Isiah back? Dolan really doesn’t allow us to be (fully) happy!
You know, we are quite lucky that there is so much good content on the Knicks. It’s literally impossible to find a Yankees podcast that does not make me want to puncture my ears. Maybe it’s the baseball demographics, but is there a single Yankees analyst with a podcast that does not sound like a typical bro? If you have recommendations, please let me know.
I’m less engaged with the Yanks because the coverage and many of the online fans are unbearable. So many entitled whiners that I am no longer choosing to self-identity…
Macri’s co-host Jeremy Cohen is usually an advocate of rolling over assets rather than letting them simply depart. Pretty much the only time this administration has done that is with Mitch. But on a podcast earlier this week, Cohen basically said that if the organization isn’t going to extend Deuce, they should just keep him here for the season, because the quest to repeat is much more important than getting assets/depth for later seasons.
I guess if some combo of Shamet, Jose, Clarkson, and Kolek are just balling out at the level where Deuce really seems expendable, you trade him for something (a center, picks, whatever). But maybe we just roll with it.
There’s going to come a point where we’re really kind of fucked with this roster, as age, contracts, and lack of future picks become problems. We won the title. We could win another one within the next couple of years. Might as well go for it and accept that there’s going to be a Warriors-like fallow period coming down the road.
Ever since RAB closed their blog there’s no Yankees blog I visit on a daily basis like I do with Knickerblogger. RAB still has a newsletter that Axisa puts out a couple of times per week that I subscribe to.
In terms of Yankees fans podcast the only one I watch is Talkin Yanks, I enjoy their coverage. Joel Sherman of the NY Post has a weekly Yankees podcast that I usually try to watch too.
I read Pinstripe Alley some of the time, but it’s not the same. I enjoyed the short-lived RAB spinoff site, which I think was called Views from 314 Feet, but that also shut down due to the writers not having enough time to maintain a free site.
And I also don’t have a Yankee podcast that I like.
Idk how much this writer is spitballing here, but he does make it sound like Wiseman has the inside track for that last spot: https://www.si.com/nba/knicks/onsi/early-signs-between-knicks-james-wiseman-are-hard-to-ignore-01m3q4cx0dqs
I’m not going to hope on him too much, but it would be nice to have a developmental big on the team.
Who’s a developmental story like we would want Wiseman to be?. i.e., high pick center, looked unplayable at multiple stops, then suddenly got his shit together several seasons into his career?
Like, Bagley turned out to be a decent backup center after a very long time?
Alan, it may turn out is that the new market inefficiency is the 80%-20% player making losing a free agent for nothing rather than trading him before the deadline less of a loss, and even a net win.
Obviously I say the 80-20 thing tongue-in-cheek, but my point is that with the second apron being a virtual hard cap, nearly every contender is going to eventually spend the vast majority of its cap space with its starting lineup. It means that any player making over $10M as a bench player is going to become tough to keep if you also want to both keep and extend starters who are not close to aging out.
Deuce is a great guy at $4M but at $10+M? Then it becomes a balancing act. The Alvarado-Shamet-Clarkson combo for $12+M overlaps with Deuce enough to make risking losing him for nothing at the end of the season less of a bitter pill.
With Mitch, the calculus is different, but the idea is the same. Replacing the Mitch-Huk combo, which is now pushing $20M AAV, with, say, Drummond-Eubanks at $5M AAV may be a net loss on the court, but by not trading him at last year’s deadline, he was around for the championship run, and there’s substantial value to that. And while $5-6M of that cap space went to Alvarado and Shamet, the majority is likely to go towards the starters on their new deals.
So the ability to stay competitive, especially without a stockpile of first round picks or starters on rookie deals, is to churn the bench as effectively as possible, by developing high upside seconds until they price themselves out or by signing quality vet’s minimum guys.
Alan, I wouldn’t make much of that article, Brown probably does that routinely, even with scrubs. He might have been talking about a particular observation during practice, maybe even a negative one.
Given the size we are going to have to deal with, both in the regular season and the playoffs, I actually think it would be a good idea to ditch Dadiet and sign both of Eubanks and Wiseman. Make sure that one of them is on a partially-guaranteed deal (probably Wiseman) so that if you need to repurpose that spot later, the roster spot and cap space is available for an alternative minimum guy. Isn’t that kinda what they did with Shamet a couple of years ago?
Kolek is in an interesting situation. He’s got a team option for next year. He is almost certainly going to be stuck behind Brunson and Alvarado. Yet I think he will probably be at least marginally better than he was last year, and that team option might make him valuable to another team as an upside play.
Axisa’s paid newsletter is definitely worth every penny. I loved RAB for the community, but in terms of the amount of content you get the Patreon version is probably more substantial.
Haven’t found a KFS quality good podcast, though. I listen to Talkin’ Yanks from time to time and enjoy iy, but don’t consider it a must-listen (this is partially just because the MLB season is so long you invariably run out of interesting things to talk about at certain points).
I don’t want to be a broken record, but Dolan’s brand new second apron mandate has truly thrown a huge wrench into how the front office has tended to operate.
Katz has made clear on his podcast that he has it on good reporting that the front office itself does not believe “never, ever go into the second apron under any circumstances” is a sound principle in basketball terms.
I bring this up because as long as that mandate exists, I guess we’re just going to have to get used to the front office no longer being able to utilize the “continuous soup” concept. The math doesn’t work–you can’t hold certain salary slots in place while others increase and hope to stay under the second apron.
In other words, we’re going to lose some key guys for nothing. Or, more accurately, we’re going to continueto lose some key guys for nothing.
I believe it was Hubert who posited that part of the motivation on Dolan’s part was to kind of reassert himself as a Knicks main character as soon as he realized the team was generating great press for good reasons, for once. I completely believe it. The guy is simply a jackass of proportions that are difficult to comprehend.
I subscribe to Axisa’s newsletter too. I just wish there was one (1) good podcast I could listen to from time to time.
I miss Lindsey Adler’s coverage of the Yankees (even if she never did a podcast).
Great point. Is Deuce worth to us as much as Shamet + Alvarado are?
And that’s probabaly CAAs point too. Are you really asking KAT to hand over $10m for Deuce?
Hassan Whiteside played 2 years in the NBA, left and went overseas, then came back and was an impactful rotation player for several years.
The upside story with Wiseman is that he’s dealt with a lot of injuries over the years. He missed his sophomore season with a knee issue, then had an Achilles injury 2 seasons ago. If that bothered him last season, then the last good datapoint we have is from his age 22 season when other guys are still in college.
