  1. JR got it strokin tonight in Cleveland.

For how many years should our max offer to Schved be?

  2. So how many times has the MSG broadcast brought up the Kurt Thomas game in Utah 2 years ago??

  3. Don’t worry, Byron Scott is freakin’ shortening his rotation like it is the NBA Finals, because he is a moron, so I think the Knicks will be in good shape tomorrow.

  4. Byron Scott is dumber than a box of rocks. “We really got to dig deep and win this one, guys, because we all know that if we finish out of the top five, we lose our draft pick. So let’s go win one so that we can give Philly a #6 pick!!”

  5. STAT after the Mavs got their asses kicked by the Cavs:

“I came here to win, and we’re [4 ½] games out of being out of the playoffs, which is unacceptable. This is something we can’t accept. We’ve got to find a way to refocus. We’ve got to key into the details of the game of basketball. We can’t cheat the game. We can’t screw around in games and practices and joke around all the time and figure we’re going to win games. This is the pros. It’s the highest level of basketball. We’ve got to act that way.”

They’re 5-6 since STAT joined them (he’s played well, though).

  6. I don’t think it’s the worst thing for the Lakers to try to win games. Not only does it show pride and a competitive spirit (“what the hell is that?” asked the Knicks), but the pick owed to Philly will have to be paid sooner or later anyway. The protections on it get smaller every year until it’s unprotected in 2019 (when Steve Nash, the player it was traded for, will be 45 years old). I think it’s better to pay debts sooner rather than later. Otherwise you get a situation like the Knicks in 2010, when they were still paying for Stephon, even though he’d been bought out and waived years earlier.

Also, the Lakers have Houston pick this summer, so it’s not like they’ll be shut out of the draft. Houston’s pick will be around #25. Not great, but something.

  7. IN 1985 the KNICKS have a top pick and an all time great scorer in the name of Bernard King who injured himself in 86. The rest is history or is it dejavu?

If it is a dejavu does it mean we will be in the playoff and be competitive for one decade?

    Interesting.

For me stop hating. NY in JUNE 2015 could be the best KNICKS in terms of players and flexibility since 1985.

  8. I think he’s implying that Melo could never be the same and ends up getting injured again shortly after we get Towns. Did King play at all with Ewing? I was too young back then. All I remember of Ewing that early in his career was when he was on Webster!

  9. “All I remember of Ewing that early in his career was when he was on Webster!”
This is another generation gap thing. You said that he was on Webster and my immediate thought was that I didn’t think that Marvin Webster’s career overlappped with Ewing’s (I checked and it didn’t really. The Human Eraser’s — as Marvin Webster was called, although Peter Vecsey called him the Human Erasure — career essentially ended in 1984, except for a 15 game cameo with the Bucks in 1987.) Am I correct in assuming that you were referring to the TV show?

    You are not alone. lol
