2025-26 Game Thread: Knicks @ Warriors

The Warriors aren’t playing great basketball either, so the Knicks should still have a good chance of winning this one, even without the Captain and Mitch.

Let’s go, Knicks!

Feeling relatively great about 58!

thanks BC, needed that bit of sunshine…not really sure what to expect tonight…

almost forgot the joy of listening to stan van gundy constantly reminding me that my team is struggling…

Druncle at work

MLB is a joke

Much better than “Knicks aren’t allowed to pay the center they helped break out enough money so he goes to another team that is subsidized by them”.

I mean I wanted Kyle Tucker but 60M AAV is a little bit silly. Hell, 50M AAV was ridiculous.

He’s a 4.5 WAR player, ranked 26th in hitter WAR last year.

Thanks to a good friend’s future son-in-law, I sat courtside for the Westies tonight, got a very good look at Dink Pate and Trey Jemison III and a bunch of other wannabes. The pace, physicality, and skill level are certainly impressive, as is the size and athleticism of the players. my biggest takeaway is that most of those guys can knock down 3’s pretty well. The ambiance is very minor league, nobody in the stands seems to care about winning or losing that much. I still liked it a lot.

PS don’t count on Dink any time soon, he’s got a lot of Iso ‘Zo in him.

Watching Yabu on D makes my eyes burn.

Also watching him fail to rebound.

They’ll need to dump Yabu, it’s not tenable.

So nice to see the Nov-Dec offense, though.

I don’t think Yabu is playing well, but he is making cuts to the basket, getting free near it and not getting a pass there.

Yabu looks like he’s trying to calculate the arc angle of every three he takes. Dude is deep inside his own head.

Yabu got up almost an inch off the floor on that attempted layup that got blocked.

If Brown doesn’t get that fat fuck off the floor right now he should be fired. Flat out.

possibly because if you pass to him he can’t finish over a guard

We spent five 1st rd picks on Mikal and he’s playing with the reserves like he’s the 5th option

1

Was just noticing that, EB

Also ngl thinking the D looks a lot better sans JB, just sayin.

The defense looked good with the starters. It looked less good with Yabu at C.

Edit,: It’s now looking less good with the starters too.

Too much passing on that one.

Why should you guard the guy who’s super hot on the other team.

yep BBA, we will probably be behind by double digits at halftime…

MB really has to find the right combination of players to win tonight…

If we can have Shamet take Clarkson’s minutes, and any wet bag of cement take Yabu’s, we can win some games.

If you don’t like watching the team, focus on Deuce on D. Highly enjoyable.

KAT with 4 offensive rebounds already, 8 total

He really should have a field day when the opposing centers are Quinten Post and the ghost of Al Horford

Forgot about Shamet, if Knicks just play the starting lineup and Shamet rest of the game they could win.

If you’re gonna foul, make sure the shot has no chance of going in. Nice job, Mikal.

we have not lost yet…

seriously though, the warriors are not that great…

remarkable how lost we looked on offense at times…so far josh looks the best bringing the ball up and initiating the offense…

Defense was good only at short spurts. Defensive breakdowns were frequent, the paint was very welcoming to the Warriors, and so were the 3pt shots: they made 47% of them. Those four Yabu-jelly minutes were terrifying. In sum, another 60+ pt defensive half. It’s a tariff.

As long as our shots keep falling, we are still in it.

It’s actually not the Knicks’ fault, but the Warriors are in a stretch where all the loose balls and rebounds are going to them.

Great on ball defense from Shamet, too bad he let Steph go backdoor immediately after

Back to back embarrassing efforts. Everyone is at fault here. Players lack of effort. Brown not getting rotations and gameplan right. We are in a freefall. The defense from our “wingstop” is very overrated, it’s not just KAT playing bad D

If Kolek want’s to stay in the NBA, he needs to spend the entire off season shooting 2000 three-pointers per day.

I don’t think this is embarrassing, per se. They just need to come out strong in this final quarter and steal a win here.

That’s the way to start the fourth!

Man, I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaate these announcers.

That should be a flagrant.

Always good to see that Draymond’s moronic flagrants might continue to fuck over the Warriors!

There is a thing called ‘defensive stops.’ We forgot what this is. Warriors scored 37 points in the third and missed a ton of open threes as well.

Players lack of effort.

Who? All I see is a lot of hustle. Even Towns is trying tonight.

Towns misses the second free throw and then commits an awful offensive foul. Ugh.

KAT misses the FT and then makes a dumb decision on that offensive foul (should have handed it off).

Expect Kat to foul out in 2 mins. He is the least intelligent star basketball player I’ve watched in as long as I’ve watched basketball

As said, this is why we need Sochan. Gotta throw Pods to the ground and step on his fucking face.

1

Hart has to shoot that. I mean, couldn’t have been worse than Clarkson’s shot.

OG has really shown something tonight.

Apparently we should have some punk hit him in the face every game.

Exactly midway thru the season and on pace for just 50 wins while barely holding on to the 3rd seed.

How can you be the greatest shooting big man in history and miss two point-blank layups?

1

That list of worst defensive teams since January 1 was jarring. Us and the dregs of the NBA.

1

I mean, great that KAT has a lot of boards, but maybe if he could hit a shot near the hoop instead of throwing it out of bounds, we’d have done a little better.

What a crazy challenge, and what a bad call. That was a foul, push by the left arm.

If not for that fourth quarter in Portland, we would have been swept this WC trip. Tough times for this team.