“I don’t want to be a broken record…”
LOL!
I agree with that assessment.
Pros:
– we have Deuce for the playoffs
– Deuce could play so well he becomes expendable.
– Deuce’s market may not develop as expected and we can afford to keep him
– the second apron mandate may disappear as suddenly as it manifested.
Cons:
– we might lose Deuce for nothing.
That’s pretty one sided for me.
If the Bucks want to give us Kel’el Ware, that’s another story. But going the Mitch route seems a lot better.
Shams:
I would also point out there’s another possibility no one’s talking about but I bet the front office is considering:
We can sign Deuce to an extension now and just trade him this summer if we need to.
Best of both worlds.
FWIW that’s exactly what Presti did with Joe, Wiggins, and Dort.
There’s no penalty for being over the second apron in the summer.
Honestly, I’m just viewing Wiseman as a 3rd string C. He’s probably no worse than Sims. Anything more than that is gravy.
Hubert, spot on for Deuce.
Now make pros and cons argument for KAT. Loosing an All NBA player for nothing vs getting back a fringe All Star in return who makes $15 to $25m less.
I think we (and I do mean “we” bc I did it, too) might have projected this.
If we’re asking KAT to take less money it’s probably just to pay Hart, OG & Brunson.
Our championship chances without KAT plummet. Losing KAT and Deuce aren’t comparable. You’d have to bet on that fringe all-star becoming a superstar.
And I don’t think there’s a scenario where KAT doesn’t either (a) get an extension or (b) opt-in to his player option.
The “continuous soup” analogy is interesting and a bit ironic. Some folks here “continuously” doubted that this strategy could lead to building a championship roster, and even said that it wasn’t really a strategy at all.
I don’t believe that the “continuous soup” idea is defunct because of the second apron. In fact, I think it is more apropos than ever. The irony here is that Dolan’s decree actually mandates that it comes into play!
The “go into the second apron to run it back” crowd is basically saying that Leon should keep all the ingredients in the soup the same until you are literally forced to empty the pot. Nothing added or detracted for now.
The decree forces Leon & Co. to detract and add in a way that keeps the soup as intact as possible. Which is exactly what he is doing. Mitch was detracted. Drummond was added, as well as greater ability to add and detract in future years.
Again, this isn’t to suggest that it was the best way to go, or that Leon and others in the FO were on board with it. But here we are in year 3 of the second apron restrictions and no team is hand-waving it away at this point, so only a very tiny part of the fanbase and media is even bringing it up any more.
Leon has clearly moved on from it. Probably a sound idea at this point.
Honestly depends on the star.
I would rather have KAT this year and lose him for nothing at the end than trade KAT for someone like Sengun.
I wouldn’t trade KAT for Duren, either. Not only bc I don’t want Duren but bc I’d be terrified of the Pistons with KAT.
The real con is KAT being disgruntled all year. That’s a much bigger problem than an unhappy Deuce, which really isn’t much of a problem at all.
It’s kind of crazy what these extension eligibility deadlines have turned into. They were created to help small market teams keep their stars from ever reaching free agency. Now they’ve become pre-free agency, essentially shortening every existing contract by two years.
I was listening to the baseball broadcast talk about Chisholm’s upcoming free agency. “The Yanks have a decision to make this winter bc his contract is up”, they said. I was like… You mean you can play out your contract and then make a decision? What a novel concept! When did we stop doing that in the NBA?
Z-man, that’s not continuous soup. The continuous soup idea was that you keep some bad contracts on the books because it allowed you to trade them for other players who made the same or less.
What you’re describing is not continuous soup.
Even during SNL, Josh Hart asked since Jalen left 113 om the table, does that mean its up for grabs. Everyone laughed but there is a lot of truth left in this. Can you imagine the limiations if JB deesn’t sign that extension?
I think all of Whiteside, Eubanks, and Bradley (who really isn’t all that bad, probably at least somewhat better than Huk right now) are going to ample time in preseason, starting on Monday. It’s really hard for me to have any firm convictions about any of them without seeing them play, and I think by the third game or so we’ll have a good idea of their fit.
I’m rooting hard for Wiseman, as having a young guy with upside who is also ready to be close to as good as the other two guys who have no upside would be ideal. Yet if it weren’t for the Brown connection with him, I’d bet on Eubanks.
Has anyone, literally anyone, at any point in the history of this blog, cast doubt on the wisdom of not letting large salary slots come off the books without converting them into other assets? This is what is meant by “continuous soup,” and I don’t recall anyone casting any doubt on it, ever.
This is, of course, different than asking if anyone has ever cast doubt on any aspect of the front office’s decision making, which obviously has happened many times, e.g. when they fired Tom Thibodeau and traded for Karl-Anthony Towns. But I don’t think anyone has ever questioned the wisdom of the specific thing we were talking about.
Again, this is a misunderstanding of the analogy. Replacing Mitch’s $13M salary, that can be used to match/aggregate salaries in a trade if need be, with Drummond’s minimum is not “continuous soup.” It is just replacing a very good center with a less-good center the owner is willing to pay for because he’s worse and will take less money.
The “continuous soup” analogy applied to guys like Fournier and Bogdanovic, for example. We didn’t want to let their salaries simply fade into oblivion, because salary slots themselves can be valuable independent of any basketball value provided by the players they belong to.
So, having clarified this misunderstanding, I will repeat: it’s not viable to operate this way once there is an iron-clad payroll threshold you can never, ever exceed.
You’ll inevitably run into situations in which, for example, it may be good front office strategy to keep a high-salary on the books for a player who doesn’t contribute much, at least not relative to his salary, but keeping that salary on the books pushes you over the second apron, so you can’t.
You really mean this?
One year KAT + 3yrs of Drummond/Wiseman type scrubs over 4yrs of Sengun during JBs tenure?
You’re heads over heals for Big Bodega, ha?
This works as a tl;dr of my post above, if anyone wants such a thing.
I, too, would like to add Eubanks AND Wiseman.
I wonder if the idea with Wiseman is that he will be this season’s Yabu (but another team might actually want him).
IE, we bring him onto the team. He gets some minutes and shows potential, then we flip him at the deadline (maybe with some seconds attached or maybe even with Deuce or Kolek, etc.) for a REAL upgrade at back up C.
I could see a team that is in development but has a good center maybe wanting that. Get some picks and upside players and we get our real upgrade at back up center?
