible (she wasn’t that great to begin with).
Time for OG to earn his paycheck
I mean, I suppose that at some level “She failed me as a Jew” is at least an ethos.
My old roommate worked at a high end consignment boutique in West Hollywood. They sold high-end vintage pieces. Winona Ryder came in there one day (this is after her shoplifting scandal) and tried on practically every outfit in the store, bought a few thousand dollars of clothes, and then also shoplifted a few thousand dollars of clothes.
The store owner called her management and said “uh do you guys want to pay us for the stuff she stole” and they were very apologetic and gave a credit card number to pay for whatever it was that she boosted.
A couple of paparazzi guys caught wind of it and offered my roommate a staggering amount of money to spill the beans on the story. It was literally like two years worth of her salary. To her credit she refused, mainly because she didn’t want to make life difficult for the store owner.
Good times.
The Winona Ryder anti-fetish buried the needle on the weirdometer…
