With the exception of the anniversary specials, I haven’t watched a full SNL episode in a decade, and barely even watch individual online sketches anymore. I suspected the Brunson episode would be bad, but I gave it a shot for Captain Clutch. Gave up halfway through. God, that was bad. The only thing I liked was the monologue, and that was something that I think only Knicks fans would find amusing. And it wasn’t even that funny; it was just awesome to see the guys all together, trying to do comedy.
Yeah, Alan, I was so hoping it was going to be at least neutrally droll, but the skits just got worse and worse. You probably missed it but they did one in an elementary classroom setting that was so cringy and inappropriate, I was kind of horrified for Jalen.
Those Clyde clips were more funny than last night’s ep.
No it’s not. Deuce is a solid. He deserves better.
It’s kind of a bummer that we’ve followed up a championship by making two of our 6 best players unhappy with their contracts while turning our back to the team’s most tenured player.

Deuce had a great year up until he got hurt. He came back for the playoffs and was in the rotation. He gave us his usual good defense but offensively he was not very good except for one blowout game against Philly that we would have won anyways even if hadn’t shot well that game.
With vets like Bruce brown and konchbar potentially making the team, he is probably expendable and spending 20 million on him doesn’t really make sense.
There is no indication that KAT is unhappy.
Both guys are under contract for this year. I get that the extension talks are an issue, but once they roll the balls out, it should be back to business.
I love Deuce, always have, even before he broke out. But he’s a utility player here and only his bargain contract makes him an awesome asset. You start getting up into 8 digits and that value doesn’t seem as great. I would miss him but since there seems to be no way to keep him while staying under the second apron unless KAT is cooperative, and our need for a better Mitch replacement seems more urgent than our need for a small wing with some rudimentary PG skills, I’m not all that worried about it.