“Z-man, that’s not continuous soup. The continuous soup idea was that you keep some bad contracts on the books because it allowed you to trade them for other players who made the same or less.
What you’re describing is not continuous soup.”
i disagree with this. The definition of continuous soup is pretty clearly not this specific, and the way I’ve heard Jeremy Cohen apply the analogy over the past couple of years is also more general that the specific language you use above.
Here’s a standard definition:
“As portions are consumed, new ingredients, liquids, and broths are constantly added to replenish the pot without ever emptying it entirely.”
It is also described as a technique used by “peasants.” Doesn’t that kind of describe our cap situation? And isn’t this exactly what Leon is being forced to do?
Anyway, if there are qualms, they should be with Jeremy C’s misuse of the term, not mine.
I heard another good theory recently. I don’t recall where, might have been Beck. Whoever it was suggested that Dolan was willing to fade in the background bc he wanted to win one, and now that he has, he’s comfortable to go back to being what he is.
That seems to track, too.
Today is the last day. Will Duren pull a Jim Jackson @ Dallas?
He’s been very clear. It refers to salary slots. This is why we kept bums like Fournier and Bogdanovic around, and why we almost picked up Derrick Rose’s 2023-2024 option for ~$15M following a season in which he played 338 minutes for us.
You misunderstood, which is fine. We’re all human. Just don’t double down, Eric Schmitt style.
The Deuce thing is interesting because I think he’s being underrated now because of his injury/playoff performance.
He was 45th in nbarapm impact just behind $150 mil player Jalen Suggs, and I think he could easily get $15 mil AAV on the open market.
Since it seems like it will be impossible to offer him that, we might as well try and trade him for assets, even draft picks if not another center/pf.
Like Mike Brown, I don’t see us getting this contract done.
Dolan was hardly fading into in the background in June 2025 when he allegedly overruled Leon and Brunson and fired Thibs. He also wasn’t fading into the background when he came out in public in January and declared that the team had better win a championship, and absolutely must get to the finals.
So it doesn’t seem like he didn’t wait for the win to throw his weight around.
Since the championship, he made a decree that is in 100% alignment with what the rest of the owners are doing. Sounds to me that if anything, he’s kind of a sheep following the crowd and possibly misinterpreting the realities of the second apron while doing so. I doubt that he thinks that he’s sabotaging the team’s chances just on spite, or just to flaunt control. Just like with firing Thibs, or making his pronouncement about getting to the finals, or making a locker room speech, I think he truly believes he’s doing what’s in the best interest of the team. He’s just not a good listener due to being stupid and having a huge ego.
I feel like watching the Soup Nazi episode now.
Somehow “there are no NBA teams currently on track to finish the 2026-2027 season above the second apron” has been recast as “no NBA team has ever finished a season above the second apron,” but they’re not the same thing and have very different implications. The former is true and the latter is not.
Teams have gone above the second apron for a season, penalties and all, when they thought they had a contender. Multiple teams in multiple seasons, in fact. It is clearly not the consensus around the league that doing so is per se disastrous.
Continuous slop.
ha BBA, I was just wondering:
what exactly is my favorite soup?
maybe a toss up between like a meatball/minestrone or clam chowder…
“He’s been very clear. It refers to salary slots. This is why we kept bums like Fournier and Bogdanovic around, and why we almost picked up Derrick Rose’s 2023-2024 option for ~$15M following a season in which he played 338 minutes for us.”
So he only meant it in reference to players who sucked enough that their salaries were albatrosses that could only be used in trades if sweetener was attached? That seems like a terrible use of the analogy by Jeremy. Sorry, I gave him more credit than that. But if you think it’s a good enough match employ that term thusly, that’s fine. We can agree to disagree on the semantics. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
As to the actual merits, I don’t see how that has anything to do with the second apron/no second apron discussion. Do you think that the purpose of going over the second apron to pay a player of Mitch’s caliber his market value on a 3-year deal with a player option has anything in common with the kinds of players that Fournier, or Rose, or Bogdonovic were, or the way that their albatross contracts were used, or the restrictions in place for using them, given the cap space/draft pick assets we had? I don’t see it.
I do, however, see lots of churning that is analagous to the ezsential notion of continuous soup as a way to operate in a restrictive (i.e. peasant-like) cap space environment ….mostly keep the soup mostly intact, but replacing outgoing ingredients by adding new ingredients to the mix. Does that not make sense to you?
I hope it’s clear that I’m not suggesting in any way that this was the best way to go, or that the soup got better as a result. I stated at the time that my preference was to for Leon to go into the apron to retain Mitch. I’m just suggesting that we move on.
Whatever Dolan is doing, rehiring Isiah is VERY foreboding.
Dolan is looking pretty old nowadays, anyone know the succession plan when he passes away?
yeah…look what happened to them. How did that work out in both basketball and financial terms?
Owners needed to learn a lesson.
As a matter of fact, at least one was forced to sell equity shares of their franchise to pay for this mistake and a couple sold their entire team as a result.
“Continuous slop.”
Didn’t you pledge to ignore my posts? Can’t help your petty little self, can you?
More Dolan involvement equals a little more chaos and disruptions. Getting Isiah Thomas back involved with MSG is very sad. It seems pretty obvious that he shouldn’t even be allowed in the building. For many reasons.
I also agree that Deuce is somehow becoming more underrated. He will be greatly missed if we just trade him for draft picks or a 3rd string center. He is levels above the other backup guards (maybe with the exception of Landry) we have as far as defense, and now 3 point shooting. I would just keep him and ride it out so it gives us the best chance of success.
I have watched Eubanks play some in the past and some of his film/highlights. He seems like a perfectly capable third string center. He has some skills and as people have said is a good screener, and solid rim protector. He players hard too.
Thank you, Director. I’m still waiting for the first success story for a team that did so. Seems like all 30 owners are done waiting.
Yes, and this is where “continuous soup” demonstrates its strength as an analogy, and no, it doesn’t only refer to poorly used salary slots.
What the salaries for Mitch, Fournier, Bogdanovic, and Rose all have in common is that they can/could be used in trades, such that when they come off your books, you lose something potentially valuable even if the player themselves is not a good player.
Note that nothing about the analogy requires it to be the case that the player is bad. It can apply to any salary slot you might one day want to use in a trade, so in our case, basically any non-Brunson salary slot. It’s not like anyone thinks that if we re-signed Mitch, there was a 0% chance we would trade him in the future. We would’ve, ahem, continued, to have his salary slot on the books with all of the flexibility that came with it.
