Towns has to be the highest paid player in the NBA least capable of getting his shot with no consistent offensive move to do so. Yes the defense has been bad but outside of brunson no player on this team seems to be able to *consistently* score in iso or post ups. Brunson needs help!!
Not enough passing on offense and as usual not enough defense. It feels like last year.

Absolutely not lol. I don’t like his high turnovers, but Cade is not the same guy as last year when he was really really good. Cade’s a legit “Him” type player. They ever find a way to spread the floor for him, they will be up there with OKC. I hate for the Knicks to play against them, but I admire the effectiveness of their style. They just wear you down like Thib’s Knicks, Riley’s Knicks, and JVG’s Knicks.

I struggle to reconcile KAT’s overall numbers with what feels like an insane number of downright invisible games from the guy. Suffice to say he brought nothing to the table tonight.
Now that the rules allow players to be more aggressive, can we get an enforcer before the trade deadline? Let’s bring the 90s back 🙂

KAT is using his arm again, the change lasted what? 2 games?
Did the starting lineup besides Brunson forget how to play bball? They have all been sucking for several games now.
He’s not a wing or guard that’s going to put the ball on the floor and create a lot for himself. He’s an 7’ C that doesn’t do a lot of low post work. All he really has is that straight drive to the basket where he finishes and draws fouls. If the defense can take that away he’s highly dependent on the PG creating things for him, or kick outs, or ball movement and stuff like that. When the ball is moving, he’s hitting 3s and driving effectively he scores. On a night that Brunson is involved in a mano y mano battle with another guard or dribbling around all night looking for his own shot while playing no defense he’s often going to get lost.

The loss in SA reminds me of the loss in OKC last year. Came in hot and feeling good, really played well in a competitive game against one of the leagues best (and lost)… And then things spiraled.
Really miss Hart but the team is looking dreadful at the moment.

Don’t fret about the line up. Pitching wins in baseball (generally) and by June 1st when Rodon and Cole are back they will have the best and deepest starting pitching in baseball. Cole. Freid, Rodon, Schlittler and Gil, with Warren and maybe even Schmidt by the end of the season. Plus Beck, LaGrange and Rodriguez killing it in the minors.

As I have often said, it takes time for teams to acquire enough game film to figure out what a team with major changes is doing and the see what works and what doesn’t against them.
It was about this time last year that our offense started to lose steam, so this feels pretty familiar. Now we’ll see whether Brown can counter-adjust to what the league is doing. It won’t be easy, since a lot of it is just athleticism-based.

gets the ball with just 5 seconds left and flushes it from 3 for the win…he’s still playing at a really high level…
Much of what is happening points to Brown who, in my view, seems at times as lost, slow to react, and chaotic when he does as the players on the floor. However, 1) he is our coach, not our enemy and 2) there is still a lot of basketball to be played. Let’s see how quickly Brown turns things around. I hope he succeeds swiftly and I hope we won’t see the mass anti-coach hysteria we saw against Thibs in previous seasons.

Philly just lost at home to a Denver team missing it’s entire regular starting lineup. OKC lost at home by 27 to Charlotte. Knicks might only have the 3rd most embarrassing loss of the night.
This was the first legit concerning loss.
