With the way Kolek and Clarkson and Shamet have looked so far, it feels like we’re going to have to deal from our depth of small guards to bring in another big body at some point this season.

I think Kolek ought to be very tradable. There have to be some teams out there that need a true point guard. Sacramento comes to mind, although I’d feel bad for Kolek if we sent him there. And also, we actually need him with Alvie injured.

You know, in limited minutes Kolek has very nice advanced stats, with a PER of 21.7 and a BPM of 5.9. If he keeps this up or anywhere near it, he’s going to be valuable.

I think we need depth at PG as much as at C and wouldn’t consider trading Kolek.

It’s also important to note that our small wings (Deuce, Landry, Clarkson) all play bigger than the tall one (Diawara). They can guard up better than Mo can guard even, and they’re better rebounders, too.

The best thing to do may be to trade Mo before he loses all his shine (if he hasn’t already).

The problem with all these guys, though, is they make no money and we can’t really aggregate salaries because we’re unable to fill the subsequent roster opening without going over the second apron.