But if you have a strict second apron mandate, you no longer have the flexibility to keep salary on the books in this fashion.
I don’t see how having Mitch’s salary on the books while over the second apron represents a salary spot for making trades. There would only be two reasons to trade him.
1) to get back under the apron, in which case, you couldn’t take most, if any, of that salary back.
2) to replace him in case he gets injured, in which case you will be in a terrible bargaining position compared to being under the apron.
You couldn’t even aggregate his salary with another to trade for a higher salaried player if one shook loose.
None of those things applied with Rose, Fournier, or Bojan.
Going over the second apron in 2026-2027, the season after winning one of the most cherished, celebrated championships in the history of American professional sports, does not mandate that you stay over it for the entirety of Mitch’s contract. You could pretty easily regain the ability to aggregate his salary in the future. Also, the slot itself is large enough to be used alone in a trade you might want to make.
Or, none of this could happen. We can’t see the future. In Mitch’s case this would be a fine outcome, because we’d still have a damn good player helping us win basketball games.
But regardless of the quality of the player, not having continuous soup on the books leaves you unable to take advantage of opportunities that doarise.
It’s actually worked out very well. For all of them.
Each team maximized their chances to compete in the year they went over, then easily ducked under before any penalties kicked in. Many of them then gained assets for the players that put them over the SA (i.e. continuous soup). I can’t think of a single team who went over the SA that is worse for having done so. The Celtics & Suns, in particular, are still benefiting greatly from the decision today. Neither of them would have the rosters they have today without the flexibility they gained from keeping those contracts on the books.
The better question is how did it work out for the teams that ducked the second apron? The ones that are aligned with Dolan?
It’s been disastrous.
Most notably for Minnesota. To avoid the SA, they traded KAT for Randle and Donte. Then they let NAW walk for nothing.
I read that KAT article again from The Athletic, and I love the part that Kat’s father said about him and Jimmy Butler. Good for KAT. Kindness and empathy is not a weakness, it is a superpower. He got bullied by people like Butler and Green into becoming someone he isn’t and didn’t want to be. Good for KAT staying to his true self.
Especially if Isiah Thomas weasles his way back into an influential position.
The downside scenario of signing Mitch and him getting hurt every year would put you in the same scenario as a continuous soup signing.
Effectively, either (a) Mitch plays to his value and you keep him or (b) you’re in continuous soup territory and trade Mitch + a billion 2nds for a usable player worth $15M or less.
As a result, soup proponents would argue that both situations are better than letting Mitch walk for nothing.
Being currently under the second apron doesn’t “align” with a commitment to never exceed it.
And you can’t just choose to go over an apron anyway. It takes a very narrow set of circumstances for exceeding even the first apron to be possible.
Very few teams have ever had the option of going over the SA. And so far most teams have chosen to exceed it, and they have benefited greatly for doing so.
Dolan needs an additional bunch of people to be directors since he is splitting up the sports empire. TBH what heavyweights he could get given his history with sexual harassment, ex-player feuds, ID recognition to ban ticket holders, etc was iffy. All that stuff is in the direct realm of what a director decides on. Isiah may have been on a shortlist of 1.
I still don’t think the “never go over the 2nd apron” mandate from Dolan is what everyone thinks it is. It’s not a literal NEVER.
I think it’s in part a bargaining chip because we have so many players that will be extending (and need discounts to hold it togther) and partly a mandate referring to THIS year because consecutive years over the 2nd apron is what causes the draft pick issues that this organzation must avoid at all costs given the age of the players.
They can go over it for short periods of time or go over and then back under it and be fine.
Dolan may be a stubborn jackass (see Isiah returning in any capacity), but Leon can explain these details to him and he’s capable of understanding them.
I think Deuce may ultimately be out, but I agree with those that think just keeping him for now is fine. We can revisit this at the deadline when we see if there are any injuries and whether we absolutely need a C .
Mitch was a very uinique situation in that his chronic injuries, FT woes and up and down mental health issues made him harder to value. His value when he’s playing is terrific, but you have no idea what you are going to get if anything in the playoffs. So do you really want to start the clock ticking on being over the 2nd apron for Mitch?
One interesting X factor is the expansion. In theory, we’ll be able to protect 8 players in an expansion scenario:
(1) Brunson
(2) KAT
(3) OG
(4) Mikal
(5) Hart
(6) Deuce
(7) Alvarado
(8) Shamet
If it happened today, I think that’s the pretty clear protection list. Anyone have a different list? I could see putting Diawara on the list.
Kolek and Diawara both seem like good candidates for an expansion team to draft.
Teams will also be making consolidation trades in the run up to an expansion draft to try and limit themselves to 8 protected players.
The other possibility with an expansion draft is you purposely don’t protect a bad contract. So, in theory you could sign KAT to a max extension and if everything falls apart, you could let an expansion team take him off the books.
I agree, Strat. And I’m still holding out hope that it was more about Mitch and his unique risk than some sort of permanent mandate that will apply to someone like Deuce, too.
The good news is we’ve already seen one of Dolan’s blowhard statements from the same interview get walked back. If the Knicks’ trip to the White House isn’t etched in stone, no reason to think everything else he said is.
Wonder if Brunson was the reason this is potentially not happening. brunson seems like a good soldier but I could see him saying hell no to this and Dolan maybe not caring enough to make it an issue.
Season Team Luxury tax bill
2023-24 Warriors $176,900,000
2023-24 Clippers $142,400,000
2023-24 Suns $68,200,000
2023-24 Celtics $43,800,000
2024-25 Suns $152,262,705
2024-25 Wolves $90,407,672
2024-25 Celtics $52,558,669
2025-26 Cavs $68,671,517
Here are the teams that finished season over 2nd Apron. Show me again how this benefited owners financially or in basketball terms for these specific seasons?
Dan Gilbert & other two Shmuckos are stupid rich but Warriors, Celtics and Wolves had to sell equity to pay for this. That’s just bad business.
If I’m not mistaking, the Boston Celtics won an NBA Championship one of those years… so that seems good.
lmaooo…that’s actually pretty good.
Well the Celtics won the championship but it was admittedly only because they didn’t have to go through the January Knicks.
They had the easiest path to the finals ever. Every team they faced had a major guy who was hurt.
didn’t include creamy tomato soup cuz that’s heavily dependent on the seasoning included with it…
final answer: going with the minestrone w/ meatball…that’s the one nana used to make 😊
Director, the Celtics guys sold their equity at the highest valuation in the history of basketball til the Lakers topped them after. That was a profit grab. That’s how they benefited from it financially.
