In perusing the standings and such, I noticed that Charlotte has a very daunting last 10-game stretch run, which they started off with a great win against us. in their last 9, they face Boston twice, Minny, Detroit, and us again. Considering the battle for position, all the games should be important to both teams. It will be tough for them to avoid the play-in, but if they do, they will be a formidable 6th seed, especially for us.
More generally, for whatever failures there are in the tanking realm, the play-in system has made the end of the regular season very interesting. Clinching that 5th and 6th seed is a pretty big deal, and in the East there are only 2.5 games separating the 5th and 10 teams in the standings. In the West, the top 6 is pretty much set but home court is on the line. then there’s getting into that 7-8 game for the play-in teams.
Thanks, Bo. Maybe he can be a 2-way for the Knicks, when he decides to go through with the draft process. 😉 Anything but the Celtics, i need a portuguese in the NBA that i can root for. 😀
So next game we have an incentive? To prevent them to get to the 6th seed. 😉
get up, stand up…
Out of prurient interest I read the Tiger Woods story — four accidents, seven spine operations. One roll-over involved the combo of Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien and THC (at least he doesn’t drink!).
I had to quit Ambien before Lady Raven left me, a story I’ll otherwise keep to myself. But I will tell you this one: on a plane ride some years back a gorgeous, voluptuous young lady in spandex, maybe 18 or 19 max, sat next to me. Her boyfriend was sitting elsewhere but gave her an Ambien for the flight. She took it before the plane left, and the takeoff dropped her face-first into my lap. I then spent the next five hours wildly working to avoid getting arrested, finally propping her up against the back of my shoulder and sitting curved around for the remainder of the flight.
Lesson — only take Ambien after take-off, when you can put your seat back a bit and lift those head flaps up.
..fight for your rights! ✊
Alt Lesson- Change seats with boyfriend upon learning of Ambien intake?
Good point, Bo, but I have to admit I was not paying much attention to what the guy looked like or where he ended up sitting…
btw can mo not palm the ball?

So preference for first round opponent?
I’d go in this order (from most preferable to least):
Raptors
Magic
Heat
Hawks
Hornets
Thoughts?
Sixers are in the candidate set, as well.
Yeah left them off I’d put them at the bottom (assuming they’re healthy)
I know it’s a little early for such musings but is there anyone who ppl like for us in upcoming draft? What would u say our biggest needs are?
Mets with bags loaded no outs with Lindor, Soto, and Bichette batting…… no runs.
I would say a wing shot creator and a defensive big who could play the 4 and 5
Duece’s status is questionable for OKC. Looks like he’ll return with time left in regular season to get in game shape.
That sucked, but luckily Luis Robert Jr is playing like the 5 WAR version of Luis Robert Jr
good scrap between the hornets and the seemingly healthy sixers…
hornets still looking good…
hornets are a pretty enjoyable watch…bunch of young guys with hustle and skill…
hornets finishing with miles bridges and grant williams along with ball, miller and nipples, so not all that young…
fascinating to see lamelo morph in to a controlled and clutch player…didn’t see that coming…
If Paul George is going to play like this it makes them more interesting
Lamelo takes some crazy shots
a sort of spry joel embiid helped the sixers close out the hornets on the road…
When the Sixers female commentator said the Sixers could pass the Hawks tonight I laughed . The Hawks are playing Sacramento..
Amari Allen and Flory Bidunga, respectively, although neither would probably get meaningful minutes next season.