Basketball wise they won 125 games and a championship. Then they easily got under the SA at no cost, even picking up some 2nd round picks.
The Cavs made the conference finals, something they would not have done without being over the second apron. They had no trouble making a major in-season improvement (swapping Garland for Harden). And the only reason they ducked under the SA was to nab Peyton Watson.
The Suns suffered for a lot of dumb decisions that have nothing to do with the apron (like Bradley Beal). But they suffered no apron consequences and used the continuous soup method to turn Kevin Durant into Dillon Brooks, Jalen Green, a lottery pick, and 5 seconds.
The Clippers and Wolves are textbook examples.
The Wolves were a championship favorite with KAT & Ant. But they wanted to duck the apron so bye bye KAT one year and bye bye NAW the next. They’ll never recover from that.
The Clippers won 50 games in back to back seasons. Then they decided to duck the second apron and let Paul George walk. Seemed reasonable at the time, but the replacements didn’t work out as they hoped, and it turned out they could have turned George into Jaylen Brown via continuous soup if they’d kept him.
Every one of those teams benefited by being over the second apron, and a couple of them got killed by getting under it.
The Warriors were just paying off the old championships.
Dang, I just saw some g-league highlights, and Akins is incredibly athletic. If he can learn the game, he could be something.
“You could pretty easily regain the ability to aggregate his salary in the future.”
This is a pretty glib statement. We would be $13M or so over just with Mitch. Then you have to explain to guys like KAT, Hart, Deuce and Brunson why they should take anything less than the max they can get or go even more into the tax. Then you have to either trade Mitch regardless of whether he wants to stay or not, or whether he likes where he’s going or not, and in an environment where teams can squeeze you. And that’s if he’s healthy! If he’s hurt, what team is gonna take on his salary and give up anything good in return? How much would have to be attached to make it work? And what is the apron situation at that time? Is it year 2 or 3 of being over? What about the repeater tax?
“Also, the slot itself is large enough to be used alone in a trade you might want to make.”
But again, think about the trade possibilities that would solve the second apron problem, especially when KAT, Deuce, Hart, and then Brunson have extension talks either ongoing or looming.
I think we should dispense with the “continuous soup” nonsense. This “continuous crying over spilt milk” is about one thing, and one thing only…the feeling that Mitch is an indispensable piece to a championship puzzle worth going over the apron for, no matter what the possible consequences down the road are. If folks want to minimize those possible consequences and compare them to turning Fournier (who was signed and retained for entirely different reasons under entirely different circumstances) and Bojan (who was traded for and then traded for entirely different reasons under entirely different circumstances) then I guess the discussion is even more pointless than it is on its face, since we are arguing over something that is already etched in stone.
The difference with the Celts is that they went over the second apron in order to win a first championship, while the Knicks were able to win one without doing that. Then they decided to keep the gang together and lost in horrific fashion in the second round. Then they had a fire sale and lost in horrific fashion in the first round. Then they sold a supermax MVP candidate for pennies on the dollar.
I have a lifelond diehard Celtics fan who is disgusted with the state of the team right now. The only thing he likes about them is their ability to develop late firsts and seconds and guys picked off the scrap heap.
Another team that got crushed for ducking the second apron is Denver (which is ironic because they’re currently over it).
They figured “flexibility” was better than Michael Porter Jr, so they traded him (and an unprotected first) for Cam Johnson so they could access those team building tools, which they used on three guys who totally flamed out and are already gone.
The proof is overwhelming. It’s ducking the second apron that’s suicide.
The Suns have been a spectacular failure. Since they lost in the finals in 2021, they lost in the 2nd round twice, then got swept in the first round, then missed the playoffs, then got swept in the first round again.
I don’t see how anyone can point to them as a team that benefitted by going into the 2nd Apron.
Honestly, I think a healthy Paul George is a better fit for the team than Jaylen Brown. He’s a better shooter and defender. With Tatum back, they won’t need Brown’s creation.
Very possible this take ages terribly, but I think this trade could be viewed as Boston fleecing Philly in a couple years.
Josh Hart is an All NBA press conference guy
“I know Jesus is at God’s right hand, but Cam Schlittler might be at his left.”
Yeah, I remember when Denver refused to keep Bruce Brown to keep the band together because someone gave him $22M to stink up the court. But had they kept Brown, I’m sure he would have made the difference in that game 7 vs. Minny when Naz Reid had the game of his life. I guess the great Cam Johnson (someone here really liked him, I can’t remember who) wasn’t the answer.
More generally, making bad personnel and staying under the apron are two separate issues. All four of the last two year’s finals teams have never gone into the second apron. That will be true again next year, and probably the year after that. It’s just the way it is.
I’m not suggesting they benefitted by making terrible trades for Kevin Durant & Bradley Beal.
The problem with them wasn’t “they went into the second apron”, it was the terrible team they built.
I am only pointing to the value of Durant’s contract in the context of the continuous soup discussion. It got them several pieces that are important to their current team.
“Honestly, I think a healthy Paul George is a better fit for the team than Jaylen Brown. He’s a better shooter and defender. With Tatum back, they won’t need Brown’s creation.
Very possible this take ages terribly, but I think this trade could be viewed as Boston fleecing Philly in a couple years.”
And if that happens, the main reason will be that it enabled Boston to stay out of the second apron while having a more balanced roster salary-wise.
Continuous slop.
The Suns are evidence that having Isiah Thomas anywhere near your organization is suicide.
So we’re fucked now.
Going into the aprons makes the margins on pretty much everything a razor’s edge.
I would feel a lot differently if my team’s owner refused to go into the second apron to retain an all-time great franchise player like Durant than for a spare part like Mitch or Deuce.
If we lose KAT because he wanted 35% of the salary cap and Leon had a ceiling due to the apron, I would not be outraged. It it were Brunson, I’d feel differently. If there is a time I would expect Dolan to do it, it is when Brunson extends. If he insists and Leon caves, then Dolan will probably have to reconsider. Otherwise, what’s the point of paying him if you can’t build a team around him? But the CBA may be modified by then anyway, so it could be a moot point.
“The Suns are evidence that having Isiah Thomas anywhere near your organization is suicide.
So we’re fucked now.”
Nonsense. I just looked yesterday and found out that Steve Mills is on the board of the Rangers, and they seem to be thriving with him there. Oh, wait…
Brunson disagrees. 🙂
Continuous whining by Mr. Continuously Wrong About Everything.
But hey, those Suns and Celts!
“The proof is overwhelming. It’s ducking the second apron that’s suicide.”
Literally one of the dumbest thing uttered on this blog in the apron era. But don’t ask me, ask 30 NBA team owners.
But hey, since this franchise is obviously dying, why not move on to a team that isn’t suicidal? Oh, wait…
We let Mitch go so Dolan could afford Isiah’s next sexual harassment suit
this never ends well…
ever…
easy though sometimes to convince yourself – well, this time will be different…
as someone whom tries to be overly protective of their mental health:
cost/benefit…risk/reward…choices…
preservation should be up there at the top…confidence can be misleading…
like your life depends on it…
“this never ends well…
ever…
easy though sometimes to convince yourself – well, this time will be different…”
Very out of context, geo. What are you talking about? What never ends well? Letting Mitch go for nothing?
Hey, Z-man and Hubert, what happened to that vow you both made to ignore each other?
Meanwhile, Frank pointed this out to me: Alvarado had NO idea he was legally allowed to do the move late in Game 4 that looked like a backcourt violation but wasn’t:

“We let Mitch go so Dolan could afford Isiah’s next sexual harassment suit”
With or without the tax?
better to seek out friends, than foils…
competition is oft just ego based…gotta regulate…yourself…
don’t want to say it is impossible to control others, it’s not…just takes a bunch of effort and emotional commitment…
“Hey, Z-man and Hubert, what happened to that vow you both made to ignore each other?”
I think Hubert made a vow to continue to ignore not being ignorant.
Z-Man you’ve spent the whole day making false and misleading statements intended to provoke responses from people. And you’ve been constantly obfuscating and misrepresenting other people’s arguments to turn them into something you can deride. I’m not going to get into anything personal with you, but I will call out the behavior because I think the board will be a better experience for everyone if this kind of stuff stops.
Anyway, I wish we could have a moratorium on bring up moot stuff ad nauseum. Seems like most folks are looking to move on from the reality of the second apron decree as it relates to this year. Yet a couple of guys feel the obsessive need to bring it up over and over again. Is there a point to be made about it that isn’t universally understood by everyone here now? Or does it have to be discussed a few thousand more times between now and next offseason when it is actualy a live issue again?
How about you make a vow to moderate trolling and instigation?
I’m not saying anything personal to Z-Man. I highlighted two of the many posts today where he was trolling to provoke a response and called them what they were.
Not to speak for the board, but I’m going to speak for the board: I think the rest of us think the board will be a better experience for everyone if the two of you stop responding to each other, permanently.
None of us care who started it.
None of us care who is more in the wrong.
None of us care about any of it, other than the fact that it sucks up all of the oxygen some days, makes the place miserable and difficult to read. I’m sorry you feel offended, Hubert. I’m sorry you feel offended, Z-man. But if the two of you choose to engage with literally every other person on the board except for one another, it creates a far better experience for the rest of us.
Then you’ll have to ban me because I can’t promise I’ll never respond to dozens of posts intended to provoke a reaction. On many days I can, and I will. But some days the will just isn’t there.
And frankly, Alan, you should care who started it when it’s been the same person 100% of the time. You only want it to stop when it becomes too much for you. But what you experience occasionally, some of us experience every single time we come here.
Hubert, you just made a whole bunch of patently false statements about the teams that went into the second apron. And for what purpose?
Why are we even talking about this moot shit at this point? I sure as hell didn’t bring it up. The guy who brought it up actually started with the disclaimer “not to sound like a broken record…” Doesn’t that imply that he was well aware that he was just regurgitating an argument that he himself thinks is settled, and that everyone has accepted in their own way and moved on?
Or are we gonna do the same shit that you did with the 19th pick for 5 straight years? Why don’t we re-litigate the catastrophe of not drafting Jalen Johnson for the billionth time?
Well, back another day, I guess. This was fun.
I took a day off after last Friday’s hatefest…back and forth they went…listen to Geo when it comes to mental health, lads
In other news, soup is good food
“Then you’ll have to ban me because I can’t promise I’ll never respond to dozens of posts intended to provoke a reaction. On many days I can, and I will. But some days the will just isn’t there.”
There you have it, Alan. Seem like Hubert wants it to be a one-way street. I was actually having a reasonable back-and-forth with TNFH, no name-calling, no insults, just some light sarcasm. I had no intention of responding directly to Hubert, except by extension that he was on the side of TNFH and EB, who seem perfectly capable of defending themselves without fake tough guy going all big brother on me.
I will be happy to continue to ignore that asshole but only if it is a two-way street.
What I will not agree to is Mr. Provocateur absolving himself of any blame for this shit. Fuck him.
I have not written one single hateful word today. I highlighted two posts that were intended to provoke a reaction and called them out.
In what world is this anything other than a provocation?
“better to seek out friends, than foils…
competition is oft just ego based…gotta regulate…yourself…
don’t want to say it is impossible to control others, it’s not…just takes a bunch of effort and emotional commitment…”
I still don’t know what you’re talking about, geo. How about if I frame it another way: *Why* are you talking about this? What is the context?
funny you say that rama…been hearing words that say you may be on to something with embracing slothliness…
as in: usefulness may be way over rated and not that great for your health…
Basically other humans will simply take advantage and use the fuck out of your personal penchant for productivity…
“I have not written one single hateful word today. I highlighted two posts that were intended to provoke a reaction and called them out.”
And who made this your job? Do you really think that no one else on this blog has the ability to do that, and that they need Hubert to come to their defense? Do Noble or EB, or any of the posters I argue with seem like they need your help?
there is no middle ground: all or nothing…
nothing = personal peace…
something = back and forth that turns hateful quickly…
not every one is meant to be cool with each other…
got to recognize and be aware of what is happening…
can not have it all…and, that is okay…
So this means there’s no big KB family in-person BBQ meetup, I’m guessing.
Take it from a retired ex-chronically online troll – there is no bigger waste of human energy and resources than being mad on the internet. Besides sitting in car traffic.
For the record, I don’t hate Hubert, or anyone else on this blog.
are you there now doogie 😊
I grew up in a home with a bunch of conflict…remember it doing a number on my nerves way back then…
very sure I am not the only one here to have experienced that…
I’ve learned over time to avoid conflict unless i’m able to see some path to successful resolution…
for years used to think i could intimidate or manipulate folks in to doing what I want…
people are stubborn, and some folks simply thrive on conflict…got people in my life that are close to me like that…
doesn’t affect me personally, unless you have something I really really want not fighting with you…
unless you have some kind of special mojo (leverage) – maybe “influence” folks a bit, but even that’s no guarantee…
one of the things I respect most with you mister doogie was your ability to let go of your ego, dampen your pride a bit – and work to fit in and get along with others…
it’s just not as easy as it seems…
and, sometimes some people just clash…for whatever reason…
that’s okay though, plenty of others to play with…
We need chat GPT to do another Knickerblogger Thanksgiving dinner episode.
I figured out that it must be about the current spat going on here, geo. Sorry I didn’t come to that realization earlier. As most of you know, I’m very literal and tend to need things spelled out for me very explicitly when there is any nuance to them. Works great for my job; not so much for real life.
Z-man, just a small suggestion. I think it would help if you stopped doing posts that were like “but some people on this blog” and then go off on whatever those people might have said.
I feel like Hubs reads those and immediately knows you’re talking about him (which you are).
We really don’t need to relitigate past errors or predictions. It’s fucking sports. I once said Bargs was a good pick up for The Knicks!
I said we should trade Mikal and blow up the team for Giannis after we were down 2-1 to the Hawks.
It’s ok that all of us are wrong, especially now that we’re champs. We don’t need to use our championship to say “see, I told you so!”
I was team optimist for years and was wrong for years. Us winning it all didn’t suddenly make my predictions right. It just made the feeling that I had that one day we would win it all right.
“Z-man, just a small suggestion. I think it would help if you stopped doing posts that were like “but some people on this blog” and then go off on whatever those people might have said.”
Fair enough. But that’s only part of the issue, isn’t it?
I think the weirdest part is how Z-Man and Hubert are literally addicted to yelling at each other. They can’t stop! Even when asked repeatedly to stop, even when they drive sensible, nice guys like Alan away, it’s still “He started it,” “No he started it.”
It’s like reading two toddlers who have big vocabularies.
Raven if you scroll you won’t find a single instance of me yelling at z-man (or anyone) today.
There were more than a dozen posts from him that were written for the sole purpose of instigating. Some of them were dog whistles that you might not have recognized. Eventually I highlighted one of them because it was getting hard to ignore.
I won’t yell or engage. But I may continue to highlight these blatant attempts to instigate in an effort to reduce them. I won’t use the phrase “continuous slop” any more, even though that’s quite literally what it is, because I can see that being inflammatory.
“I was team optimist for years and was wrong for years. Us winning it all didn’t suddenly make my predictions right. It just made the feeling that I had that one day we would win it all right.”
Honestly, swifty, I don’t think any of us are actually Team Optimist or Team Pessimist. I don’t like putting folks into camps at all, since as you pointed out about yourself after Game 3 vs. ATL, even the most optimistic poster among us is not 100% optimistic. In my case, I have been unfairly called a Thibs stan, or apologist, or worse, even though I have expressed all kinds of negative things about him, including on the day he was hired and the day he was fired. Broad-brushing folks and putting them into “teams” is not cool.
The truth is, most of us are in agreement most of the time. Even on this issue, I haven’t heard a single poster say “thank god Dolan didn’t let Leon go into the second apron, because if he did, we’d be fucked!” Nor did anyone say “Thank god we got rid of that bum Mitch, he sucked!” We might disagree on the repercussions, but not on what we hoped would happen vs. what actually happened.
I think that we all mostly agree that our team is nearly as good as it would have been if we did in fact retain Mitch, or at least good enough to have a solid chance to repeat….maybe something like drawing to a flush rather than to an outside straight. And there’s a lot of time between now and the playoffs for something unexpected to happen.
For example, I certainly didn’t expect Yabu to suck so badly that we couldn’t wait to dump him, but I also didn’t expect that he would facilitate a trade by declining real money. But hey, it all worked out! And even if Dolan committed a massive brainfart, it might work out again!
That doesn’t make me Team Dolan or Team Leon or Team Optimist. Just Team What’s Done Is Done So Let’s Move Forward And See What Happens While Hoping For The Best. That’s the one team I will admit to being a charter member of, probably for life. I guess like with you, Doogie, it’s a quality that served me better at my job than it seems to here.
“But I may continue to highlight these blatant attempts to instigate in an effort to reduce them.”
Yeah, I’m sure the blog will appreciate it, since it works out so well when you do that.
As you brought it up, what might you have said to yourself as the principal if you and Hubie were students fighting it out this way? Given that you have control over yourself but not over him?
(Apologies if you weren’t the principal – can’t remember exactly, you may have been the superintendent? Higher level? Don’t want to diminish what you accomplished…)
Raven, I topped out as principal, as I never wanted to be any further removed from the classroom.
Regarding your question, I would have done what Alan and others did and recommended that we ignore each other until we both decide to squash it and move on. (Which seemed to be the case the other day.) Then when things bubbled up, I would have looked into who broached the non-aggression pact and held that student appropriately accountable. And then I would have done what Swifty did and offer some friendly advice to the other party.
now curious how rama views success…
aging sure seems to change that definition…
maybe cuz my own achievements are pretty minimal – but yeah, work and money don’t do it for me no more…looking back at least…
settled in to viewing “success” in terms of health and relationships…
curious rama, where are you at now on seeing things…
There are plenty of neutral parties that can say something if I am coming off as specifically targeting Hubert. That’s fine! But under no circumstances will I tolerate him derisively chiming in when I am clearly not talking either to him or about him. If his opinion happens to overlap with the person I’m talking to, tough shit, get a thicker skin and butt out.
KEEP CALM
It’s 7:45 in the morning here and I opened this blog after making and saw 120 plus posts and thought something happened basketball wise. But no, it turns out it’s soup day — and I got tired of soup quickly. At least I understood the arguments in past mezzanine days, and they weren’t always fun reading, but they were better than soup.
On a basketball note, it occurred to me that both Akins and Robbin’s were on the summer league team, so the Knicks have first hand information about their capabilities. Despite needing a third string center, Akins got the two way and Robbin’s went to G league. So either Robbins has major flaws or Akins really impressed them. I hope it’s the latter.
you were clearly talking to me at several points. you think we haven’t seen a subtweet before?
it costs too much to ignore you at the volume you are instigating, and I don’t have the bank for it right now.
(it costs you even more fwiw… holding on to that thing I said about Leon in 2021 ain’t good for your health, either)
I saw that about Alvarado. And I actually saw a clip where Bublik got called for a foot fault for going sideways across the center line. He’s like ,I have been playing my whole life and didn’t know that was a rule.
It is crazy he and Alvarado don’t know the rules.
As for Hubert and Z-man, at least the are bringing down the price of beef by producing so much of it here.
There is a lot of preseason guessing in the press these days. Some of these strike me as missing some stuff. Here are two risky predictions of mine that I haven’t read anywhere.
One, Jamahl Moseley has a chance to be a candidate for coach of the year. Yes really. The Pelicans have talent and he’s a decent coach. It’s true their roster has some compatibility issues but the West is weaker this year and they could do better than expected, which, given how bad they were last year, really isn’t that hard.
Two, Micah Nori might be the first coach fired. It’s true he was just hired, but the new owner gave him the sort of contract that is designed for a quick firing. And the Blazers had a good season last year and then changed the team Substantially, creating some holes. The owner probably wants better than last year but might easily not get it. The west is weaker this year, but maybe not enough for Nori..
not sure why the blazers didn’t just keep splitter…we shall see how well he fares in chicago, way worst roster than portland’s…
just checked the pelicans roster, not sure who they can rely on for both offense and defense…
what makes you think they have a chance to be competitive KfniNJ?
I just read that Josh Hart is forgoing finger surgery because it would end his career and will play with pain instead. The full article is below. It’s an unprotected link.
https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7649921/2026/10/01/josh-hart-new-york-knicks-finger-injury-nba/?unlocked_article_code=1.FlE.yr7y.a1P4JyMjzGfR&source=athletic_user_shared_gift_article_copylink&smid=url-share-ta
100% with you, Geo. I climbed the mountain and there was nothing at the summit except emptiness and cold wind. Took about a decade of existential crisis to figure things out. Which you seem to have done – the best use of your time is to love and support others and let them love and support you. And to pursue something you’re passionate about purely for the pleasure of doing it and getting better at it over time. Putting positive energy into the world before you leave it has to be a good thing.
Geo, those are both good questions. I think the Blazers should have kept Splitter but suspect he was too expensive for the new owner. He obviously had an alternative with Chicago. He did great coaching for the Blazers and the players seemed to buy in. Now they have more large egos to manage because of their off season moves and a coach who may not seem to have the owners confidence. That could go wrong easily. I’m not saying it will, jus5 that it’s a possibility.
As for the Pelicans, I think there’s a chance Mosely can get some players to play more defense than they have in the past. It’s just a hunch, so I could be way off base here. But they were so bad last year and didn’t change their roster much, so Mosely could get the credit if they are better.
hope you are well rama…
my internal chatgpt profile for you is: Kwai Chang Caine…been around a bunch, by foot (which is important), seen some things and some people, from all over…the earlier academic/spiritual studies make sense…
when it comes to wisdom, quickly defer to you sir…hope you get of chances to share it with others…
probably still embrace that sith creed at heart, somewhat, probably paranoia driven mostly…just another part to make a whole, thing…
out of total necessity though i’ve needed to decode and debug my own cognitive processing and behavior…I was headed to spend this part of the journey, ’til the end – mostly alone…angry a lot…
anger and anxiety are great fuels, until the cost is too much for your body to bear…nothing is free…
probably would not have affected my general disposition if i had continued relishing in my own company primarily… probably would have cost me years of life though…
“you were clearly talking to me at several points. you think we haven’t seen a subtweet before?”
Here’s where today’s problem started:
“
Continuous slop.”
Before that point I was strictly talking to and about TNFH, and he was able to handle it without getting nasty like you did here.
“it costs you even more fwiw… holding on to that thing I said about Leon in 2021 ain’t good for your health, either”
Wait, you left out 2022,2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
hey now KfniNJ, ain’t there a little bit of foodie in ya at all?
current go to type soup…maybe family memory…
food makes me happy…soup is like a delicious beverage and food all together…
if you’re concerned with the whole conservation of energy thing – very very efficient consumption of nutrients…cuz nothing is free…
just ask josh hart’s finger…ouch…
Wow, there’s a conundrum — who would you rather see lose, Deshaun Watson or Aaron Rogers?
wow, what neat night of sports, sans nba of course…
NFL, MLB playoffs…
and the winner is: caitlin clark, of course
In this case, Aaron Rodgers:
1. I’ve got Cleveland at +2.5.
2. My opponent in fantasy is playing the Steelers defense.
okay, just checked…142 posts and counting…
at exactly some where around 21:15 two posters had the inspiration to begin their post with the exclamation: wow…
hadn’t been used by any one, all day…maybe for days…
suddenly it appears twice at 21:17…tell me we are not all some how connected…a bit…
WOW
expect senor donnie to be checking in at some point…once he finds a spot to hide…
you’re a pretty deep thinker donnie…tell me, what are your thoughts on soup…
Who’s staying up with me to await the result of the Moussa Cisse guarantee deadline?
It’s also the Jalen Duren QO vs. $200M deadline.
Moussa Cissé is currently on the Dallas Mavericks roster after they matched an offer sheet, but his contract is only partially guaranteed, leaving a slight possibility he could be waived or let go depending on roster decisions.
Roster Crunch: Because Dallas has a crowded frontcourt and other roster adjustments to make, analysts noted that Moussa Cissé remains one of the easier financial pieces for the team to move away from if they need to clear a spot.
Don’t break my heart all over again.
Well the Duren drama is over. 5/$200M
Nossir, I’m connected to my kids, my mom, a few good friends, and random strangers on an Internet blog – not alone, just wandering, and learning
oh your right…he was kind of alone…peaceful…doing his own thing…going where he wants…eating what he wants…watching what he wants on tv…living quietly…unencumbered…
free…
hmmmmm, don’t remember caine having a dog either…
But he had a cool hat
Actually it was here:
Even Swifty politely pointed it out. You’re not fooling anyone.
But now I look as stupid as you for playing the “he started it game.” So we both lose.
I counted 22 posts from you today that were written solely to instigate. Try to do better tomorrow. (And by “do better” I mean zero not 23.)
Even though I watched game 5 beaucoup times this summer…its on nba channel right now and im soaking it in…
That was directed at TNFH. If you are to petty to realize that and want to think that everything is about you, well, let’s just say it’s not surprising.
And beyond that, go fuck yourself.
Looks like Moussa Cisse’s contract is now fully guaranteed. Alas.
This blog can be real a rollercoaster, but I’m super peckish. Could do with some soup, continuous or otherwise, right now
